Mi-24 Hind

 

Just saw a former Bulgarian Mi-24 do some high speed, low altitude flybys last weekend, and I can't believe the lack of sims dedicated to this aircraft given it's distinct place in history!

 

It sure would be something to have an Mi-24 done to the level of detail that the DCS Ka-50! With all of the history behind the aircraft, there are a ton of possible theaters, but Afghanistan certainly sounds like a great place to start.

We could have japan and some parts of china included, imagine the theater of operation! Japan's self-defence forces agains the russian federation, nato included there and the chinese forces!

We could have a mission on which you have to take your mig-29 to japan in order to scape from russia, and of course you could also play the roll of the su-27s chasing the traitor mig!

Extending the current map east to the Caspian and south to Nagorno-Karabakh would open up some interesting scenarios.

Definately Afghanistan will be most appropriate for dcs and lock on series. Also Balkans and Adriatic Sea would be interesting.

2 theatres i can think of.

 

To keep it simple with US NATO and Russian aircraft i would suggest a theatre centered around the Manas Air Base in Krygyzstan, which i beleive is right on a border. it has been threatened to be closed recently, perhaps something could spark a US/Krygyzstan/Russia/ECT. conflict?

 

 

if you do the BAE (like i want :pilotfly:) then perhaps a Sudan/Red Sea conflict. US operating from Egypt and British from the red sea to end the Darfur/chad violence. you could render up some AI controled Chinese aircraft since 80% of Sudans oil goes to China which would make things interesting.

Besides I will always support the idea of spending 90% of resources on improving and slightly expanding the current Caucasus theatre and only the remaining 10% on development of new theatres. :protest:
