Deadman's A-10 C Cockpit Build

Deadman

Recommended Posts

Just a heads up on the status of the Alpha builds going on. I have heard back from the stateside member lumber and has been purchased materials cost is under $300.00 .

The plans have been set up so any one with a circular saw or a table saw and a a jig saw. will be able to make all of the cuts by hand. No CNC is required just some skill and a bit of patience.

CNCs and Laser engravers are great but they can't do squat with out a precise set of plans.

Guys I must apologize the alpha builds have taken way longer than expected.

I could give you all the excuses in the world but it come down to my own failure to fully explain my expectations

of the members that are building the pits and making the instructions.

I have finished work on several item and want to see if there is any interest at all.

If there is I will submit the 3d models to a local company for a quote on a price for a kit form. For the pedestal.

I all ready have a quote that is less than $250.00 this is a laser cut bare metal kit with rivets included.

You guys would need to get a rivet gun and a counter sink if you want flush rivets.

Here is what the pedestal looks like

Pedestal_zpsuvmye4en.jpg

The left console the only addition thing for the builder to do would be counter sink all of the holes

on the right side panel for rivets if they wanted a flat finished

inside wall use a bit of filler and paint the kit.

I have not gotten a bid yet

The Right console is not finished yet the fire pull housing glare shield would be sold as a completed unit.

With out handles switches or light plates only the aluminum body power coated flat black.

I don't think the unit would ship well with the should curves as a kit.

I am quite confident the consoles and pedestal would be prices less than 1/2 of other makers They do not have Dzus rail but are set up for $8/ M4 fake Dzuse screws. so take the pol and let me know if any one is looking for these please don't post if your not thanks

I wanted to add a poll buy can't seam to find it ah well time for a beer.

Definitly interested Deadman :-) I seem to recall that you also made a suggestion some time back about fire pull handles, but there wasn't enough interest.

Ah found it; http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=2026589&postcount=806

Would that still be possible if there was enought buyers?

Cheers

Hans

Thanks Peter,

As with any of the things I have produced in the past if there is enough demand there will be a run made. So if any one else want some thing just let me know.

Hi DM. Just saw this myself. Been a bit busy lately and haven't been checking the forums. You know I'm always going to be a yes for your projects, so count me in if you don't shelve it. You always have top notch stuff that's second to none in price/quality. Thanks.
