starscream16 Posted October 7, 2010 Posted October 7, 2010 I've successfully downloaded and installed the game but I crash after the mission/scenery loading screen. How do I make sure I'm running the 32bit version? I'm running Windows Vista 32bit & from what I've read there should have been an option for 64 or 32 on the installer which I didn't see. Would the game even open if I accidentally installed the 64? Please help!

I downloaded from torrents and installed it, however it didn‘t have option to choose 32 bit install and I got only two icons on my desktop. Pay attention to details during installation. One of the install pages has 3 littles boxes and 2 of them are ticked by default. The third one is the 32 bit files you must install if you want to use your track IR. Then run the X86 shortcuts to play the game no matter what version of windows you are using. Track IR does not yet support 64bit games but it will soon. Now the task of building a proper profile for my Hotas. I know is the beta and in my case I love to have the box and the cd, like a backup. I just rersently buy Ka-50 and I love it, the only problem is that I love to fly planes better. So, should I whait for the beta to be over and all the bugs fixed and keep playing in BS or go for the beta A10 Warhog? <S>

You don't get a physical card, however, they'll email you credit card number and a three digit security code found on the back of all credit cards that every e-tailer ask for. It works like a debit card in that you must have at least the exact amount that you want to spend in your bank account and it gets deducted as soon as you made a purchase. My bank doesn't advertise it and I had no idea this thing even existed. Might be the same where you are. ED have been taking my money since 1995. :P

Thank you for the advice but I just uninstalled everything, re-downloaded the game, re-installed it taking care to read everything very carefully but was never given an option to install or "check" any 32 bit dialog boxes or x86. Any other suggestions?

I've been pining for this game for 6 months and now that the beta is available there is simply no time. Never the less I probably won't be able to resist plopping down my money so at least I can start to learn how to fly the beast.
