Lol, user manual for Warthog describes how to engage the afterburner detent (by opening the cover above it). It also describes how to detach the base plate (for the cockpit mounting) - which exposes insides of the stick base. And on the next page:

 

This warranty shall not apply: (1) if the product has been modified, opened, altered,...

He's not really into modern warfare combat sims, but he is interested in flight sim. So I gave him a lot of fsx add-ons for it :P

He's not very good atm, so he's beginning in a piper cub :P

Two weeks because it's not arriving at the place I ordered it till Nov 2nd, another week from now. Then it's shipping ground since I couldn't afford the $100 for overnight. So if there's a miracle I might get it by next Friday, but more likely the week after that.

Have to say that my first impressions are: Wow! I can actually fly smoothly!! The stick is so smooth compared to my stock Cougar. Only small inputs are needed and coordinated turns with rudder pedals are a treat. The microstick on the throttle is a little tetchy, but I'm hoping I can sort that within TARGET. Switches are super chunky and robust. Everything is to hand and works well. Awesome!!!
