Furia Posted October 8, 2010 Posted October 8, 2010 Well, it seems it is true the new Warthog is going to be released next week in the USA. I just finished talking by phone with Thrustmaster official shop here in Spain and they confirmed it. Next week in the USA, and the following weeks here in Europe. Congratulations to our USA friends that will get their hands on theis wonder so soon. Let us know how you like it and post feedback. :joystick: [sIGPIC]http://menorca.infotelecom.es/~raulurbina/ESA/banner_furia.png[/sIGPIC]

Itkovian Posted October 8, 2010 Posted October 8, 2010 I have to admit, that is not unexpected. I wouldn't be surprised at all if this whole "beta pre-release" thing is meant to coincide with the HOTAS Warthog's release. After all, this is what this HOTAS is for... it would suck if it were released without something that fully leverages its features. That said, I need to start amassing some funds again. I can't wait to see how well the HOTAS Warthog works with A-10c, once it's release. If it does work as advertised, with no programming needed to have a replica of the Warthog's controls in A-10c, then I will definitely buy it. :) Itkovian
Steel Jaw Posted October 8, 2010 Posted October 8, 2010 Would rather buy from an actual brick store so i walk out with it for that kinda $$$...oh wait, I cant afford that anyhow. I know that its a pre-order, and yes Thrustmaster.com has put out the official release, hence the first web link. How could it be a dirty trick to put something up for sale before its released, your playing A-10C right now aren't you? Its a simple pre-order. JIMJAM Posted October 8, 2010 Posted October 8, 2010 After spending a small fortune on their earlier sticks back when Falcon was king and having the pots fail quickly, unable to hold calibration and overall poor quality, I hope TM has gotten alot better. Awaiting actual hands on reports and how they hold up to some good ol yanking and banking.
Yskonyn Posted October 8, 2010 Posted October 8, 2010 (edited) Thanks for the link! Didn't know that! :) Now I only have to pursuade the wife so I can go do clicky.... Funny, DarkEagle, you're upgrading your X52 as well, just like my intentions are. :) In the end I never really got accustomed to the light feel in the stick of the X52, how about you? MTFDarkEagle Posted October 8, 2010 Posted October 8, 2010 (edited) I quite enjoyed mine actually, I've had mine a couple of years, so I'm quite used to it ;) But it does feel very fragile... Just like that, no further discussion.... females... amazingly confusing sometimes. :) Anyway, that's the Warthog sorted for me I think! yay! Feuerfalke Posted October 9, 2010 Posted October 9, 2010 Not meaning to derail the thread, but this reminds me to an old joke: A mighty genie rises from a bottle and grants a man a single wish. He tries to make up a good wish, something he always wanted. Finally he says: "I've always wanted to visit America. But I live in Europe and I'm afraid of flying and I'm getting really seasick. So my wish is: I want a bridge from Europe to America." "Are you crazy? Just imagine the mass of the pillars, how many concrete this would take. The ocean is kilometers deep. Do you even have an idea how hard it is to make them withstand the waves, the tides and the storms?" "Okay, then I want to understand women. I want to know what they really think when they say 'ah, nothing' or 'okay', why they always run in pairs to the toilette, what they really want, why they do the things they do and why both changes by the hour." "Would 8 lanes be sufficient?" Ragtop Posted October 11, 2010 Posted October 11, 2010 Can someone please confirm weather the thrustmaster warthog joystick has a twist axis that can be used for rudders? Nope, this is a simulation stick, designed around complete accuracy and precision, not a game stick! You'll need some real rudder control to compliment this beat :) 476th vFG Alumni
