I have the 64bit TS3 (3.0.2) version. In the past, the TARS plugin and TARS self were ok, but now I have this issue:

Any help? Thanks in advance.

Maybe you should reinstall the teamspeak plugin from the tars control panel? Or you can remove the plugin (.dll file) from the program files\teamspeak 3 folder and try reinstalling it. Maybe it will help?

The newest TARS uses API version 14, not 8. Something is definitely wrong. Please uninstall TARS, make sure your Teamspeak 3 plugins folder is free of TARS dlls, and try reinstalling TARS again.

Hi,

A warning for those users of TacView. I'm afraid, they will have to disable the TacView if they want to enjoy this wonderful TARS.

To do this, you just only need to open the TACVIEW program and uncheck support for the A-10C: Record [DCS: A10C]. This line is erased automatically Export.lua: dofile("./Config/Export/TacviewExportDCS.lua")

Thank you very much for your work, HeadSpace. Donation sent by Jesus

Thank you! But, TARS and TacView work fine together.

Edit: On second thought, I probably can tell you what's going on. Certain units were removed from a file that TacView uses in the latest release, so TacView will break with 1.1.1.0 (until the next release). This will cause the execution of the entire Export.lua to fail, so it will naturally stop TARS and whatever Export mods are in there as well.

If you don't want to wait, you can apply a temporary patch to your TacView here: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=81459.

No problem. It would be helpful if players could test A-10C and Black Shark 2 in MP to vet out any hidden issues that I haven't caught in the lab setup.

We tested it yesterday with 2 Hogs and 2 Sharks. It was great fun.

Maybe, we found an issue. We both (A-10) talked over VHF/FM. I had my VHF/AM on, listen to the Sharks. My wingman had his VHF/AM off. But he could hear one of the Sharks, too. He could hear the Shark gentle and not clear.

Another problem:

6 of us testet TARS with Sharks (2.0) and A-10Cs. Another guy installed TARS (according to the instruction), set it to active in the CP and activated the plugin in TS3 (with TS3 restart). But as he was in game and in cockpit, his TS3 Info said "TARS not running".

He's the only one with a German DCS A-10C version, patched to 1.1.1.0 to english. I don't know, if the localized version is the problem.

He did also a fresh install and re-install of TARS.

Do you have an idea?

kind regards,

Fire

for some strange reason Tars is not picking up the mic switch select on my TM WH to select what radio to use. it stays on the default UHF. if i use the keyboard to select the radio, then i am able to select and transmit using keyboard.

i was able to gather this bit of info from the 'tars-plugin.log'.

.

20:10:20.027 [58a9c00: 499] Error during PTT event.

20:10:20.027 [58aa298:1274] TS3 Error: (null)

Incase anyone hasn't noticed already.. the new patch requires you to 'uninstall' and 'reinstall' the TARS plugin to A-10

By this I mean go into the TARS control panel, click A-10... uncheck Install Tars once, and then check it back again to re-install the files.

Also make sure the game is closed when you do this.

Myself and 2-3 other people all had to do this after finding out the patch broke the links between TARS and A-10

I should have some additional spare time over the next three weeks to hopefully add directinput capability so that the plugin won't need Joy2Key anymore if you want to use it with your joysticks. I'll know more in the next few weeks.

Nice! one less thing to remember

you might already be doing this but in order to talk on the AM channel you need to press ctrl + 2 and to talk on the FM channel you need to press ctl + 3 and to get back to UHF you need to press ctl + 1. after that you can press your teamspeak button to talk.

Also make sure the radio is on and tuned to the same freq.

The keys are configurable in the TARS control panel so you can match them to HOTAS mic buttons but the radio menus will come up when you do that.

some like it that way some do not.

thanks

Continuing to work on adding DirectInput compatibility. I'll post updates as they occur.

Update: Plugin is now on DirectInput and accepts joystick/key combos as you care to define them. Working on setting up the configuration tool to make combos.

Now I'm working on the selectable channels for headphones feature people have been asking for. All of this will require some testing so I don't anticipate a public release until sometime after the week of January 9th.
