Hello simmers!!!

I recently ordered from Amazon.com, a X52. Its expected to arrive next 10 days or so. Just as I was scouring youtube for vids about x52 , since the itch is becoming unbearable , I came across this fellow:

Now you can imagine what I'll do next on my channel here if it turns out the x52 is that gay. You gotta admit, he's funny, and very pissed off at the same time. I admit I have the same , dead-reckoning issue, with crappy hardware. :helpsmilie:

Bad day for X52 owners, including me

I have a saitek x52 non pro and have had it for over a year with no problems. I upgraded from a x45 that I used for 3 years. Will keep this stick till it dies.

Before I got my CH back in 2003/2004 I had a X45 and after 6 months of hard flying it developed bad center play. I bought my CH and haven't had a problem in all the years I have had it ( no mods that cost $$) I liked the X45, I can't stand the CH throttle. If only they made the F-16 throttle I wouldn't of had to buy a cougar that doesn't work :music_whistling: Come on CH, how hard would that have been?

I bought two of these and I was happy with it for about six months, then I started to have problems with it. The other X-52(my friends) developed problems too. I ended throwing mine away and I don't think my friend uses his anymore.

Maybe the X-52 PRO is better but I definitely wouldn't recommend the non PRO version.

I said I would never get another Saitek again. Now I have CH and am very happy.

I also tried an X52 Pro and after 3 or 4 months it got spikey as heck. RMA'd it but I never used it again. Bought CH gear and love the quality. But I also recently got the HOTAS Warthog, as I couldn't resist having accurate button placement and the dual-throttle. I'm keeping my CH on standby though, especially after reading all of the issues with the Warthog throttles being flakey. So far so good, though.

Like others have said, I wouldn't touch Saitek again.

I sincerely hope you have better luck then the rest of us did...

I used the X-52Pro for 2.5 years and it worked great. The SST programing software sucked though. I programed in game and it worked fine.

I got the WH now but I'll keep the X-52 just in case.

I had mine for over 3 years and no probs.

The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance.

im about to ebay my x52. Its works great but has a strange problem. In the control panel all of the buttons and checks are perfect. No spikes, all buttons register. But when trying to fly in FC2 the stick doesnt control the plane right and isnt reponsive. I have tried with or with out software and gave up. foggy on details.

However Black Shark arcade mode works just fine. Never a problem with the throttle. Not a problem at all with stick in BlackShark Arcade mode. Just the stick with software and control panel checks out everything good. I have become biased towards the sietek. If someone wants it. make an offer. I have the full retail package still.

I bought my X52 non-pro used. The mouse stick latches right onto the input from the normal mouse. A bit strange for a default behaviour (just set it in the SST to something else than the mouse axes, and you're good), BUT: it's off-center in no small way. Unfortunate, but I got it at about half the price of a new unit. Saved some money for getting CH-gear next time around.

In all fairness, though, I love the stick nearly to bits otherwise. My only gripe is the upper part of the top of the stick (the half of it that's above the plane where the POV-hat sits - the thingamajig with the mode-selector on it) and the button placed on it. The most uncomfortable bit of any flight-/game-controller I've ever had, actually, but the rest is... pretty sweet.

I have the X-52pro for a year and a half and have no big issues. Only a wee-bit of "stiffness" when I move the joystick around but that won't bother me too much.

Still I'm going to sell it (as it is in a great condition) as soon as I get my hands on TMWarthog.
