You salute your aircrew?? That's a really bad idea, you'll end up making them think they are important. ;)

Salute very much an important tradition- watch closely.. :D

...can't find the one I wanted- which was supposed to be filmed from a base in Saudi.. funny as hell

(and wtf is up with the youtube button in the post editor?)

The guy in the figure 23 holds pistol in the wrong hand, no?

It's not a pistol it's a wand for Marshalling at night.

No, it just switches the brake system from the left to the right hydraulic system. Absolutely no parking brake on the A-10.

Not correct, the handle is for the emergency brake accumulators in the nose. The RT Hydraulic system charges those accumulators but again, the handle does not switch it from the left to right system.

He was joking. ;)

Fair enough, i haven't seen a proper hydraulic system sketch of the A-10, i just go on what people with more knowledge tell me. But then my point was only that there is no parking brake. :)

Good, fast, cheap. Choose any two.

Come let's eat grandpa!

Use punctuation, save lives!

No big deal to either just wanted to share my experience...Whenever we tow an A-10 from one spot to another if always make sure the nose accumulators are charged so we can just use the emergency brakes if needed and not cholk walk the jet. most times we have to fire up the APU to charge them since it's a inspection carded item to drain the charge to inspect the precharge level.

It could be implemented without too much work by making the "W" stay on by toggling it. maybe this could be done in the GC menu or possible by double tapping "W".

Since LockOn the following sets the parking brake (English Keyboard) :

Press [W] + [Pause] then [Pause] to set parking brake.

Press [W] again to release parking brake.

It works for SP and has to be tested for MP.

Well i tried this in MP last night and it sort of worked.... I did the keys and when i unpaused the game i was stuck in one position! After hitting W again i was still stuck for about 10 seconds before the brakes let go.

My friend flying on my server couldnt get it to work.

Hmmmmmmm

Mmm... Never happened to me. Usually the nose wheel is turned so I guess it makes some resistance to move while starting up. But I never moved forward. I only set the nose wheel steering when I am about to move.

But, yes and option for that would be good, with visual chocks would be nicer. Also it would be great to see the refuelling hole when you ask to refuel. Minor details. :P
