S77th-konkussion Posted March 9, 2011 Posted March 9, 2011 (edited) You salute your aircrew?? That's a really bad idea, you'll end up making them think they are important. ;) Salute very much an important tradition- watch closely.. :D ...can't find the one I wanted- which was supposed to be filmed from a base in Saudi.. funny as hell (and wtf is up with the youtube button in the post editor?) Snoopy Posted March 9, 2011 Posted March 9, 2011 (edited) The guy in the figure 23 holds pistol in the wrong hand, no? It's not a pistol it's a wand for Marshalling at night. No, it just switches the brake system from the left to the right hydraulic system. Absolutely no parking brake on the A-10. Not correct, the handle is for the emergency brake accumulators in the nose. The RT Hydraulic system charges those accumulators but again, the handle does not switch it from the left to right system. sobek Posted March 9, 2011 Posted March 9, 2011 It's not a pistol it's a wand for Marshalling at night. He was joking. ;) Not correct, the handle is for the emergency brake accumulators in the nose. The RT Hydraulic system charges those accumulators but again, the handle does not switch it from the left to right system. Fair enough, i haven't seen a proper hydraulic system sketch of the A-10, i just go on what people with more knowledge tell me. But then my point was only that there is no parking brake. :) Good, fast, cheap. Choose any two. Come let's eat grandpa! Use punctuation, save lives!

effte Posted March 9, 2011 Posted March 9, 2011 Come on, add one option to the GC voice menu, add some voice, add a break on, break off routine coupled to that system, Add a key for chocks on/off, and a text prompt acknowledging the command. Simplest hand gesture in the book. No intercom required. :) 1 ----- Introduction to UTM/MGRS - Trying to get your head around what trim is, how it works and how to use it? - DCS helos vs the real world.
jeffyd123 Posted March 9, 2011 Author Posted March 9, 2011 It could be implemented without too much work by making the "W" stay on by toggling it. maybe this could be done in the GC menu or possible by double tapping "W". i7 8700K @ 4.4Ghz, 16G 3200 RAM, Nvidia 1080Ti, T16000 HOTAS, TIR5, 75" DLP Monitor
Pat01 Posted March 9, 2011 Posted March 9, 2011 Since LockOn the following sets the parking brake (English Keyboard) : Press [W] + [Pause] then [Pause] to set parking brake. Press [W] again to release parking brake. It works for SP and has to be tested for MP.
jeffyd123 Posted March 10, 2011 Author Posted March 10, 2011 does this work on A-10? i7 8700K @ 4.4Ghz, 16G 3200 RAM, Nvidia 1080Ti, T16000 HOTAS, TIR5, 75" DLP Monitor

Press [W] again to release parking brake. It works for SP and has to be tested for MP. Well i tried this in MP last night and it sort of worked.... I did the keys and when i unpaused the game i was stuck in one position! After hitting W again i was still stuck for about 10 seconds before the brakes let go. My friend flying on my server couldnt get it to work. Hmmmmmmm i7 8700K @ 4.4Ghz, 16G 3200 RAM, Nvidia 1080Ti, T16000 HOTAS, TIR5, 75" DLP Monitor

G00dnight Posted March 26, 2011 Posted March 26, 2011 I have the unused throttle friction lever set to brake axis this means i can just push it full forward. and wola max brakes as long as you want. Focha Posted March 27, 2011 Posted March 27, 2011 Mmm... Never happened to me. Usually the nose wheel is turned so I guess it makes some resistance to move while starting up. But I never moved forward. I only set the nose wheel steering when I am about to move. But, yes and option for that would be good, with visual chocks would be nicer. Also it would be great to see the refuelling hole when you ask to refuel.
