zamboni Posted March 27, 2011 Posted March 27, 2011 Set rocket program to CCRP, set SPI, profit. :) I was wondering when doing some of the bomb tossing last night, is there any real difference in setting a program to CCRP in the profile page, rather than selecting the bombs/rockets (with a CCIP profile) and then changing the master mode to CCRP?
quiksilver Posted March 27, 2011 Posted March 27, 2011 Outstanding! This is really good news! Especially looking forward to #3 and #8. I mean... Number 8 isn't the big deal anymore. Just good to see a pro doin it. Number 3 however is still pushing me though... There was a texture loading issue and I want to re-do with voice over. Hope to re-create it next week. I have some more time now, so I plan to create the following instruction videos: 1- Ramp Start ATC 2- CCRP Rocket Lofting 3- Aerial Refueling 4- TACAN and ILS 5- Low Altitude Bombing 6- Maverick Centroid vs. Force Correlate Tracking 7- Wingman Tasking 8- JTAC Tasking 9- Air-to-Air Engagement 10- Coordinate Input Good question dude... I was wondering when doing some of the bomb tossing last night, is there any real difference in setting a program to CCRP in the profile page, rather than selecting the bombs/rockets (with a CCIP profile) and then changing the master mode to CCRP?
Bvoiash Posted March 28, 2011 Posted March 28, 2011 Those instruction videos will be nice to have :). I was wondering when doing some of the bomb tossing last night, is there any real difference in setting a program to CCRP in the profile page, rather than selecting the bombs/rockets (with a CCIP profile) and then changing the master mode to CCRP? I think that if you don't change it to CCRP in the profile page, when you switch to CCRP master mode CCRP won't work properly, if at all. But then I could be wrong. Probably someone else can give a definite answer.

I tried, but I couldnt fire rockets in CCRP ? what do I do when I have a SPI and that I am in CCRP ? as soon as I touch the pickle, the rockets go... whatever ... care to explain. Interesting....when I asked the question about CCRP, I was talking mainly about unguided bomb delivery. I haven't found anything different between setting CCRP mode in the profile or leaving it in CCIP mode in profile and changing the master mode to CCRP. I hadn't tried CCRP mode for rockets before. I just tried it and it is like Immel says above, the rockets are manually released in CCRP mode either way I tried. In the manual p 529, it also shows that it is a manual release in CCRP mode for the rockets. I was expecting that the rocket delivery in CCRP mode would be like unguided bombs....i.e. 9 mil, but it is a manual release. Unless something is wrong with in the manual and with the patched version, I guess, even in CCRP mode, the rocket release has to be done manually while maneuvering the plane to keep the rocket pipper within the solution cue. I had set the profile to ripple off 3, and expected them not to fire until the solution cue fell over top of the pipper, but they rippled off as soon as I hit the pickle button :)
BlueRidgeDx Posted March 28, 2011 Posted March 28, 2011 MAN REL is the only valid release mode for rocket deliveries, so even in CCRP, you have a hot pickle. You should pull to the desired release angle, and pickle when the solution cue passes through the pipper. The other big difference is the presence of a Release Angle Numeric (RAN) in place of the Time To Release Numeric (TTRN). The RAN indicates the pitch attitude required to loft the rocket to the SPI range. It just so happens I tried lofting a WP mark into the target area today using the CCRP loft rocket technique, and I found that the RAN was indicating erroneously low values. In other words, it didn't work. I'm guessing that there are changes in the upcoming build that corrects that. 1 "They've got us surrounded again - those poor bastards!" - Lt. Col. Creighton Abrams

Apples Posted March 28, 2011 Posted March 28, 2011 Internal Testing? So what are we looking at the end of April now? Getting real sick of this : C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS A-10C\bin\Effects.dll # C0000005 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] 6 Monitors, 5 Video Cards, 90inch Flat Screen, Intel Bad Ass 2 @ 72.6Ghz, Atari Hotas!!!
GGTharos Posted March 28, 2011 Posted March 28, 2011 Yep, the installer has to be tested before it is sent out to the general public. Shouldn't be surprising. If the installer works fine, a release should occur in short order. We do have to make sure that the patch itself installs properly, eh? The fixes are already tested. baton_bb Posted March 28, 2011 Posted March 28, 2011 I think the 1.1.0.7 patch will be a giant step for DCS A-10C Warthog and for all virtual pilots!!!! I`m waiting very excited :) Best regards!!!!
Mustang Posted March 28, 2011 Posted March 28, 2011 Internal Testing? So what are we looking at the end of April now? What makes you think that it'll be the end of april? From what i've read into what ED are saying, the patch is pretty much complete and now they need to make sure that it installs correctly on a broad range of PC's (the testers' ones) i'd say we'll be getting something pretty soon ;)
Insanatrix Posted March 28, 2011 Posted March 28, 2011 In other words if all works they would prolly release it right after or within a day or so. Still the end of march =D

Zorg_DK Posted March 29, 2011 Posted March 29, 2011 Looking forward to the patch too, I'm getting a lot of CTD's in SP. "There are only 10 types of people in the world — those who understand binary, and those who don't." [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

GGTharos Posted March 29, 2011 Posted March 29, 2011 The datalink was a major focus for this patch. Most of it should be working now, including SPI broadcast and message sending.
