Well, I wanted a Viper, but Ill be happy with a Bug as well, especially if they add some decent vapor effects.

F-18, great!

Reminder: Fighter pilots make movies. Bomber pilots make... HISTORY! :D | Also to be remembered: FRENCH TANKS HAVE ONE GEAR FORWARD AND FIVE BACKWARD :D

lol, no, it's not.

Seriously, I don't know. I'm a tester, not an ED developer, I don't need to know until I'm supposed to test something. :P

Its ok man. "Deny Everything, Trust no-one."

F/A-18C is gonna make lot of people happy... and for f's sake it's an aircraft that can do anything (A2A/A2G/SEAD/CAS/AirRefuel/Carrier) what more people want? A toilet in the back seat?

Kuky if you want a toilet and samovar in the back seat u need to wish for a Su-34.

Yeah, 10 slammers, 2 sidewinders and one droptank is way too little. :(

It should be a sophisticated 1° of April. :megalol:

Bye

Phant

An F-15E could be 1st of April fool joke.. An F/A-18C is kinda believable and I would never consider F-16C to be April fool joke.

Let's just wait til they say what they are making, instead of assuming.

Cali, without speculation and assuming, internet forums would not exist!

Hauling all that stuff makes little difference on your 20 minute loiter time.

You'll have a little more than that. :P

But it is telling that you are so quick to defend the jet.

Well, it was just wrong, and I remembered the picture from a previous thread. In real operations you'd not be likely to carry four double rails, but then you're like... Oh noes, I'm down to 6 slammers and 2 sidewinders. Or carry two double rails and two tanks, then you get 6 slammers, 2 sidewinders and 3 droptanks.

As for specifically defending the jet... As far as fast-movers go it's the Eagle I am partial to, not something sissy-slow like the F-18C. :P

"Boeing [NYSE: BA] received the first APG-82(V)1 Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) radar test set for the U.S. Air Force F-15E Radar Modernization Program (RMP) from Raytheon in St. Louis on June 10. The radar test set, which has successfully completed Acceptance Test Procedures, will undergo further tests at Boeing's Electronic Systems Integration Lab in St. Louis before being integrated into an F-15E.

The APG-82(V)1 RMP replaces the APG-70 radar with an AESA, resulting in improved radar reliability, maintainability and performance, as well as reduced support costs. When integrated into the F-15E weapons system, the AESA radar will improve detection and tracking of enemy targets."

Sounds like a new ED contract possibility to me... anyone else?

For anyone hoping for the E/F variety of Hornet there is still quite a decent amount of "stuff" on the aircraft that is classified. Take that how you want!

Who needs a frickin F-18C DTS?

Thats kind of what I was thinking actually. Its not even as big of a leap from the A version as the A-10C was. Regardless, f-18c.com was still registered by ED for some reason or another. This isn't a definite confirmation that it will be the very next sim after warthog (although it seems likely) It just means they might want it for future use.

Whelp, looks like the new domain names are now included in the reverse whois lookup

and guess what...

looks like a-10c.com and f-18c.com ARE THE ONLY ONES THAT WERE ADDED :)

btw http://www.f-18c.com IS redirecting me back to the DCS front page.....it may be because it is in-between a DNS update or something that hasn't propagated properly.
