I checked my missions in v1.2.0

 

Good news:

- The crashes in Defense of Batumi and Black Gold of Anapa are fixed! YEEEHA!

- The Predator JTACs in Thunderstruck are working fine now! I can't beleve it! :D

 

Bad news:

- Triggered sounds are not working anymore.

- I can't figure it out why I can't rearm on a FARP in a new mission (old missions are working)

- I can't figure it out how to force a CA client to NOT control a vehicle group.

So does this mean we can continue using them the new 1.2 world, or will you be releasing a new edition?

I will release a new edition once I'm finished some tests and added some improvements.

I also want to add CA clients to some of the missions (sadly not to all of them because it is not possible to forbid the control of a group)

Convoyhunting:

- Added 1x GFC for 1x Air defense group on enemy side

We did some testings yesterday. It was great fun but it is very very hard to find intelligent enemies hiding in trees or behind buildings.

It's a different ballancing and a complete new difficulty level.

We have to do some more testing.

Keep up the great work mate. Note sure where the DCS community would be without your enthusiasm. Your maps are top notch, and greatly appreciated in Australia. Looking forward to the weekend update, but also more than happy for you to test 'till it's done'.

 

We're kind of mystified why ED doesn't have some professionally produced missions to come 'stock standard' with DCS World, for ALL modules, to at least get people started and inspired. :huh:

 

This is even more relevant now, as more and more people seem to be 'stopping by' the game to 'check it out for the first time'. Not having anything to play with out of the box seems like a really poor Dev, Business, Creative decision....that is to say.... bad decision all around for all parties.

 

In God We Trust, God Save the Queen, God Bless America, BUT THANK GOD for Dragon. :)

Have you limited the use of vehicles Dragon? How did you do that?

 

The “do not control this unit“ function is not implemented yet but there is a quick&dirty workarround.

If you dont want that a unit can be controlled, just hide it on the map. ;)

Yes thanks Dragon, I had that feature covered but it would be nice to assign units to one players control. The units could then "spawn" with the player and that would make a "game changer" if you have human controlled groups on both sides. Simply disable use works great with the hiding of groups.

Yes, in CA it is a other concept than for A-10/Ka-50.

The vehicles you can spawn in are limited.

You have to rethink for some missions. But I think it should work like I did now.

The missions are not build for CA. But I will build my next missions for a better CA useage.

Hey Dragon, I fired up the 7.3 version of your maps on our server (TheOlderGamers). I use a 4 monitor setup and have customised the view.lua file so that i can zoom out my field of view. Otherwise it looks like my nose is pressed against the HUD. In the 7.3 version of your maps it was like this was locked out or something. I was not able to zoom out reguardless of the view.lua setting. Reverting to 7.2 resolved the issue. Do you know if this is a map setting? seems to be from initial testing.

Hi Macross,

 

I see the editor created the "config" folder in the .miz file again!

Please open the .miz files using 7zip and delete the "config" folder.

We flew RedCrossMassacre last night... we vaporized the first two barricades pointed by JTAC but unfortunatelly the convoy didn't move on and Playboy didn't give us any new targets...

 

We then refuelled on Texaco and headed home...

 

There was 5 of us, no payload change and only me was talking to JTAC...

Hi Aries,

 

thank you for reporting this but unfortunately I'm busy and can not take a look.

Probably you missed to kill a vehicle on the checkpoint (reason for the convoy to not move on) but you can not find it because the JTAC is bugged (please complain to ED).

 

... or the convoy stucked on a cliff because it want to drive arround a wreck... (complain to ED too)

Thank you! The text was in German, so thought it was just continuing the paragraph above it. Was playing the Rookie Terrorists on a server last night and wanted to give it a try w/o horrendous lag.
