Sounds more hardcore than it probably is.:smartass: [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
FLANKERATOR Posted June 23, 2011 Posted June 23, 2011 LOL...just had a Red vs Blue Hawgfest. What was that? It's really reaaally faaaar away from the Fever of a FC2 MP Sortie. Situational Awareness: https://sa-sim.com/ | The Air Combat Dojo: https://discord.gg/Rz77eFj

104th_Crunch Posted June 23, 2011 Posted June 23, 2011 Hardcore flying moves a little slower. I believe you said you have tried FC2 and Falcon 4. While A-10C rules, and A2G team vs. team is awesome, H2H is not what the A-10C is designed for, and it's not the same as a modern jet fighter where you have BVR and merges with high maneuverability and speed. The other day I tried to gun a KC-135 tanker in my A-10C. No luck. It out BFM'd me lol then ran away with it's speed :D
Cali Posted June 23, 2011 Posted June 23, 2011 Hardcore flying moves a little slower. I think it's just you that moves slower :D I had a good multiplayer sortie in the 4c server today. The enemy were very good, but I ended up 4-0. 104th Blackbird saved my butt once, we were out numbered, lots of fun. i7-4820k @ 3.7, Windows 7 64-bit, 16GB 1866mhz EVGA GTX 970 2GB, 256GB SSD, 500GB WD, TM Warthog, TM Cougar MFD's, Saitek Combat Pedals, TrackIR 5, G15 keyboard, 55" 4K LED
Frostie Posted June 23, 2011 Posted June 23, 2011 [OT] People may call me a pain in the ass, but my crusade continues. You are aware that a quantum leap is actually a miniscule state change of a quantum, that is, a small particle? It is like saying that duke nukem spent a plank time in dev hell, where the plank time is the smallest unit of time theoretically measurable. The peril of being called anal has nothing on the fits i get everytime i read quantum leap being used as denotation of what is supposed to be a huge step. [/OT] When an average amount of average people communicate socially i'd say 99 times out of 100 it doesn't involve science. Therefore when someone mentions quantum leap in a sentence meaning a large leap its more often than not in reference to the tv programme and time travel is the focus of comparison, hence the large leap. The great thing about the English language, and any other no doubt, is the multitude of meanings to one word. When someone says to you 'he jumped the shark' do you actually believe they jumped said shark? :D Embrace it Sobek, don't hate. ;):P "[51☭] FROSTIE" #55 'Red 5'. Cali Posted June 23, 2011 Posted June 23, 2011 LOL...just had a Red vs Blue Hawgfest. Yawn......I only saw about half of it cause youtube is slow at work. It doesn't really matter, just as long as you like what your doing. I would get bored of that real fast. I like flying and fighting against real people. Not doing coops all the time or fighting against the same type of aircraft (and not even a fighter at that). But that's hardcore fighting a bomber/striker aganist each other. I guess that's a quantum leap from FC2 huh. i7-4820k @ 3.7, Windows 7 64-bit, 16GB 1866mhz EVGA GTX 970 2GB, 256GB SSD, 500GB WD, TM Warthog, TM Cougar MFD's, Saitek Combat Pedals, TrackIR 5, G15 keyboard, 55" 4K LED
sobek Posted June 23, 2011 Posted June 23, 2011 If we are going to be fussy about it, then you needn't use the (incorrect) colloquialism "anal" (shortened from "anal retentive" in slightly discredited Freudian psychoanalysis), you can use the word "particular" instead. Touché. Good, fast, cheap. Choose any two. Come let's eat grandpa! Use punctuation, save lives!
sobek Posted June 23, 2011 Posted June 23, 2011 (edited) Embrace it Sobek, don't hate. I don't care about the dual meaning in itself, but the way this came into being is that people who had no clue (journalists) taught other people BS and now it's stuck. That's the way it goes, over and over. Edited June 23, 2011 by sobek Good, fast, cheap. Choose any two. Come let's eat grandpa! Use punctuation, save lives!
asparagin Posted June 23, 2011 Posted June 23, 2011 You are aware that a quantum leap is actually a miniscule state change of a quantum, that is, a small particle? Still, if you know something is exactly one quantum leap away, it means you know exactly the momentum. According to the uncertainty principle knowing exactly the momentum, means you have absolute no info about the position. So the gap could be infinite! According to the uncertainty principle knowing exactly the momentum, means you have absolute no info about the position. So the gap could be infinite! I am referring to a change in energy state . There is a separate uncertainty principle for time and energy. However, i'm not really sure i understand what you are talking about. What is that gap? And what do you mean by one quantum leap away? asparagin Posted June 23, 2011 Posted June 23, 2011 Speed more or less, but the two physical properties that "share uncertainty" are originally momentum and position (..and others). In the last post I wrote impulse instead of momentum out of habit.
