Yep, they are. I just draged my radio menu. I do have menu.res edited to accept mouse though.

\acceptmouse{1}

Found here

C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS A-10C\FUI\Resources\Radio

So open Radio.res with notepad++ and change \acceptmouse{0}to \acceptmouse{1}. Think it was line 5

By moving the radio menu are you able to read the all the text now (such as the load-outs being truncated)?

A message to the producers at ED:

ED, if it helps you to keep putting out these quality simulators, charge more. We'll pay it. GLADLY. Seriously, A-10 was cheaper than my SFX card. I would have gladly given my money to you rather than creative....

Well ... I guess you can give it if you have it.

But I'm realy not sure that the financial state of others is good as yours ... right?

Yeah I wouldn't be quoting for everyone, because I wouldn't pay over $60 for any sim. It took a lot of talking myself into paying what I did for A-10. I mean I love it and all but not that much.

Now where's that ban button.....

hehe just kidding

lol you know what I'm saying.

Meanwhile, is there any way we can stretch out the menu to see the full loadouts or customize it? Maybe a list of loadouts? It seems I remember someone posting a list of it somewhere but I can't find it now.

Probably something you could have posted directly to me, but obviously never will there be a statement made in the world that everyone agrees with. But, think about it, MW2 was sixty dollars when it came out I think, it gave you about ten hours of single player time and unlimited online time, well for a price on xbox....

It took me 3 days to read the manual, 2 days of training flights, and the last month to get comfortable flying this thing, and Im not there yet. Oh yeah and multiplayer is free of course.

Now Ive been playing sims since janes longbow, janes F-18, the original falcon 4, and old school microsoft flight simulator. Maybe you havent and you dont know, but technology has come along quite nicely since then. And if youve ever done any scripting you know how difficult the programming for this stuff is. (Try building a full mission in ME with multiple flights and ground units all doing stuff, then multiply the time it took you to make it bug free by a thousand). Good luck.

With that being said me and my best friend since I was about 11, were talking about 6 months ago. We agreed that there was no REAL simulators out there that were any good and we agreed the simulator market in the US is dead thanks to COD and FSX. Then I found black shark. Well... You can imagine our happiness...

So yeah, there are people who would pay a fair price for what they are doing here at ED. Apparently your not one. Unfortunate but expected. I mean most of us paid more for our trackir, which is just about required to play this game.

Hopefully their marketing model is built to push their first products out to a large audience creating a reputation, and as they grow and get better they may charge more. With a widespread reputation and well known history they may better get away with charging more, and hopefully they can stay in business. One can only hope. The US industry is dead, they need to stay in business. and yes I know about microsoft flight, but it no combat simulator.

Oh yeah I think F4 was like sixty when it came out. That was what 1990?

so about that drag and drop comms menu!

(back on topic??anyone??)

Maybe you can change your Message to ED from: "We'll pay it" into "I´ll pay it"?

Or maybe I just dont speak for you, your entitled to your opinion, im entitled to mine, drop it thank you much. Dont attempt to nerf my sig and i wont attempt to nerf yours which obviously entails dangerous, irresponsible flying. BTW thats how I drive my truck.

Edit* and a major rule in the forums is to keep posts on topic, please stop highjacking the thread, Im going to stop posting in it. Good luck.

I won't dare to speak for anybody else, but imho $60 for this sim is el cheapo! Like Wildfire said, the hours upon hours of enjoyment far exceeds what you would get in many other similarly priced games. Add to that the continued support and updates, as well as the fact that the study sim is a very niche market, so it's not like they are raking in EA money.

I enjoy this game so much that I shelled out 8x what I paid for it to get the Hotas Warthog, even though work & life severely limits my play time. When I'm not playing, I'm thinking about playing, or I am browsing the forums for the latest info.

I would seriously pay for this game at least once or twice more if it meant that there were a full-fledged dynamic campaign with a persistant battlefield(like Falcon4). IMO, that's the one big thing that is missing from this sim. Single missions, strung together campaign missions, and multiplayer are all well and good, but I definitely crave for something a bit more grandiose. That is my dream for A-10C.

In the meantime, it would be nice to see complete loadouts. :D

All I gotta say is that I just spent close to $50 bucks at a movie theater last night for me and my gf (tickets, drinks and all that jazz). Two hours later, I'm wondering where it all went hahaha. This sim is definitely worth the price tag and more, since I'm probably at 50 flight hours already and I'm just getting started. The question is whether people want to pay for something's true value.

You know, I was just recalling the days back in the mid 90's when I first started playing the online WW2 combat sim, Warbirds. That was using good old fashion dial-up and telneting to the server. Then it was $2.99/hr to play. Many of us would easily rack up monthly charges of at least $150 or more. I knew people who were easily up around three bills or more. That's insane! And I was just a poor shlub working my way through college at the time. :D
