crazyeddie Posted December 16, 2011 Posted December 16, 2011 Brilliant, works in DCS A0C as well but the aircraft shadows are showing up under the ship on the sea surface and the aircraft will not park up after they disengage from the hook, I believe that is a known issue in A10C. She is gorgeous Tom.

Tom if you don't want to make 2/3 version then my suggestion is: You should add Argument for clean/full flightdeck. 4xmpl: Choose an Argument No. for ArgVisibilityNodes, (from Arg 31 to Arg 56) and add value 0.0 for clean deck, value 0.05 for only 1 aircraft on deck, value 0.1 for two aircrafts and so on...value 0.7 for all aircrafts and some crew...and so on...and value 1.0 for fully loaded flightdeck with aircrafts and crew. Or different arguments for crew and for aircrafts. Please choose other arguments for Building Tractor/Crane Tractor movements. I hope you will make/add rotating radars too (with Arg1, Arg2, Arg3), four moving elevators and catapult shuttles too. If yor are really fanatic you can make moving anchors also. :D Making connectors onto shuttles subserve to add nice/real steam (smoke) effect near the moving shuttle. Best solution is: 2 "fixed to deck" connectors @ front and back end of the track, and the moving shuttle-connector for each catapult/track. Connectors are keys ! Maybe these connectors will solve the "sliding air/rotorcraft on deck" bug too while the ship is riding on waves. BTW: Catapult Track 1 has too much angle. It must be paralel with the edge of the ship deck. (front-right side/edge) Therefore Jet Blast Deflector 1 is on wrong place too. Must be closer to JBD2. If... ...you know... ...just drop a PM to me. vanir Posted December 20, 2011 Posted December 20, 2011 Superb work Tom, tremendous attention to detail, I'm stunned by the quality when at the same time you are always making sure your models are playable with minimum FPS hit. This one looks almost photo-realistic in the DCS engine. It always impresses me how many man-hours these models take to finalise and that you are still willing, and happy to do them. I am also very thankful that a version will go into FC2 as I only have a slow single core computer and don't have DCS for that reason. FC2 plays very well though, and will look fantastic with this model. Thankyou for the hard work Tom. It is very kind of you.
crazyeddie Posted December 20, 2011 Posted December 20, 2011 (edited) Tom An idle thought, if you do create more than 1 version of this wonderful carrier how easy would it be to change the deck paint file name so that it is different for each version. File: CVN-77_DECK.bmp That way we could create different versions of the CVN to put in the game, by simply replacing the subs or one of the other ships with the different carrier models. It does work, I have done it, (although the carriers do not do everything it should properly) at least we could have some different eye candy in game at long last. I am working on another version of your beautiful deck, to include texture for the hole where the blast plates lifts up and a slight change to the deck centre line and warning lines. So well I sent the 3Ds datas to Grandsurf. He will be able to set real lights and upgrade some textures. It couls be possible that he can set some new objects on the carrier and do some corrections. However- CrazyEddi: I like that "old" style on the flight deck. It looks nice! Do you have Photoshop? If it will be helpfull I can upload the Templates for the carrier textures. Always remember. I don't have a clue what I'm doing
