Moving FC2 planes to the DCS environment and call it FC3 it´s OK, awesome, but thats all.

 

I think put in the same sim FC2 planes and DCS is not the way, there are different prodcuts, the level of simulation from one is far far away from other.

 

I read it from ED people "each sim have different market" so they are giving me the reason.

 

But, the key is, that is more easy to sell FC2 planes in DCS with DCS planes.

My best guess is they are hoping for a FSX type of environment where you have different levels of simulations that can all be "plugged into" the same game together. It was sort of cool to have Ka-50s with FC2, simply for the novelty of "omg humans NOT in a Ka-50" however the Ka-50 thrown into the fire of FC is simply not that fun unless you have a squad of fighters protecting you. Hopefully this time around we will see abit more variety in the servers offering single 'brands' along with those that have a mix of everything.

Either way, if DCS did produce a Russian/US jet...wouldn't bother me one bit..

 

I would still continue here..and not whine about not getting the P-51D Mustang...I would just get the A2A Accu-Simm P-51D Mustang...and not hold a grudge against DCS for not making the P-51D Mustang..I consider it a bonus that they decide to develop it..

 

Besides the Russian/US jet is on its way..:music_whistling:

Generally, I would agree with you, if not for this DCS core system change where I hope the FC planes would integrate into. I don't won't to buy a new FC edition each year mainly for the Mission Editor and slight graphics upgrade.

OK, but some other people are not that interested in flying the F-16 and would prefer to fly the Russian planes. The people who play the MP in squads are not the only ED customers.

 

What if the DCS: Jet turns out to be the F-16 and you find out that you prefer flying it in BMS because of the campaign and theaters? Would you still buy it?

The poll is useless in that regard since there are no multiple choices - it doesn't say that those who would pay for DCS: Next, won't pay for FC3.

 

Regarding your disappointment, maybe you expected too much in too small a time-frame for a small team the ED has.

IF we get DCS fighter AND DCS P-51 it would be a Bonus... and if you think DCS Fighter Jet is comming... don't hold your breath for it... you will suffocate a million times by the times it comes out... All the time spent working on the P-51 could have been put into some patches, the next DCS model and FC3. That would have been better time spent then working on the P-51, that's just what I think. And it's not a bonus, read Kuky's post above this #115....that's what a bonus is.

Not everyone is eagerly awaiting DCS: Fast- Jet. I'm personally waiting for DCS: Toad, or anything Russian for that matter, whilst others are waiting for the Mustang. You can also be certain that when DCS: Jet is announced that there are gonna be moaners then too.......Why bother attempting to please everyone when you know it's doomed at the outset? No, best is to carry on doing what one does best, and judging by the track record to date, ED/TFC are nicely on track.

We are given an extra airplane as a part of the development process towards the next dcs fighter. That you don't wish to understand that doesn't mean it's less true. And it doesn't mean that it's not a bonus airplane something that was partly developed for free.
