I would love a 3d 25T pit...

or a extended current pit cos it's a little bit restrictive.

The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance.

Pretty OT:

For those who have had the misfortune to miss Ogrex's work ---- awesome

Nate

Wow, I did miss it and it is awesome!

I don't know much about the Frogfoot. How does the SU-25T compare to the A-10C in terms of capability? Is there something significant it brings that is new like SEAD?

It brings sead - which is quite like sead, Vihkr, & Kh-25ML (~10Km range), Gun pods with auto elevation adjustment to aim point (correct for pitch) R-73... etc..

Cheers.

Su-25T has to become "clickable". Then I wouldn't mind paying for it. And only then our A-A kills will start multiplying...

You did notice that you are not asked to pay for it, right? ;)

DCS World, and the Su-25T with it, are available for free. :)

http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=87426

DCS World is a single, unified core for all DCS products to operate within. Rather than separate installations for each DCS products, the single DCS world interface allows the user to access all of their DCS products in a common user interface. DCS world also includes a DCS News service and will allow users to purchase DCS titles through the interface at a later point.

DCS World will be updated as DCS evolves with changes to the rendering system, AI units, AI logics, effects, etc. All aspect of the simulation, outside the flyable aircraft, add-on maps, and other paid-for content.

The current DCS World is still in beta and will evolve over time with new features.

The initial DCS World comes with a free flyable aircraft, the Su-25T (exported from Flaming Cliffs 2).

I'm pretty sure it's 3D but just not clickable. Who cares! It's a bonus airframe to play online with (soooon!)

You are right ,but su25t in DCS world always remind us of FC3. Will FC3 have 3D cockpit?

Posted

Wichid - people (including me it seems, ouch) seem to have made "3D" into a colloquialism for a clickable, 6DOF-enabled cockpit.

Krebs20, make one and then ask ED if you can sell it. Then it can be you getting all that money. :)

I'm sure someone will do it at some point, whether as a mod or payware addon.

jp203000, this thread isn't about FC3. Feature lists for that product will be announced at a later point.

i tried for a few weeks very hard to work 3dmax. if i could get anywhere. i would EtherealN. I'm missing that little bit of training. I did try.

6DOF would be very useful but a clickable cockpit with simplified avionics shouldn't be a show stopper. How many of the dials and buttons would actually work?

Wichid, to be honest, none of them, pretty much. A "clickable" cockpit would be fairly pointless, in my opinion.

A prettier, more detailed, true 6DOF cockpit however would be awesome, on that I agree.

And the most important part - dynamic cockpit shadows!

Tried it out, had to remake my X52 profile for it. I still love the aircraft, but its just difficult to go from the A-10C or Ka-50 to the old school lockon Su-25t. Its still a good introductory aircraft, but damn, I miss pushing buttons and the 3d pit.

The right man in the wrong place makes all the difference in the world.

Are you kidding? I'm more excited about the "DCS World" and the Toad being included than I am about the P-51.

Thanks god you saved beloved Froggy :D This is great news.

You can do real SEAD using anti radar missiles for low range - 25 km and medium range 60 km. You have also possibility to use laser Kh-25ML which can be fired from about 20 km and 16 Vikhrs up to 10 km.

Reminder: Fighter pilots make movies. Bomber pilots make... HISTORY! :D | Also to be remembered: FRENCH TANKS HAVE ONE GEAR FORWARD AND FIVE BACKWARD :D

I couldn't care less about the P-51 or the 25T, glad to here about DCS world. I hope this speeds up the release process for each module now.
