With a full ammo payload at wings ?

Yes, what's the difference???? If I don't remember bad the payload was a bunch of C-5 rockets or Mazorcas in cubano jejejejeje.

I don't know recall well, but It has the C-5 rocket pods and 7 of us without counting the tail gunner it was for a behind enemy line tactical insertion. We were in training maneuver for helitransported special troops. The service!!!!, sht I miss thous years when I don't have to do any thesis of engineer to graduate. Back to chapter 4. hoping to finish soon.

The difference being that a fully fueled Mi-24 with a full complement of weapons on the wings cannot take off with 4 people inside the cargo compartment.

Exact!

This is the main argument of Brazilian Air Force critics for Hinds.

For the mission with they bought the Hinds.

Blackhawks or EC725 will be much more effective.

This video shows pretty nicely what a black hawk can do. Even a loop the loop at one point. (kind of)

I would love to see a DCS *H-60. Could even have it where if you land in a target zone, the ai troops will board, and you fly them to somewhere on the map. Would also be good to move tanks, and other vehicles, not to mention the CSAR along side the Warthog.... plus this "could be" done single pilot with maybe an option to have someone ride along in the left seat if they get shot down, or for training purposes.

digital COMBAT simulator.

there really isn't much you can do in a transport. and you can't really influence the battle in any way unless infantry actually plays a big role in this game, and they just don't. it would be a lot of effort for little gain.

modeling something with built in weapons systems is more worthwhile.

I'm sorry, but I don't understand why people always have to put in their negative thoughts towards a wish list. It's a wish, that's all.

That being said, there is plenty that can be done with a transport like the MH-60, carrying weapons or not. Take a look at all the videos on YouTube for the 60s, and what they can do. Any of these helos can do quite a lot, and I agree with the common thinking that maybe instead of trying to get something like the AH-64 (although that would be bitchin') might not be doable with the 2 seat setup. The other aircraft such as *-60, AH-6, AH-1Y and such can be done with a single seat, and have other capabilites.

And as for the "Digital COMBAT Simulator" part, these are all combat ready aircraft in the US Military inventory.

Why do you guys keep asking for aircraft? They will let us know what they have planned next...in due time.

Because aircraft represent the one piece of warfare equipment that can do the most overall, cause the most devastation, perform the widest variety of missions, with the smallest number of people (1).

I mean, what else would there be?

DCS: Abrams would be sweet since I can't think of any recent super-realistic tank sims, but it would still have to streamline some of it since it takes four people to make the tank work. The guy up front does little more than steer the thing around, so multiplayer aside, would you be able to do fire-and-maneuver tactics, controlling the gun and steering at the same time? Not realistic in the slightest, but it would have to do.

DCS: Patriot battery?

If it came down to it, I imagine ED would pursue a lot of things no matter how ridiculous they seem to us (DCS: M198 Howitzer?) since it wouldn't be 'for' the civilian market, but something like would probably not move very many copies so whether we'd see it or not... don't know.

I think hes is asking why we keep asking for aircraft in general. ED will make what they make with little input from us. From what i understand they chose what to make from what their military contracts dictate.

I dunno about you all, but i like to let my preferences be known just because i can.

Also I'd love to get a good modern Huey simulator that isn't ARMA.

Because arguing is fun. Pointless yes but still fun.

Always remember. I don't have a clue what I'm doing

Just found this thread, after putting my thoughts on the next DCS aircraft wish list thread. Very happy to see I'm not the only one who wishes for utility helicopters. Yes it's not attack, and I do agree that people see things with missiles and big guns etc more exciting, But if we want a real mp battlefield experience then at some stage you will need utility helis. Also just read chickenhawk or immediate response and you will find utility can be exciting too. Don't know bout others, but I fly sims for my love of aircraft. So long as they come with the DCS magic, I don't care if they are rotary, fixed wing, attack or utility. If they come with a great flight model, and I can click all my switches then I'm a happy man.

Just because they don't have loads of weapons on board, dosnt mean they are boring, They jus use different skills thats all.

Im an old grunt that actually flew (as an Infantry passenger) in RAAF UH1H Huey's many times , ive rappellled out of them and was even stuck on one that couldnt steer for about 10 minutes while the crewy bashed the crap out of the hydrolics under the floor. The RAAF even had a gunship variant called the Bushranger, that was fiited out with miniguns and rockets, and some even fired a 40mm gun. Our operations where always air mobile and we lived on them. There was nothing better than the sound of the distinctive thwap thwap of the Huey, which gave them the nick name "Angry Palm Tree". A good book to read about the brilliance of this great chopper is 'ChickenHawk' , written Robert Mason's of his experiences as a UH-1 Iroquois helicopter pilot during the Vietnam War.

Another little section of history to look at also is the secret War in Laos, an organisation called 'Air America' (CIA backed operation) , a little know group of blokes called 'The Ravens" who were FAC's - forward Air controllers - they called in all sorts of Air and arty support, braver bunch of blokes youd never meet. Also a book about this called 'The Ravens' by Christopher Robbins. Of note that i love reading is that a little aircraft called the A-1 Skyraider which was flown by the "Sky Commandos ' out of Nakhon Phanom air base in Thailand. This little plane was devastating.

I would love to fly a transport heli, sling loads, troop transport, SAR, ASW, and all of that fun stuff.

If you aim for the sky, you will never hit the ground.
