DCS: F/A-18E Super Hornet

With all these 3rd party planes announced, covering pretty much all "very popular U.S. fixed wing aircraft", I was thinking what would make sense for ED to make: a "very popular Russian fixed wing aircraft" :D Su-27

I'm sure CoreTex Designs is a competent group to produce aircrafts up to ED’s standard. How could they be completely unknown and get a license? In my mind they are well known to ED’s people and have shown their quality work before under some other name. When they are ready I’m pretty sure they will introduce them self on this forum and all will be clear to us all.

I'd be really interested to see touch screens in the cockpit. The touch screen users will jump at the chance at exporting that to a helios screen.

It would be very helpful if CoreTex Designs introduced themselves and shared a little insight inio their company,And tell us the level of detail they plan to bring to The F/A-18E.

 

I don't believe that I'm alone in thinking The Rhino is a very important aircraft to bring to the DCS World and should be given The DCS AFM along with the excellent detail that is now present in The DCS A-10C and Black Shark.

Just my opinion.

What difference does it make since you still aren't going to fly it anytime soon. All they have is a picture of a store bought model. It should take them two years to make that into something you can fly in DCS.

Core Tex Designs does indeed have a license agreement. However, they are very early in their development and have decided to jump into the very deep end. I wish them the very best and also will be curious to see how they resolve some of the technology challenges posed by this aircraft.

 

..Because you know first hand what those challenges are as you and the rest of the team were contemplating making the Super Hornet your next DCS: Fighter, but instead decided to go with the F/A-18C? :smilewink:

I really don't think these devs are making a DCS quality F/A-18E, but then again, I would love to be proven wrong.

Of course that's what we do at the moment.

The export doesn't need helios..but I guess we just have to fill it up with invisible push buttons then.

 

And don't give up on the DCS(ED) F18 yet

For the moment im pretty sceptical about the Super Hornet, however I have some hope left that ED still has a Hornet in the works. Coretex should really introduce themselves soon to help clear this up.
