I have idea for new and interseting aircraft - simply to do, not many complicated systems, just a model, plus management tv, weapons ect.

Dont waste of time for Cessna 172, BD5, A-10A if we have C ect. Please do a drone - UAV or different drone! The model in DCS style, good for multiplayer, Combinad Arms, single player, campaign, ect.

Someone thinks too same ;) ?

No VC, but it can be modelled interior of vehicle 6DOF, monitors ect. Like in Beast Steel Pro.

Who from 3d th part Dev will be the first? ; )

Good idea. No need for a cockpit, armament is pretty much already In-SIM (Hellfires or the like), will complement CA well.

That said, I would personally want an A.I. Spooky with player-controlled Weapons-stations. That would be much better

Fighter pilots make movies, Attack pilots make history, Helicopter pilots make heros.

I'd be interested if a third party did do this, to see how they laid out the UI.

Having said that, at the current level of development, there isn't much of a use for something like this, the MQ-9's primary role is counter-insurgency, covering troops on the ground. The DCS doesn't really cater to that level of simulation on the ground. For now at least.

That would really be fun.

You can communicate the position of enemy forces, use a laser designator for the Pilots to do LGB attacks, and fire some of your own hellfires for targets of high value.

Plus having high power thermal cameras and high magnification for picking out threats at a distance.

I like it!!

Nice idea YoYo and really simple (relatively to the other projects) to realize !

I am an ROV pilot witch is like UAV but for underwater operations, and I imagine it would be pretty easy to draw a cockpit for a UAV, you put 4 monitors a flight stick a throttle and that's it !

SIMPLE. :)

Yeah, I think at least for an AFAC type thing, it would be a much welcome sight. Either that or a Super Tucano. Though the MQ-9 can stay aloft a lot longer than the soupy toucan can.

If you aim for the sky, you will never hit the ground.

I was talking to my friend just the other day about this very thing. As an "operator" for over 13 years, I would love to see this as an option for Combined Arms simply for the AFAC role. I've worked with JTACs, A-10s, and F-16s to accomplish a lot of what I find in DCS: A-10C; I think it's perfectly relevant to this simulation.

Some of screenies from FSX and drones. Something like this for DCS?

I think this'd be pretty cool for Combined Arms, and drones do seem to be The Future, after all.

Remote control does take a little bit of the romance out of things, and since it's a digital environment we have the luxury of putting that ahead of safety, but I suppose there is kind of a futuristic zippiness to using drones that's appealing - Like in a movie or something you'd cut away quickly to one doing recon, to build tension before the confrontation in the third act.

I played A-10 online last night for the first time ever, and we (or at least I) really could have used one of these to pick out targets in a town, since we kept talking past each other over what were salient landmarks, and it was too mountainous and far away to get a ground unit in there for one of us to do JTAC. I blithely dropped a CBU-97 on an already-devastated parking lot because all we could do was guess at what part of the crowded valley the other person was describing.
