I do hope it's a bug and not a removed feature. I acknowledge I didn't look too much in the CALC function yet, but what I love with the Shark is that still after 300+ Flight hours, I can still discover new system functions.

Smil, did you trace the functions removed since BS1?

 

With 1.2.4 you are again going trough the ac carrier elevator. I thought it was solved in 1.2.3?

 

 

P.S: Now I'll have a look at this CALC function...

another sad day for BS.

Imho, i don't think ED touches ABRIS anymore (which dosen't add bug)... so if we lost something in it, we may have an explanation one day...

 

Carrier Elevator is still a nasty hole area. Never heard ED talked about it.

I'm hoping Belsimtek will keep their products in better shape than ED.

Only a couple of bugs corrected in 1.2.4 and none of them concerning the systems. :(

- Mike, i can't reproduce your graphic glitch, so did you. IMO it's something wrong from your install (but we never know..)

 

-UPK does not crash my game in SP. If i can gather more feedback about it...

 

- I intend to remove the Trim oversteer, because it's more likely a "fight against auto-pilot inputs" problem

 

-Wingman AI is more smart than ever, enjoy !!

 

- JG... Yes, Nimitz's elevators are non-consistent even in 1.2.4.

About the calc function, it's more likely a bug, but i would like a confirmation from ED too.

 

I've checked with previous versions of BS, and here's my results :

 

Blackshark 2 1.1.1.1 :

 

If you look closer to the ABRIS map, you can see the airport code :

Once typed in calc, calculation are done :

gelendzhic true code in calc is GLDZ, not URKG.

 

 

BlackShark 2 1.2.1 (assumed it came with DCS World) :

 

On the ABRIS map, all airports codes are removed.

Anyway, i'm so glad so see a few red lines in my OP (and i consier them minor). BS is really enjoyable atm.

Ahaa, that was the part of ship take-off that was corrected with 1.2.4. Still the choppers are falling off the boat before one could manage to start it though...

I was excited to see that something was done here. One should probably emphasize no fix has been promised.

 

So... at the moment this part of the new update has left me wondering what part of "Helicopter takeoff from ships" has been corrected?

 

Still I see choppers (KA-50 & UH-1H) falling off shipdecks (Normandy, Admiral Kruznetsov) or sliding in the direction the ship travels.

Unlucky KA-50 moving slowly to the edge of the Admiral Kruznetsov (forward speed 20km/h, wind 8m/s) without any userintervention and parking brake engaged (as default)

Here it is the Huey that has left its starting position and as a result broken the main rotor on the Normandy (forward speed 20km/h, wind 8m/s)

"Trim over steer" is fixed by using curves and lowering Y saturation in your X and Y control axis. You can easily see this when you test a higher curve (about 20). It is much easier to fly smoothly after doing so (and you are correct about fighting the AP).

 

Flying smoothly is pretty important to me as there is little else to do in public server MP BS. :)

 

Bad CrC: I am coming off a new install of DCS after a new SDD HD installation. I plan to setup a copy of BS2 to see what still works with it after I get DCSW all setup and make a restore copy.

 

CALC routine worked in 1.2.3. (probably did nothing, but you could see the little green plus signs as it ran). I used it all the last week before 1.2.4 came along.

Weird, because CALC is not functionning in any of my installs (1.2.1 thru 1.2.4)

only working in BS2 1.1

 

About the drifting problem, it's the first of my list. ;)

you still can take-off from a standing still boat.

not having over trim is pretty important for not crashing in fights as well

 

can you show me your curve settings i put mine X and Y on 35 but its still there (a bit) tried 50 but it was a bit too much, and the input skipping was incredible at the further points in the curve

Apparently I'm typing blind - I was just annoyed to see that the 1.2.4 correction was not a fix for the bug as old as the repair-bugs and so on... ;-)

Hi all :)

 

I've played a bit around, and as far as i know, i've read :

 

- SA-TLF switch is working again (confirmed)

- Max Altitude changed (invalidated)

- Max IAS alarm sound off (invalidated)

- CALC Still not working (confirmed (manual testing))

 

Counting on you for NDB/Beacons stuff.

If not, wait for 1.1, it will have some correction and new stuff, as long as a nice video.

I had IAS alarm sound yesterday when I flew the KA-50 (too fast). When is the sound off, when it is supposed to be on - or am I misunderstanding you?

Please fix the KA-50 bugs :-)

It does nothing. If it works now it is a fluke as I doubt any energy was expended on fixes for BS. For the latest update all we got was multi monitor trouble for many Helios users.

Haha BaD CrC, yes the spanish patch note made me laugh too.

But we can't say no-one cares BS anymore. :D this patch has a Black Shark Line ! Hurray !

 

for my codex, just take a look at my signature ;)

Actually, SA10 reload time is wrong (3600s, not never), and MRLS show temporary number that i did not removed.

V1.1 will include the scoring system. I'm largely Off Topic, so further discussion can't be continued here.

The problem reported by Mike Busutil with those weird numbers appearing to the right of the flares program, i've had also, but only after i've rearmed my KA-50 from an aircraft carrier! So only if rearming the KAMOV from an aircraft carrier will get you that thing, otherwise the flares work fine even if that appears.

Mistakes, obviously, show us what needs improving. Without mistakes, how would we know what we had to work on!

The problem of Helios getting covered up by DCS seems to be isolated to use of the main menus. Using the MP shortcut, there is no issue of it happening for me and it is repeatable.
