dburne Posted November 10, 2012 Posted November 10, 2012 Many thanks, looks very nice - I am still very new to A-10C and still just trying to get through some of the training, so I have saved this for reference for when I do get to the point I feel I can start the campaign. soupyc Posted November 13, 2012 Posted November 13, 2012 Looks good! Question: In the above briefing, we have *10 BMP-2 units. These could be unit counts gathered by previous scenario JTAC units (remember, the campaign is progressive..), or they could be the numbers of units expected to reinforce previously destroyed enemy units. Is that true? I was under the impression that the missions were pre-generated and randomly chosen between 3 choices per mission. I can load individual .MIZ files for them... Just curious! Thanks for your work! I like it! I like it! Just a sec. Missions ARE randomly generated, but once saved, everything is in check. The campaign is DYNAMIC. meaning that if you fail an objective, the Russian FEBA comes closer to Batumi. And if you fulfill an objective, you push US FEBA towards Russian border. There ARE 3 choices; <50% = loss, >50% = minor victory, 100% = major victory. Have fun! AWAITING ED NEW DAMAGE MODEL IMPLEMENTATION FOR WW2 BIRDS Fat T is above, thin T is below. PhoenixBvo Posted November 13, 2012 Posted November 13, 2012 Great work Bill! And a good read. I learned a lot and recognized many things from my experience with the campaign. It's valuable to read some one else's point of view. One constructive remark so far referring to the second figure on page 42 showing the TC-1 map: You describe reading elevations from this map on the following page. Although the terrain height is color coded on that map, so is vegetation (meaning forest). Adjacent elevations of use to the northeast and south by southwest. Note terrain color (lighter green means higher) The terrain to the south by southwest is actually flat and low, but covered by forest. A more reliable way of judging elevation is to use the brown contour lines. Also, I always write a mission data card during preparation for reference during flight. This helps me covering all the primary points as well as getting a good overview. I've attached a template by Druid which I use for campaigns as well as online.MISSION DATA CARD.pdfMISSION DATA CARD example.pdf [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] CPU i7 4970k @ 4.7 GHz RAM 16GB G.Skill TridentX 1600 ATX ASUS Z97-PRO DSU Samsung 850 PRO 256GB SSD for Win10, Plextor M6e 128GB SSD for DCS exclusively, RAID-1 HDDs GFX Aorus GTX 1080 Ti 11GB Xtreme Edition, ASUS ROG Swift PG279Q, 27" with G-Sync, Oculus Rift CV1 HID TM HOTAS Warthog + 10 cm extension, MFG Crosswind pedals, TrackIR 5, Obutto oZone My TM Warthog Profile + Chart, F-15C EM Diagram Generator
