RobertNL72 Posted November 20, 2012 Posted November 20, 2012 Hello there, I've been trying to download or purchase the software: Flaming Cliffs 3 with using my PayPal account. Two weeks ago I used this method for to purchase the upgrade for Black Shark 2. Unfortunately, I can not use this way for doing my payment with my PayPal account. Because of the fact that I dont have a credit card, I only can choose for PayPal. Can someone explain me why or how I can proceed to pay the software Flaming Cliffs 3?? Many thanks for now. Dear regards, Robert

joey45 Posted November 23, 2012 Posted November 23, 2012 Get a pre-paid one.... The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance. Brinkyeti Posted November 23, 2012 Posted November 23, 2012 Dont like it either :( Apperantly a friend of mine has VISA so I'm probably going to get FC3 but still I dont really get the point of ED: Releasing A10C + BS1 on Steam, then bringing A10C on Origin but not the others and now removing paypal as a purchase option, srsly ED stahp :P @drillin: that might be an issue with your cookies, try deleting all cookies which are related to digitalcombatsimulator.com, at least that allways works for me :) PS: sry for my english, it's not my first language :)
MTFDarkEagle Posted November 23, 2012 Posted November 23, 2012 Hu!? Why no paypal any more?!??! That was the only way to pay on this site except for a very very large detour! Lukas - "TIN TIN" - 9th Shrek Air Strike Squadron TIN TIN's Cockpit thread
Subliminal-SS Posted November 23, 2012 Posted November 23, 2012 yeah and apparently the site wont even let me log into it, DCS really knocked it out of the park today Chrome gives me mad issues with the site, I had to go incognito or clear all history caches etc
drillin Posted November 23, 2012 Posted November 23, 2012 so........theres enough interest to move the threads around but still no explanation? [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] vcaw1.com
Derk Posted November 23, 2012 Posted November 23, 2012 Yikes! credit card is not an option here, if ED or a third party will ever accept my money, it'll have to go through paypal or an internet store that does support it. Please explain why this decsicion was taken and how you envision to re-open the market to your pay(ing)-pal(s). [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
EtherealN Posted November 23, 2012 Posted November 23, 2012 (edited) Please explain why this decsicion was taken and how you envision to re-open the market to your pay(ing)-pal(s). You seem to be assuming that there was a decision of the style "we don't like money" taken. This would be a mistake. I don't know what happened and when/if it will be resolved, but please do not jump to conclusions. As an aside, for my own curiosity - when it's said that "credit card" is not an option, you do realize that a credit card is not required? Both Mastercard and VISA can function perfectly without being credit cards. The only difference is whether they are hooked to a credit account or a bank account. Obviously, in the latter, there is no requirement for any credit rating etcetera, and no debt exposure. (Though I've been made to understand that some countries simply don't have this, much to my amazement.) Derk Posted November 24, 2012 Posted November 24, 2012 I'm sorry if it came accros like that. What i meant to ask was why paypal was removed. Furthermore i was wondering if other means of payment were being considered as a result of this. I simply never realised that Mastercard and Visa could be used with regular bank accounts. I am going to look into this, thank you for pointing that out. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

Canada is one place that doesnt have this option, and boy it sucks, after living in the US for sometime and coming back and not having the VISA debit card is a real pain... although I know of one bank that is working on it, but still... catch up Canada! :) On and PS, would be nice to know why Paypal got ditched, I really like using that even when I was living in the States...
