I'm to stupid to get it!?

Enlighten me in your ways of thinking? :helpsmilie:

They think it means the US fixed wing is a Mig-29. You know, everything is subject to change.

Awesome.

But are the new 6DOF the same style of the budgie..???

The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance.

Oh. My. God.

Thanks so much ED - this is more than anyone could have asked for or dreamed of. For example, I was secretly fantasizing about onepride being locked up in ED´s basement and finishing his pit, but at no point would I have expected such a flood of new features. Not even close. Epic.

I think that they are working on MiG29 DCS module. It's speculation, but look at the facts - no 3rd party announcement and no 6DoF for FC3.

Of course, I could be wrong ...

Cheers!

One can hope.. but it's not that much to.. hmm.. click around with MFD-wise/non-HOTAS in a 29, compared to the a10c and ka50.. not even compared to the mig21bis.. or maybe there is!?. Future is looking bright anyway, though I wouldn't cry if it were included in FC3 too (even if that meant me having to buy a tutu and a webcam) :cheer3nc:

Line 32 is new, look at the OP of this thread, there is no line 32 ;)

32- Adjusted landing properties for Standard Flight Model aircraft.

^^That doesn't neccessarily mean the landing model got improved over the current one we have in FC3 as Wags stated they did all they could with it (given the SFM limitations).

I think they simply forgot to add it to the list as one of the (current) features already available in FC3. It's not much of an improvement..but there are some very slight changes in regards to landing behaviour.

How can they add a DCS: MiG-29? What would happen for the ones that own FC3 and not DCS: MiG-29?

You don't need to buy DCS module to have AI of that same module available to you, or to fly online with people who have that module.

With every new module, they update DCS World with its 3D model; the only thing you can't do is fly that plane.

Well, you're probably right because the whole post is about differences between FC2 and FC3 - but hey, we can still hope, right? ... :D

Y'all do realize, unless I'm mistaken, that some of those changes are already incorporated into World. Yes updates compared to FC2 but features already there.

that's true, the quote at the begining of this thread missed the start of the OP - specifically :

An apples-to-apples comparison between FC2 to FC3.

Cheers.

Respect ED! Nice to see you listen the community. Great news indeed! Thank you

The humor of it all is that they always have. ;)

To back up Weta43/paulrkiii:

Please don't make the failure to read the update list as a update list for DCS-World. (!)

This will may help to prevent you from disappointment...

Many of these mentioned updates about effects and environment are already included in DCS-World.

Read it as a update list for FC2 compared with FC3.

fc3 aircraft and dcs aircraft are different. A dcs mig 29 would mean clickable pit and afm among other things i suppouse. As said surely you could fly either version and still would be a mig 29. Of course thats assuming there will be a dcs:mig29, its just a community wish for now.

The key words are "everything is subject to change". Meaning it could have changed from U.S. to USSR... At least I hope it did. :D

I think its been figured out yet. I would hope there would be a way to choose which version a player can use if they were to own both versions. But it could very well be a separate object within the sim.

The right man in the wrong place makes all the difference in the world.

I know. My point was that it would be difficult to maintain two of the same aircraft in the game. If FC3 is an expansion to FC2, it would stipulate that the MiG-29S *must* be available in the game, either as how it was in FC2, or as an updated FC3 version. However, if they released a DCS: MiG-29S, it would mean that they need to maintain two types of the same aircraft in the game, which would be difficult.

Nice plane on that gun...

Well it works now ...

You have SU-25T in DCS:World and you have SU-25 in FC3. Same with A-10c and A-10a.

So there would be no problem to have MiG-29A and MiG-29S in FC3, and separate (hypothetical) full-blown Mig-29SM (or SU27 or F15 or whatever version they choose to eventually model as DCS: Fighter).

FC3 wil eventualy die, if they don't upgrade it gradually to full DCS status, however there are major restrictions from UBI and I think that ED wants to avoid them in the future.

We will see ...
