theGozr Posted October 15, 2013 Posted October 15, 2013 (edited) I just hate HDR.. something else must be done. Great on light .. not as good on shades We need Dynamics lights not HDR. Maybe using HDR name for the DCS serie isn't the right thing. Edited October 15, 2013 by theGozr Fly it like you stole it..

Fifi Posted November 1, 2013 Posted November 1, 2013 Just tried it, and that's a good change! I keep it! Never really liked HDR in other sims, cause they usually change colors too...sometime a very weird way (i.e in ROF). At first, DCS stock HDR didn't give me good results, or at least something i wasn't expecting. But your mod (again) solved it! :thumbup: It's even probably the best HDR i ever experienced. RagnarDa Posted November 14, 2013 Posted November 14, 2013 I can't get this to work in 1.2.6. Atleast not as I remembered it (which was very good): DCS AJS37 HACKERMAN There will always be bugs. If everything is a priority nothing is.
DieHard Posted November 14, 2013 Posted November 14, 2013 (edited) Hi, I am going to install this no-blurr HDR tonight for the P-51D for use in Multiplayer. I was told to use Modman with the latest updates to install it, extract it to: DCS World\bin . I have never used it. Supposedly I will be able to find the no-icon bogies easier using it. [edit] Installed it manually on a modded copy of DCS World, what I use to experiment with. I see the sun is smaller, looking at it, maybe not so bright. Easier to see bogies in the Dogs of War server? Not sure yet. The sky is still hazy. Edited November 16, 2013 by DieHard [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Jedi21 Posted January 8, 2014 Posted January 8, 2014 Hi, sorry if it has been asked already, but how should I set HDR in Options menu for this mod to work as intended? Thanks :)
Chazz_BMF Posted January 27, 2014 Posted January 27, 2014 Does this work for 1.2.7? :pilotfly:Wolfpack Production:pilotfly: -=<[WiN 10, I7 3770K @ 4,5 Ghz, Corsair H100i, Sabertooth Z77, 16 GB Dominator, Sapphire 7970 VaporX 6GB, C70 Vengance, Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS, Saitek Pro rudder, Track IR, Beyerdynamics MMX 300 ]>=- DCS/FC2/FC3/Arma videos on my channel: https://www.youtube.com/user/WolfpackproductionDK "Fortes Furtuna Juvat"
snuffles Posted January 27, 2014 Posted January 27, 2014 Any way to change the intensity on the fly? Like, if I am flying with my sunvisor down? I don't always openly list my things. But when I do, I put it in my signature.
epokha Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 I get a strange thing with this mod in 1.2.7 I see a red flash then everything goes darkish for about 15 seconds. After that it will slowly go back to normal. Just a minor thing, but strange. Like the pilot is having a acid flashback or something. RagnarDa Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 Might be related to the broken G-effects. Did you pull negative G when it happened? It doesn't need to be much. DCS AJS37 HACKERMAN There will always be bugs. If everything is a priority nothing is.
epokha Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 I didn't notice if I was pulling negative G or not. I'll watch out for that next time. uboats Posted February 8, 2014 Posted February 8, 2014 On another note: Since 1.2.6 it is not possible any more to adjust the colourshift of DCS because the HDR.lua is missing... (EDIT !), so I started to use SweetFX . Boy! I could slap myself that I haven't used It earlier.... - and I highly advise to do the same for all of you. See this comparison of my settings - it adds more vivid colours/contrast and removes this "grey dust" and also sharpens the textures. : I added a copy'n'paste ready SweetFX version for 64bit systems with my settings to make it easy for you. Read here how to tweak/configure it: http://sweetfx.thelazy.net/ Please don't start a discussion about the "right" settings in this thread -please use this one: SweetFX for DCS ?? After using this sweetfx with ur hdr mod, my fps dropped from 40+(ur hdr only) to only 20. Spetz Posted November 8, 2014 Posted November 8, 2014 Although this does work for 1.2.10 you do have to alt-tab at times to reload shaders. Are there any plans to update this great mod?

cichlidfan Posted November 8, 2014 Posted November 8, 2014 oh i can guarantee you the modders like these guys will make the cartoon looking graphics of edge look more realistic and epic... Pretty harsh words for something that is, as yet, unreleased and that you haven't seen running, in person. Just sayin' ... rcjonessnp175 Posted November 8, 2014 Posted November 8, 2014 (edited) To many thin skinned peeps around here, I fully support the modders and will always say their work will surpass those of developers. The current screen shots and videos of edge it looks to vibrant and not realistic as far as the lighting and color grading goes. But that's what is great again about modders and something like sweefx, you can tweak it till your perceived perfection. I really hope they get the global illumination dialed in better especially for Nevada. As of now it looks like a cartoon So if you've seen videos of a10c flying around in real world Nevada you will notice a yellowish gradient in the colors, not the blue gradient currently seen in the screen shots and videos. I imagine their will be settings to tweak aka HDR like we currently have. But that isn't enough for the current engine. BackboneOne Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 (edited) PeterP, thanks for this great mod, but i have really hard times making it work on multi-monitors in 1.2.16(( i got two 8' lilliputs for my MFCDs (vertical screen arrangement) and i have set up total resolution of my desktop which is 1920x1680 in MonitorSetup .lua i have read your Proper Neck guide but the questions is this: what file and line should i edit to alter my viewpoint to fit this resolution? will it also correct external view viewpoint? also i cant totally understand this "black background" method, i need some black layer behind MFCDs to hide moving background and have read posts about "black polygon" but can't figure out how to do it( thank you very much for your skill and effort! UPD: sorry for disturbing, UltraMDCS mod have solved all my problems with your mod!
