Whats the chances of seeing this aircraft in full HD at some point? On the surface it seems this would be an easy one. Is anything in that aircraft classified still?

Just for the clarification sake - the free Su-25A in DCS World features both, AFM and the 6DOF brand new cockpit 3D model?

On the subject - this would be a total surprise. I've never seen anyone from ED even mention doing a DCS Su-25A module. Maybe after the Warthog-level Su-27, F-15C and the Hornet...

Actually I think the Su-25A comes with FC3 and is not free. The Su-25T is the free one and does not have a 6DOF cockpit. I believe both now have the AFM though.

I was in Art of the Kill D#@ it!!!!

The 25s always had the AFM..

The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance.

It was FC 1 that drew me away from the AHog and made me love the Frogs. They are just so piggish to drive especially with an asymmetric load.

Now that the A has 6DoF I want a more complete startup than CTRL_L, SHIFT_HOME. It seems pointless ramp starting any of the FC aircraft after A10c.

Well I hope we see them all in Full HD eventually, I just wondered if there were any obstacles. Like I say I cant imagine there would be nearly the work involved in this as compared to F18c and eventually one glorious day F15&Su27.

There's no easy such thing as an easy DCS-level module, unless maybe it was DCS Wright Flyer. You must model almost every single system to exacting detail; even a Su-25A is a very complex beast to code.

Intelligent discourse can only begin with the honest admission of your own fallibility.

One thing to remember is that a DCS level Frog would bring more restrictions to the already old plane. Like for example the weapon system can't handle several types of guided missiles or bombs to be hanged at the same time. No problem if you haven't been loading a different weapon to each rack anyway.

Apart from this I think FC3 already gives a good enough representation of the old thing IMO.

Well one day I hope we DCS Su25A and if DCS Wright Flyer gets made I'm gonna have to build a dedicated pit for that:)

Interesting point about the loadout restrictions.

At the end of the day I think it'll be more a case of sales and I'm not sure the 25A has enough mass appeal to warrant the further development to Full HD:cry: It's a shame as this old beast is a great trainer aircraft in the FC series for making you look at the guages and not rely on the HUD.

They are basicly going to add AFM to the existing FC3 Su-27 and F-15C and sell it as a module.

WHY NOT do the same for the Su-25? I mean: it's already done so please, please sell it as a standalone module for around $10.
