Gh0st007 Posted August 24, 2013 Posted August 24, 2013 I sure can't wait for the DCS F-18C, I haven't heard anything more of the F-18C from dcs. I guess we will just have to wait until they update us. My system specification i9 13900000K/Game board - 64GB of random access memory / Galax 7090/ ViewSonic Elite XG320Q 32 Screen of monitor/ VPC Collective - VPC Sharka50 Grip / Trackir 5/ TPR/ Orion2 F/A-18 Throttle/VPC WarBRD Base/ Hornet grip/F-16 grip/ and most of all a ham sandwich.
Scoggs Posted August 24, 2013 Posted August 24, 2013 (edited) Honestly, I would not expect any new on Hornet until this time next year at the earliest. From Wags earlier. Kinda sad about it really. I think they are focusing on improving the engine (i.e. water and ship simulation) before releasing. I could of sworn that they have been working on "Next DCS-Fixed wing" for a few years now. Will see if I still have that Newsletter. [EDIT] Guess I don't have it anymore. Maybe I am just remembering wrong, but I swore I got one last year mentioning that. What I also would like to know is, is the F/A-18C going to be the next module by ED? Because lately Wags has been talking about the Su-27S and F-15C. Or are these the Flaming Cliffs modules he was talking about in the same 21 June 2013 post Other FC3 aircraft will be improved as well (like the Su-27, Su-25, F-15C and A-10A). When they are further along, we will discuss them. Anyways, I just want to know if this is still ED next module. Thanks! [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

Thanks!I think, in regards to the Su-27S and F-15C, Wags was referring to the Advanced Flight Models only. They will still be Flaming Cliffs fidelity modules. At least for the next incarnations of these aircraft. The F-18C will be a full fidelity module which is why it's going to take so long.

Unfortunately for me, this will be during my final year in high school studying for the IB exams, so I won't have time to do any DCS related things anyways. :( [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

GodsPrototype Posted August 30, 2013 Posted August 30, 2013 The DCS Newsletter from August 30th has a attached image of a F/A-18C I believe. There is no mention of any F/A-18 in the whole newsletter, unfortunately, so I'm not sure what this entails. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
joey45 Posted August 30, 2013 Posted August 30, 2013 Aussies are now in DCS. The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance. "Me, the 13th Duke of Wybourne, here on the ED forums at 3 'o' clock in the morning, with my reputation. Are they mad.." https://ko-fi.com/joey45
Pilotasso Posted August 31, 2013 Posted August 31, 2013 yes, though the aussie markings are barely visible in that picture ;) .
