Floyd Posted February 2, 2006 Posted February 2, 2006 Not realy, It has always happened. People just noticed it more since its their reputation at stake. ;) Funny that planes start to warp, jiggle and jump the moment the first missile is fired at them. Well, I would say "used it more", not "noticed" ;)
Prophet_169th Posted February 2, 2006 Posted February 2, 2006 Funny that planes start to warp, jiggle and jump the moment the first missile is fired at them. Well, I would say "used it more", not "noticed" ;) That is because there is more net traffic once the missle is fired. So connections with higher packet loss will succumb to this.
Kevlon Posted February 4, 2006 Posted February 4, 2006 I`ll be leaving the code for the stats alone for a while, as I need to take a break from that project. I will (probably) return to it at a later date.... no ETA for resumption of work on the stats. I also have some hardware arriving some time next week that requires a lot of coding for a project I have been planning for a few months, so that will take up some of my spare time for the foreseeable future, but not as much as the stats... hell, i might even get to fly on my own server occasionally. yaY! ;D [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
TucksonSonny Posted February 4, 2006 Posted February 4, 2006 While your idea is as good as any exposed here, think this: Ice goes on vacations to my country for a a month and his score migrates to another table. Since your currently disputing the top dog award with him, you would have to compare both tables to keep climbing the ladder. It can get confusing and doesnt make much sense (at least not in my point of view), to guess about his position or anybody else's from 1 table to the other. Guess who is holding the record with the RE-27EM weapon (10 EM kills) :icon_supe I wonder who is holding the ET-kill record and the R77 and AIM-120C-record and so on. Yurec.orl Posted February 5, 2006 Posted February 5, 2006 I think, it will also be nice to have shot / kill ratio for missiles.
GGTharos Posted February 5, 2006 Posted February 5, 2006 That isn't possible though, because missile launches are not exported :( [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Reminder: SAM = Speed Bump :D I used to play flight sims like you, but then I took a slammer to the knee - Yoda
TucksonSonny Posted February 5, 2006 Posted February 5, 2006 You want to reveal your identity THAT much?;) 10/1/3... He he he, you exposed my identity. I am outing anyway. I am starting a new squadron at the moment focusing on the Su-33. (Of course all other platforms are supported too if you would fly for the ~{148th~) http://users.skynet.be/VandenHaute/148th/ The idea is not to create a hierarchical structure but rather a gang of privateers. The recruiting procedure is very simple: Land and start from the carrier once without crashing in realistic/ace mode. (You can send me a print screen from the briefing from any public server hosting at HL, that’s all) There is basically only 1 rule: It is not allowed to cheat on any public server. BTW, I am still working on the squadron patch  . GGTharos Posted February 5, 2006 Posted February 5, 2006 Good luck, TS ... we've found that privateerism doesn't work in the face of a squad, partularely where >2 aircraft are involved, per side. ;) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Reminder: SAM = Speed Bump :D I used to play flight sims like you, but then I took a slammer to the knee - Yoda
TucksonSonny Posted February 5, 2006 Posted February 5, 2006 So maybe you will join the Lomac League , yeah ? ;) You already know who the ace pilots are. Let them fight in the top gun Lomac League. 169th_Ice, S77th_GOYA, 44th_Eagle, Pilotasso, Goon, etc… I still need combat practice :icon_weed BTW, real men fight with SAR-missiles! ;) DELL Intel® Core™ i7 Processor 940 2,93 GHz @3 GHz, 8 MB cache | 8.192 MB 1.067 MHz Tri Channel DDR3 | 512 MB ATI® Radeon™ 4850 | 500 GB 7200 rpm Serial ATA | Samsung SM 2693 HM 25.5 " | HOTAS Cougar Thrustmaster |
Pilotasso Posted February 5, 2006 Posted February 5, 2006 Good luck, TS ... we've found that privateerism doesn't work in the face of a squad, partularely where >2 aircraft are involved, per side. ;) That information is not entirely accurate. ;) It works but its harder. When Im directing wingmen I get distracted sometimes. On other occasions I got nailed trying to help out a team mate, while I was hearing alot of chatter and feedback from others. .
GGTharos Posted February 5, 2006 Posted February 5, 2006 It is pretty accurate actually ... but there's a good chance the squad may well be acting like a buncha provateers which ends up with the situation you describe ;) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Reminder: SAM = Speed Bump :D I used to play flight sims like you, but then I took a slammer to the knee - Yoda
AJ.eightFive Posted February 5, 2006 Posted February 5, 2006 How about a stat that tracks the number of friendly aircraft shot down while you are present on the server. Might give an idea of how well people are looking out for each other? I'm looking forward to hopping onto your server sometime soon. Would someone be kind enough to post the IP, port and password? Thanks.

AJ.eightFive Posted February 5, 2006 Posted February 5, 2006 I know, I don't have HL installed as I prefer to connect directly and have as few things running in the background as possible.
