Witchking Posted November 18, 2013 Posted November 18, 2013 I can't wait to check out AFM in the good old LOMAC jets. Its about time and landings are almost the most fun I used to have in the old flanker 2.5 days. I still sometimes just jump into a Su-25 or Su-25T, quick mission editor placement mission and just land under different atmospheric conditions. Still pretty tricky to pull off properly sometimes. :) WHISPR | Intel I7 5930K | Nvidia GTX980 4GB GDDR5 | 16GB DDR4 | Intel 730 series 512GB SSD | Thrustmaster WARTHOG | CH Pro Pedals | TrackIR4 pro | |A-10C|BS2 |CA|P-51 MUSTANG|UH-1H HUEY|MI-8 MTV2 |FC3|F5E|M2000C|AJS-37|FW190|BF 109K|Mig21|A-10:SSC,EWC|L-39|NEVADA|
Kenan Posted November 19, 2013 Posted November 19, 2013 Slightly OT: I will be fairly dissapointed if the next update does not include at least some sort of a beta version of AFM F15C. :D [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Commanding Officer of: 2nd Company 1st financial guard battalion "Mrcine" See our squads here and our . VanjaB Posted November 23, 2013 Posted November 23, 2013 Slightly OT: I will be fairly dissapointed if the next update does not include at least some sort of a beta version of AFM F15C. :D Was just about to ask, any (un)official updates?
joey45 Posted November 23, 2013 Posted November 23, 2013 I very much doubt they would release a beta version of the AFM. The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance. Raven68 Posted November 23, 2013 Posted November 23, 2013 I have a good feeling we'll see it by next weekend! :bounce: I hope before Thanksgiving here. For some reason I thought we were still a long way from the AFM. joey45 Posted November 24, 2013 Posted November 24, 2013 looking at release at late November Don't be surprised IF it's delayed... Lucas_From_Hell Posted November 24, 2013 Posted November 24, 2013 I'd bet December or January, to give the poor chaps time to smooth it out... Don't want to rush 'em on an AFM, a buggy one can mess up a module big time :)
rassy7 Posted November 28, 2013 Posted November 28, 2013 Ahhhh ... reading this thread is pure torture. Must. Be. Patient. But. Want. It. Now! I would bet on Dec/Jan too but if it means having an initial release with fewer bugs, I'd take it. VanjaB Posted December 2, 2013 Posted December 2, 2013 So November is behind us, and no news is good news right? ;)
Raven68 Posted December 2, 2013 Posted December 2, 2013 So November is behind us, and no news is good news right? ;) Just in case you missed it. This from another thread.... The good news is that we have a F-15 pilot taking a very active role in helping us get the F-15C AFM just right. With his help, we are making great strides that we would not have made otherwise. The bad news is that with his input, we have identified several more areas that need adjustment, and that has required more time than we originally estimated. Once we and he are happy with it, it will be released soon afterwards. Kenan Posted December 2, 2013 Posted December 2, 2013 As much as I would liked it YESTERDAY, let them work on it..let them make it near perfect and then we'll have a blast flying it! :) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Commanding Officer of: 2nd Company 1st financial guard battalion "Mrcine" See our squads here and our . rassy7 Posted December 2, 2013 Posted December 2, 2013 As much as I would liked it YESTERDAY, let them work on it..let them make it near perfect and then we'll have a blast flying it! :) Totally agree. I hate bugs and waiting for patches and fixes. I'd rather just keep the AFM on my list of stuff I'm waiting to see for the first time than add it to my list of stuff I hope gets fixed before I throw my computer at the wall in frustration, ;-) The State Military (MAG 13) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] SHEEP WE-01 AV-8B BuNo 164553 VMA-214 Col J. “Poe” Rasmussen http://www.statelyfe.com Specs: Gigabyte Z390 Pro Wifi; i9-9900K; EVGA 2080 Ti Black; 32GB Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4; Samsung 970 EVO Series M.2 SSD; WIN10; ASUS VG248QE; CV-1 and Index Modules: A-10C; AV8B; CA; FC3; F-5; F-14; F-18; F-86; HAWK; L-39; P-51; UH1H; NTTR; Normandy; Persian Gulf
GGTharos Posted December 2, 2013 Posted December 2, 2013 AFMs are not simple things. There's no doubt in my mind that the finished product will be awesome. Have some patience though, like I said ... not a simple/easy thing. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Reminder: SAM = Speed Bump :D I used to play flight sims like you, but then I took a slammer to the knee - Yoda

SkateZilla Posted December 2, 2013 Posted December 2, 2013 for the record, I wasn't referring to time to climb or any specific stat other than the challenge of doing it for fun with an AFM and pushing it into situations that show the advantages of an AFM..
