Exactly, the one in Minsk is called Belsimtek.

It seems BST have both developed the engine, and several terrains.

The terrain is showcased with the BST logo at the beginning of the video.

In the video which Ilya posted, one of the developers mentions that three terrains have already been created for this engine (EDGE).

Yeah, they are refering to the 3d Assets, Textures, and 3d Objects, not the Coding of the Engine.

Developing the engine is discussed earlier in the video. Moreover, as you can see in the screencap, he says "we need some new tech for it, we develop it, test it".

@Aldega

What difference does it make if it says BST or ED on the mailbox? Seriously, what difference does it make to the customer?

It doesn't. I just pointed out that EDGE was being developed by Belsimtek (also called "ED's Minsk studio"), which some people questioned.

Is that Alexei Smirnov, Eagle Dynamics, Effects and Graphics? ;)

Seriously Aldega, what are you on about?

FACTS:

EDGE is made by Eagle Dynamics.

ED partners have access to this. This includes (but is not necesarily limited to) BST and RRG.

ED has a studio in Minsk.

Belsimtek is not another name for this studio. Belsimtek is a separate company that develop products in partnership with Eagle Dynamics.

The people interviewed in these videos are not exclusively RRG or BST staff. See the interview with Yo-Yo.

Please just put your tinfoil hat aside.

Actually, I think everyone would question it. Your evidence gathering techniques leave much to be desired. :)

No, you didn't "point it out". You asserted it. We asked for evidence. Your evidence does not stand up to scrutiny because it's logic is faulty.

The assertion is also just plain false. EDGE is developed by Eagle Dynamics. Period.

Both companies have small teams, but they work together on several projects and on several "levels". The people are very likely not assigned to their tasks by the name of the company who pays their pay checks. Instead they will very likely just be assigned dynamically based on their experience and main responsibilities. Everything else would be too formal and cause too much overhead. And when they say "we", I bet they mean just the actual project.

This is how I percieved such kind of work or projects and I would be surprised, if ED & BST would work much differently.

Coincidence

They have Offices in Moscow, Russia and Minsk, Belorussia.

It would make since that BST, Being a Partner, and Having A few Current/Formed ED Employees, also have a Studio in the same Area.

http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=107093

A few weeks ago I mentioned new information regarding the Nevada map and the development of EDGE technology. Fear not, I have not forgotten! Much of this work is being done in our Minsk office and I am waiting to receive images and information from them to use in my update.

If EDGE was developed by BST, Why arent they giving Development updates, instead of ED Staff.

Alas, Im done debating, as it has taken the thread off topic, I merely asked for an actual Post by ED or BST Staff Member Stating it, not screenshots from a video with English Subtitles.

No not at the expense of DCS: F/A18.

I think it is a general mistake to make single role aircraft (A10c, Huey, MI4). Don't get me wrong high fidelity anything is good but DCS needs to get some more versatile and capability dynamic platforms.

F15c would be great at DCS level but it's still 90% a fighter and has very limited A-G capability. Its a recipe for people getting bored IMHO. This is why people are so fixated about F/A18.

So, a no vote but only on the basis of platform type/capability and because it needs to be at the back of the list not the front of it.

I am waiting for the F18 since 2003, could the F15 please queue up.

And currently ED/DCS? is under hypnosis of a legendary sim. designer to do what others made and others make again. But I'll wait another, another year till wwII is over and ED\DCS does what makes it unique. The A10C is a masterpiece the F18C should be too..

Sharpe, you seem to be under the understanding that aircraft selection is based on customer demand purely. It is not. Selection for development is very much dependent on availability of documentation, SME's etcetera. A-10C information gained through making the military DTS for the USANG, for example.

And also, being bored because you're not multirole? Say that to the tonnes of people that nigh exclusively flight Su-27, MiG-29 or F-15C in FC. Or, for that matter, the Su-25T. When I started the T-Frog was what I flew. Not being a able to self-escort against air superiority assets didn't bother me. Multirole is over-estimated in that department.

Nowehere. EDGE started out as a partner program, but was later turned into an in-house development project. BST, however, could very well be contributing development assets towards EDGE (Or the NTTR in particular).

You are wrong here, you are confusing NEVADA with EDGE.

Back in the days, a third party group were developing a Nevada map for inclusion with DCS A-10C. This used the same engine as is used by Georgia.

This effort fell through for a bunch of reasons, and ED assumed control of the Nevada map, using it as the testbed for EDGE.

The third party development project you are referring to had absolutely nothing to do with EDGE. It was a map of the NTTR using the OLD IG, same as Georgia. The NTTR today, using EDGE, is re-done from scratch but using some of the resources from that previous project.
