DNS, ipconfig, flushdns after server maintance?

After the maintenance is done to the server on Tuesday. ED, highly recommend you clear DNS cache? Run ipconfig flushdns in windows?

 

Could someone care to explain the above a little better? Like how to do this? Just for someone who doesn't know a great deal about windows? Thanks!

Yup.

 

Go to START > RUN and type CMD. Press enter.

When in the command prompt (black window with a flashing cursor) type > ipconfig /flushdns

 

And it's done. Only do this wen you actually do have a issue.

Const has fixed the issue and has asked for everyone to try again, accessing the Module manager.

For windows, default name resolution is working in the following order:

 

cache -> host file -> DNS server.

 

The cache is cleaned up at each restart. If you want to check what is in your dns cache content you can issue the following commnand:

 

/> ipconfig /displaydns
