[swedish mode on] Oroa dig inte, det finns många nya (oeriösa) inlägg som inte har hängt med sen första dagen och är mer tjatiga än resten av oss. [swedish mode off]

Rest a sure that a lot of followers are eagerly awaiting the Mig-21 experience once it's released :smilewink:

Hur många meddelanden måste jag skriva innan jag tillhör er art? Jag tror att jag kan ha en åsikt här. Jag bryr mig om deras produkt, också.

Me too (even though I don't qualify as a "Day one follower").

i think that this is the wrong thread for that topic

I think that was a wrong topic for this thread.

I can speak fish but I didn't babble about it in the wrong thread.

Fishbed knows he has to hit the wall 9 out of 10 times before he gets a result.

To be at an air show is risky due to the mechanics and piloting. You are essentially relying on a pilot and mechanical systems, the organizers have no control at that point that’s why insurance and betting offices have to take thing into account.

Can we go ahead and drop the faux philosophical "you know, if you'd tell us EVERYTHING, it'd work out fantastic" arguments? We all know it's nothing but thinly veiled requests for the developers to tell you everything, and acting like airing your dirty laundry in public is a good thing won't exactly make a release any more likely.

You presume that that 'airing dirty laundry in public' is a bad thing. Perhaps not.

I erred thinking that the public might actually contribute something useful to the discussion of the issue, whatever it might be.

My goodness, you're right , of course, I'll just let secrecy run its natural path, then.

How silly of me to think that the public should know anything other than what censorship would permit.

Thanks for pointing out the folly of my 'faux' perspective.

And just exactly WHAT do you or the community have to offer regarding an internal issue at a privately held company? GOOD GOD

Everyone needs to get a grip, shut up and let them sort THEIR OWN ISSUES OUT.

Do you truly not comprehend the difference between "privacy" and "censorship"? The latter insinuates that there is something that you have a right to know. In this case, you have no right to know anything.

For the developers to drop all demands for privacy and make public something that is so infected that they have halted all production just so that a bunch of people who's primary interest is the release of the module and not the resolution of the conflict (it's only natural, why would people not involved in the conflict put it above more modules? We want it resolved, but only because it's in the way of more modules) would only turn it into a forum popularity contest about who's right, and most likely piss off the developers even more at each other.

Has Beczl's MIG21Bis been canned?

As the title suggests just a question about the Mig21. Is it still on?

I tried accessing the relevant 3rd party forum earlier and it said access denied and now it has gone :(

Was ready to part with the cash for that bad boy.

Whatever you guys need to sort out - please do so. MiG-21 is badly needed.

Fingers crossed the project to be back on track soon!

What business does the public have in what is a private discussion, which may involve business finance and contractual law?

None.

How silly of me to think that the public should know anything other than what censorship would permit.

Sure. The public must always know everything, simply because it asks. Your wife has been sleeping around on you, but is looking to reconcile. I'm sure the absolute first thing you do run to Facebook and call her a harlot, and look for the public at large to talk the two of you through it. Thus, she leaves you permanently, for the fact that you are effectively tone deaf.

And that contract you have with a guy- he breaks it. You can nail him, according to your lawyer, but instead, you run off to Yelp and downvote the hell out of him, and let the weight of the reviewers damage his business. Subsequently, your lawyer wants nothing to do with you, because you have undercut your own chances to win the case.

It doesn't matter what you think you may bring to the table- it's not your business venture, thus it's not your (or anyone else's) business.

There is no reason why the MiG-21 sub-board had to be removed if all that ED and Beczl wanted to do was talk privately.

They could and do carry on that discourse even as we speak.

The MiG-21 sub-board was a public forum, a place where interested customers could talk with Studio Beczl. Obviously, it was created by ED to engage prospective customers with a very popular 3rd party developer.

It wasn't limited to ED's interests. It does, however, further them. That translates into profits for ED.

Something in that public discussion alarmed someone in ED and the whole thing was silenced. Don't you wonder why?

It is not about Beczl, of course. It's not about the MiG-21 module. It's not about privacy.

Granted that a great deal of what transpires on Forums is a lot like Barrens Chat, but that does not mean that the value of open discourse is lost because of it.

I am always curious when people oppose open expression.

Do you really think that public commentary is a bad thing?

I am equally curious about your assertion that no one who is a customer of ED has any right to know anything; that is a profit-crushing concept.

Actually, since Eagle Dynamics (and Beczl Studios for that matter) is a privately held corporation, the customer does not have any right to know why they do anything.
