OxideMako Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 (edited) My friend has been having repeated crash issues since 1.2.7. The game freezes, screen goes black and sound bugs out for a few seconds and then the game comes back. This occurs at random times. Sometimes it also causes mic issues in Teamspeak 3. As the game does not crash fully, we have not been able to get a crash log. However he had a serious crash today and the log and DMP are included. He would love to find a solution, as we have tried everything - reinstalling C++, DX9c, a full reinstall of DCS itself, and checked CPU/GPU temps. OxideMako Posted February 12, 2014 Author Posted February 12, 2014 (edited) This has not been solved with Mondays patch - and I have been informed that it happened occasionally when flare/chaff was launched in 1.2.6. (but not in 1.2.7) If anything this is worse in the current build, occurs much more often. It is for all intents and purposes, unplayable. Same thing happens - screen blacks out, sound continues although periodically cuts out, and the game then returns to normal. Have tried absolutely everything now. Reinstalled DCS, Visual C++, DirectX, Audio drivers, Graphics drivers, Run as admin, turned off anti-virus. And it leaves no crash log as DCS does not "crash" so to speak. While I made this thread for my friend, since the 334.89 Nvidia drivers this has been happening to me too. So yes, it seems to be driver related, cheers for the suggestion. EDIT: His crashing issue is now massively reduced - is playable again with 334.89. I gained the issue with those drivers so reverted back to 332.21 and all seems fine. First driver Issue I have ever had with an Nvidia GPU.... Edited February 20, 2014 by OxideMako

No need to completely revert or install, Just download, extract to it's temp location (usually something like C:\nVidia\), copy DLL to DCS's /BIN/ Folder. I dont know the exact DLL for nVidia, as I use AMD, I Run 14.1 on my System and DCS Uses the 13.9 DLLs Edited February 20, 2014 by SkateZilla Windows 10 Pro, Ryzen 2700X @ 4.6Ghz, 32GB DDR4-3200 GSkill (F4-3200C16D-16GTZR x2), ASRock X470 Taichi Ultimate, XFX RX6800XT Merc 310 (RX-68XTALFD9) 3x ASUS VS248HP + Oculus HMD, Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS + MFDs

Thanks for the suggestion, but we appear to have solved the issue by reverting Nvidia drivers. However is it possible that the newer drivers were causing memory access errors?
