Consider this more like a tease you might see at the end of the Beyond videos, you dont get much, but you know its coming.

The Zero announcement should have been announced with a really big ass trailer. I think the reason they didn't is because they don't have much to show. Sadly. But Nevertheless, we are getting a zero! It is beyond amazing.

Thanks for your advice. I don't have any overclocks, all factory settings. I can check the disk and memory, which I do from time to time. I saw in the logs that it says I have parked CPU cores (CPU HAS PARKED LOGICAL CORES (this can be a source of stuttering and reduced performance, especially on hybrid CPUs with P/E cores). Since there's already an open discussion about this, I'll try asking there for advice on how to best set up the cores.

Fine, forget about those missions, not important anyway. But what about that Corsair one? No baked views in that one, as you said it yourself. As mentioned and clearly seen in the screenshots, on this mission "DCS" not "just" zooms out the default view, but it also messes up ALL the other saved snap views! Again as mentioned, I never use used Flight / Prepare Mission, I use always the green button “Fly mission”….. Still astonished by ED not showing signs of life concerning this matter.....

Please go by official announcements. Things can be teased or shown that might not be announced yet, or later were removed from the plan, etc. Focus on all the exciting things we announced, and don't worry about the non-announced items until they are announced. Our assets are in varying stages of readiness; they might make the occasional guest spot here and there.

In S-530 mode, radar unlocked : no informations for the time of flight of the missile. @+

Military Assets for DCS by Currenthill
Mac D replied to currenthill's topic in Static/AI Mods for DCS World
Think I figured out WHY CH's assets aren't playing nice with the CallArtilleryScript : The CallArtilleryScript has included all the ammonition artillery and mortars which are being by the BASIC DCS ASSETS Seeing CH's uses specific ammonition for it's assest...which are not in the script (It would explain why you get the out-of-ammo reply and why the CH's assets aren't reloading) Gonna change the CAS script tommorrow and try it -

When I read the newsletter about the RWR of the Mig-29 suddenly something broke inside me because that Friday it hit me hard what had been an elusive thought for quite sometime, that I'm not going to see DCS become a proper game in my lifetime. Magnificent aircraft simulations but in a bare bone combat environment that feels like a placeholder. It has felt like a temporary placeholder for 35 years. This isn't a simulated combat environment, it's just cardboard targets in a shooting range. I think veterans don't need a 100 page essay to understand what I'm talking about. People who have been playing DCS for only a few years will understand in due time.

I'm lazy and normally in other jets I just flick everything that I want on while waiting for things to happen like during the spool up of the engines for the fastest startup. Now, in this jet, systems are modeled to higher level of fidelity regarding damage and the tutorial warns while going over the IRL derived checklists that systems like the INS and the TACAN can be damaged if left active during the power switch over from external to internal. My question is, Is this actually modeled or just part of the IRL procedures and checklists?

Mission 3 trigger problem - Huey Last Show
HueyPilot15 replied to HueyPilot15's topic in UH-1H The Huey Last Show Campaign
Awesome thank you! -
I think a lot of it just has to do with the fun factor. You're jumping in, getting your slice of the (admittedly unlimited) pie, feeling that little extra bit of expectation. There's also the idea of showing support to the developer and the sim in general. And the savings of course.

no news... right?

I'm just curious. As you can see in the pictures above, they are all A6M5c but this forum section is called A6M5b...So I thought it's M3's A6M5c

Didnt honestly notice that, It is missing for some reason. Will fix it. Another time, thanks for this great explanation. I will adjust it further so it is closer and closer to the original
-
I'm fairly sure there is no more work being done on the BS2 version.
-
Having just muzzle flashes akin to the fire and smoke effects to be placed would be a great solution. Place them around buildings or in the forests.
-
Wow, thanks for the quick reaction! However, what I meant is something like in my screenshot. Reason is that it is already hard to match the sound with the corresponding airframe. But knowing which radar type is in that fighter is even one step harder - and frankly not that relevant IMHO. Please excuse, my first post was not very clear in that regard.
-
That's what I meant, yes. I do not find it amusing when I spend time carefully placing things in a mission only to later find out that I can't share it people freely because at some point I used something form an asset pack. It isn't always obvious, and it's definitely going to get harder when there are more asset packs around.

The Zero deserves a better announcement
Silver_Dragon replied to jeventy26's topic in DCS: A6M5B Zero
What does that mean? Can't another 3D modeler come along and make an A5M Zero? (remember a official ED Zero module has incoming) Or is it exclusive to M3? ED has officially confirmed it for 2024 (Wags/Nineline) and already said at the time that it would be part of the PTO. The fact that M3 hasn't added them to the M3 PTO assts pack it after three years isn't ED's problem. On 2025 February... ED show your zero to the PTO assets pack -
Missing USSR airbases in the upcoming Afghanistan map
Ronin_Gaijin replied to Ronin_Gaijin's topic in Wish List
The group included planes and crews of the guards units of the Long-Range Aviation: a squadron of Tu-16 of 251st guards TBAP from Belaya Tserkva and two squadrons Tu-22M3 from Poltava 185th Guards TBAP. They were stationed at two nearby airfields, Mary-1 and Mary-2, the only ones available at that time, even if they were further from the target than the border bases (for the "long-range" the difference of 200-300 km was not significant). Mary-1 was home to the 1521st Fighter Air Base MiG-23 and MiG-29, which "played along" as the enemy during the training and periodic inspections of fighter pilots. Here 11 Tu-16s were deployed - three detachments and two control group vehicles. There was a local airport on the other side of the runway, which was another reason for the division of the Long-Range Aviation group. Mary-1 airfield was also used to receive "transporters" with the withdrawing troops, UN representatives were invited there, and the menacing -looking "Backfires" did not fit well into the ideas of Western diplomats about the implementation of the Geneva Agreements.
