Yeah, good call....they are AI A-10Cs on OPs mission. AI helicopters can "spawn on ground" outside parking spots. Only AI fixed wings are prohibited.
-
I love the save game option & the recent damage models staying on the battlefield. However, I don't understand the saved state features. For example, My AWACS does function when I re-enter the save game. Late activated aircraft on an action trigger are there but their waypoints aren't showing. Any triggered actions, such as a convoy moving towards a target return to a late activation state, even when triggered as active in the original mission before the save. Maybe I don't understand the concept of the saved game option and is still being developed. Question: will original triggers work in the saved game if not triggered in the original mission?

Also note that AI fixed wing (don't know about helicopters) cannot spawn on ground, they can only spawn on a designated spot or in the air. If you want that aircraft to spawn on ground, set the skill level to "Client" or "Player".

Sniper2Spades started following Bug Report – DCS A-10C II Radio Frequency Issue
-
During a mission departing from Nellis AFB with the A-10C II, I encountered a bug involving the aircraft's radios. After setting both radios to their respective tower frequencies, the ARC-210 radio automatically switches to the ARC-164 UHF frequency at a specific moment. Here’s the sequence of actions performed: • Set frequency 132.55 on ARC-210 • Set frequency 327.00 on ARC-164 • Requested taxi clearance on 327.00 (ARC-164) • After receiving taxi clearance, I requested takeoff clearance on 132.55 (ARC-210) At the exact moment I made the takeoff request via the in-game radio menu, the ARC-210 frequency was automatically overwritten and switched to 327.00, matching the ARC-164. I’m attaching both a video and a track file to illustrate the issue. Thanks Sniper radio_bug.trk 2025-08-20 14-41-23.mkv

Ah! Thanks Razor. Learning new things everyday. @Dragan your Warthogs in your mission are set to spawn in a "turning point" at 33ft Set to "Start on Ground" instead like on my images above.

A track file is a mission file with the track data. It can still be opened with the mission editor, you just have to switch the file format from ".miz" to ".trk" when you click on "open mission" or whatever it is called in the editor.
-
That's a track file. Use "Take Off From Ground". To from ground.miz

Please Address Game Bloat from CoreMods & Excessive Liveries
Darcaem replied to celestHawk's topic in DCS Core Wish List
100% agree with the general topic, and with those 2 suggestions specifically. We are already able to manage what terrains and modules want to install, we might use the same manager to chose which liveries to install, besides the default livery for each core asset (or maybe even one default livery per country per asset, when appropriate). -

Can you post the mission file?

Following the option of preparing for takeoff outside the designated parking space, the plane had a cold start. When I was supposed to start, the plane was in the air at its lowest point and hit a tree and that was the end. What is the point of this option if it doesn't work, which I tried for the first time, or where is my possible mistake??? LastMissionTrack.trk

The user-defined Properties for Trigger Zones are insanely useful. Please consider adding similar functionality for Airplane and Vehicle Groups, this would be a game-changer for content creation. Thank you.

High Digit SAMs - A community asset pack for DCS World
YuraAntropov replied to Auranis's topic in DCS Modding
SAMP\T does not work. Version DCS 2.9.19.13478 (the update was released on August 13, 2025) The radar does not detect targets (it does not even trigger on targets. It does not start until "Combat readiness" is set, which means that the radar does not see targets). As of March 2025 - everything worked correctly I am attaching a test mission:51ct.miz -

seems you have excellent internet bandwidth, but I see many people that wouldn’t have enough bandwidth to play. -

Streaming content is very expensive, which is fine for massive companies with unlimited resources. But it does not scale down to well. Hi celesteHawk, Thank you for your input. I will share your comments with the team. Managing the size of DCS is something we discuss internally, but it is a challenge. thank you -

Perhaps at some point DCS just goes for streaming all the content vs storing it locally. -

Pantsir and Tor M2 shoot down Hellfires
Кош replied to Ian Boys UK's topic in Currenthill Asset Packs
any sources for Pantsir? thare are numerous IRL evidences Pansir is not able to self defend against subsonic tactical missiles like Delilah, and misses drones by tens of meters. TOR is known to be a very potent anti-missile system, that's undisputed and proven by hard evidence. -

Standalone still uses SteamVR, so it's the same deal. -
Thank you for the suggestion but this is not what I was looking for. That's just the same as the F4 view which allows you to freely move around an object. As you can tell from the video above, the slow panning/ rotational shot that keeps the aircraft centered is completely different. Another question I have is whether it's possible to have a super slow translational movement of the camera with the mouse wheel in free view mode - atm one scroll movement of the mouse wheel up or down results in a translational movement of the camera forward or backwards but at a much higher rate than I would ideally like for a cinematic close-up shot, and I cannot find any way of reducing these mouse wheel increments to have a slower translational movement

SA-22 It has a mm wavelength range that not all RWRs can see

Thanks. But...this is Su-15? Right?
