1./JG71 "Richthofen" - Cold War, full-real [für deutsche Piloten]
Volator replied to Volator's topic in Jets Squadrons
Butterfly Setup Dogfighting. Overhead break. Roll-out.
After a three weeks long training commando in Norway together with the Joint Task Force Francophone (JTFF), 1./JG71 is back in Germany and populating the Cold War Germany NATO Training Server (CWGNTS). We are reaching out to like-minded milsim squadrons and ATC + TAC/C2 folks that are interested in creating a realistic and immersive military air traffic environment, something like a "VATSIM lite in DCS". Designate your virtual homebase on our server and respective spawning slots and have your squadron training flights here with us. This increases the chance to see other virtual traffic and create a little bit more atmosphere and immersion. It also provides you the opportunity to find like-minded squadrons and stage joint training missions in the growing community of CWGNTS. For ATC folks, you will find realism-minded military training traffic on one single server that ideally gives you more than just a single VFR flight to work with. We offer a chart repository of historical VFR and IFR charts to provide a common (and fixed) set of procedures for both pilots and ATC folks, plus a historically authentic airspace structure of Germany from 1989. Are you member of a virtual squadron or ATC/TAC-C2 and interested of joining the CWGNTS community? Send us a private message here in the forum to get more details and the access data to our Discord. Come fly with us, we are looking forward to seeing you in the pattern and hearing you on frequency!

With Process Lasso, I deactivated hyper threading, to pass my I7 13700 KF in active Cores = 0,2,4,6,8,10,12 and 14 and it seems to hold without crash, to follow.. Avec Process Lasso, j'ai désactivé hyper threading, pour passer mon I7 13700 KF en Cores actifs = 0,2,4,6,8,10,12 et 14 et ça a l'air de tenir sans crash , à suivre..

Last update mission accomplished Cranked up the settings posted above: VR Bitrate set to 150 Mbps (still the same) Sharpening set to 30% (still the same) VR Framerate set to 90 FPS -> 120 FPS Frame Rate set to 90 FPS ->120 FPS Desktop Bitrate set to 90 Mbps -> 120 FPS DCS Settings locking frame rate: set to 90 FP ->120 FPS Also changed in VD settings to Ultra Quality. Did a playtest on 4Y4 EU Server 20 players: Spawn & taxi = 60 FPS (not a FPS drop) Take-off = 60 FPS (not a FPS drop) Air-combat menouvers with radar active = 60 FPS (no FPS dropping here either) Pretty cool that technology has come this far, poor-blokes like me can now pilot a full fidelity F-18C Hornet in multiplayer inside virtual reality world and a 3D cockpit Oh and he mentioned in the Video something about Snapdragon and changing the Codec, don't do it, atleast my machine crashed horribly! See you guys in the virtual skies - fly safe

Well, since i don't really want to open a new thread on the related subject. I would like to ask this: In the current DCS version (2.9.19.13478) What is the AIM-54 top speed (in mach) and what would the ideal conditions be to achieve it? (I assume it may vary for each Phoenix model, of course)

The flaps were designed to be able to blow closed if you exceeded their airspeed limits.

Weather mod v1.8.1 for DCS
bandit648 replied to bandit648's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
That sounds possible since I'm increasing the size and resolution of the cirrus cloud textures. I'm about to release v1.9 and will do a performance comparison video on the CWG map for reference.- 362 replies

DCS: AH-64D Screenshots and Videos (NO DISCUSSION)
Gunfreak replied to Sleepy's topic in DCS: AH-64D
First shots of Desert Storm were fired at around 02:50 January 17. 1991 in the middle of the Iraqi desert, fired by Apaches of the 1st Battalion, 101st Aviation Regiment. I did a mission loosely based on this, like in the real mission it was a very one sided thing. I must also say the new George commands are fantastic, no more micro managing everything, it feels easier and more realistic that he can look for trouble himself. And once you’ve made sure there’s only baddies to your front, you make a list of stuff to die, and let George off the leash and you can sit back and concentrate on flying, while George kills every Mofo in the room by himself. -

seems to me that you barely meet the recommended storage requirements (depending on which extra content you have bought): Recommended system requirements (HIGH graphics settings): OS 64-bit Windows 10/11; DirectX11; CPU: Core i5+ at 3+ GHz or AMD FX / Ryzen; RAM: 32 GB ; Free hard disk space: 500 GB on Solid State Drive (SSD) + extra space for paid content ;- 55 replies

Hello, I noticed a bug where I would land next to a river and I would fall through the map despite being on land. I believe the bug is the area in which the water is meant to cover is larger than the physical water shown on the map. I don't have a screenshot but I'll attach logs and track. Noticed my engine dying after a steep dive and large speed gain when I'd try and climb again. Have been keeping the cowl flaps open about 20% at all times to avoid the CYL Temps overheating, but it appears that if you get enough speed it pushes the flaps stay closed? F4U1D didn't have any automated flap management or hydraulics to re-open them? Guess it's on the pilot to remember to re-open flaps after going above 300 knots or cook your engine?
