Access the F7 AWACS menu as soon as you get instructed by Magic (not Wizard, sorry) - you should get a picture of all the bandits accross the mountains. Stick to your waypoints as far as practicable in order for the triggers to activate correctly (so after engaging the Flankers return back to waypoint 2 and orbit until you get instructed to deal with the Fulcrums. Once you've wacked the Fulcrums you ought to be cleared to RTB- meanwhile Dodge 5 will engage the Fencers on the other side of the AO).

Hello everyone, I’m working on a structured aviation project within DCS World, and I’d like to connect with former military pilots or certified flight instructors who may be open to a private conversation. This is not a request for personal coaching. The goal is to build something larger — a structured environment inspired by real aviation (within the military disclosure boundaries) — and I’m seeking subject‑matter experts to help validate and shape the vision. Here’s how it works if you reach out: First, we’ll have a short call to get to know each other. I’ll provide a general overview of the project. If you’re interested in going further, we’ll both sign a basic Non‑Disclosure Agreement. I’ll then share the complete vision and what I’ve put together so far. If we both want to proceed, we’ll define a professional contract together that fits both parties’ needs. There is no financial risk or obligation on your part — you’ll never be asked to put in money, only time if you choose to participate. If you’re curious, please send me a DM and we can set up a short call. Thanks, Delta Chango Alpha

.50 cal recoil in the updated flight model?

Any attack profile demanding a steep angle is their intention, really. It sounds like you're conducting your runs too slow. -
DCS crashes when hard landing on Essex class carrier.
GTFreeFlyer replied to Jexmatex's topic in Bugs and Problems
Land softer. I see this happen all the time in multiplayer sessions with the planes that come in too hard, too fast, and/or not at the right attitude. The tail hook does get damaged easily and parts fly. I’ve had a few bolters myself where I left my tail hook on deck I’m not sure yet if the parts that fly around originate from the aircraft or the carrier deck, but either way, it’s from a less-than-optimal landing. -
The MiG-25BM SEAD/Bombing instant action mission has a mini-tutorial on the bombing procedure in the description. If you are using the RB instead of the BM, you can open the mission in the Mission Editor (the file is located in the Missions\QuickStart subfolder of the main mod folder) and remove the SAM site in order focus on the bombing. Also inside the main mod folder there is a Tracks_Tacview subfolder that has a track file of the mission, though due to the nature of track files, the bombing might not be as accurate as in the originally flown mission (especially depending on the DCS version), but the procedure is the same. The crucial aspect to a planning and flying an RB or BM bombing mission is navigation - setting the waypoints and altitude in a way, so that you can reach the appropriate altitude (around 19-21 km is optimal), the appropriate speed (around mach 2.2-2.4 is optimal), and appropriate direction at the appropriate distance from the target waypoint (around 100-120 km is optimal), so that when the autopilot is activated it has enough time to stabilize before reaching the bomb release point (the exact range depends on speed and altitude, but for the optimal altitude and speed it's around 40 km from the target). Hope this helps!

It would be really cool for the MC-130J to have the ability to carry fuel bladders and then land on on a road or austere location where you can establish a FARP to refuel helicopters. Or to land to execute personnel recovery.

Don't think 120 has been cleared for the Super yet. It's still an option on my light in this latest version.

I saw one on eBay yesterday when I was price checking the G2. I think it was $75 USD. Most of the used G2's were $150. Shipping to Australia though might be a problem to as shipping costs are high. Maybe look on the used market in Australia. I think I have V2 R2, or something like that. I don't recall exactly. Found it, ships to Aus too https://ebay.us/m/WZwY8m

What a pissy bunch. I think I painted ED in a very favorable light. I bet you didn't actually watch them. Its' possible I got something wrong. I wasn't there at the time and was trying to piece it together. I reached out to you you and asked if you'd like to sanity check my script but you didn't respond so I assumed you were too busy. There is nothing about PTO in the video, I was just expressing an opinion. The rest of your bable has nothing to do with the videos. I never said ED had the resources to do a full blown WWII sim. The whole point of the video is that ED picked up the pieces from a mess and tried to clean it up the best they could You might try looking at the video you are pontificating on. Do any of you guys put your brain in gear before engaging your mouth? -
Not off topic, which it did, and I removed a day's worth of messages talking about VEAO theories and gas purchases. Please stick to the topic, everyone.
-
Yes well i can definitely understand why third party developers might have money issues... But ED isn't exactly scrounging for capital.

Well, that was... something... Honestly, aside from what I assume was AI-written and voiced text, it gets many things wrong or makes reaching assumptions, perhaps based on research from ChatGPT? I am not going for a point-for-point rebuttal as this is old, old news, and I have enough going on without reliving past speedbumps in the winding highway that is DCS. SD is correct, we have been thinking about PTO for a loooooong time, Marianas as a free map with a WWII version was planned ages ago, so no, do not drag us into anyone elses story, the world is not that big and conflicts happened in many locations that games will overlap, we do not try and stop anyone from making their own vision of any particular theater. The P-51D was what was supposed to become a Flying Legends collection in DCS, modelling some of the most epic warbirds of that and other eras. RRG came along and wanted to create an all-encompassing ETO theatre, when they saw that much of their Kickstarter went towards the first aircraft, which started the death spiral. That first WWII fighter will make or break a 3rd Party, I think, in many cases, they are more difficult to model correctly (at least when it comes to flight modelling). We never had the manpower to do a full-blown WWII sim. We picked up the pieces the best we could, and we have what we have now. With the F4U coming and the Hellcat being a favourite of the boss, a dip into the PTO theatre just made sense. If we do a Zero... oh my, while other games could do many different Zeros, our version, if we can, would be... epic. Anyways... Let sleeping dogs lie, I will leave this video here and open, but not sure I care to see anymore here I know how it ends. -
I noticed from Calvin's YouTube video that the 120Hz option is no longer available? I've been using 120Hz/Half Frame/TAA/MB QV and Companion with a smooth 60FPS. Does this mean in future only 90/72 or only 45/36 at half frame?

I apologize if this is in the wrong area. It's not a bug I'm posting about, just a "problem" I'm having. I must be missing something simple. I tried doing searches here but didn't find this question/topic. In F1 view, when I roll the scroll wheel forward, I get a zoom in, moving closer to the panel. In F2 view, I get the opposite direction of movement... transposing backward, moving farther away from the aircraft. I'd like the movement to be consistent, whether it's a zoom or a transpose, as I switch between the two views often. I'd appreciate any help I can get on this. Thanks in advance, Mike dcs.log

Yes, mag deviation changes with date I prefer to stay in MK mode for accuracy
-
For one, it's not a turn fighter so stop flying it like one? Get altitude. Dive down on your opponent. Hit him and run. That's the basic play book for just about every warbird in DCS except the Spitfire and maybe the K-4.

Not sure where to report this bug, but the SAMP/T Complex is not effective against drones, missiles or airplanes. So I've put together a simple test mission on the Caucaus Map with the Ground 300 radar, both kinds of command trucks in Missile Engagement & Mission Command, and some launchers. Anything else I needed to add? Thanks. SAMP-T Test.miz

Okay, I saved the Track so that works out. I had to split it into 2 volumes though because of the 50mb limit so download both files this one and the one in the next comment I make . Let me know if the file doesn't work and I'll upload the track over in the DCS User Files instead.
