  2. You would think after how long this has been and ED stating that eventually these planes will be deprecated (from their latest statement about them trying to ensure them to stay function only up to 2.9.X), that ED would provide an actual reason for why they chose and are continuing to choose to not pay the third party developer. If the modules we purchased are going to be deprecated because ED is not paying RB then I think we should at least know why ED chose this route of not paying their third party. Otherwise what accountability and trust can we have in ED? I don’t think it’s crazy to ask to know why a product will be end of life. ED thanks us for passion and support, just please try to earn it for a large portion of the community that has been soured by EDs handling of this issue. I’m not demanding anything. I’m simply asking ED to show they actually care about a customer base that has felt abandoned by them and their decisions.
  3. For a combat sim, it's not bad at all. Most rotor heads are into the Apache and Kiowa side of things I would imagine, and a smaller amount lean towards the Mi-8 and Chinook. But the C-130 is about to come out, so the transport side of the side of the sim is about to get a huge bump. The Chinook is bound to get more attention, and if the Mi-8 gets some love, I'll be very happy. The issue, as with all things DCS, is time and money. Pretty much guaranteed we'll see more transport choppers, just a question of when. Also, they have to be interesting enough to sell in order to be profitable enough to make. I'm not sure how many transport helicopters will hold enough attention to be worth making. For the time being, I definitely see the glass as half-full.
  4. Just hold the stick full back and give it some differential aileron if you're drifting. If your landing technique was good you'll slow down to taxi speed in no time.

  6. Hello, The rudder axis command has disappeared from the list. The roll command doesn't work. I can't turn the front wheel even with keyboard commands (F16, F14, M2000). And this with the latest updates and a complete reinstallation to date (August 6, 2025). Do you have a solution? Is a fix planned? Thanks Raymond

    Colors

That depends strongly on what exactly you do with it. If you keep it light and only (e.g.) use basic color correction it is barely noticable. If you use more intrusive options like fake HDR or somthing like this, the main problem is that people tend to overdo it. The charming thing is that you can turn it on and off instantly and see changes in realtime. As I said, I mainly use it to compensate the atmospheric haze (sharpening+contrast) and de-saturate the whole game slightly. I'm not sure, but I would bet that there is a plug in to adjust singular base colors (green!) one by one. But I haven't tried such wizardry yet.
  8. The DCS list of transport helicopters is just sad why not aw-101, why not bell-412, uh-60 or better sh-60, nh-90, Lynx ? Why not at least upgrade mi-17 while it with ch-47 is only two usable for SAR?
  9. Are you a third party developer ? only I am wondering how you know.
  11. If only it were that easy (in general).
  12. Thank you very much everyone.

  15. It's just another little hidden dig at ED.
  16. If the joystick supports it: Might as well bind the stick lever button to Autopilot Disengage and the stick lever axis to Both Brakes It gives no issues airborne and no issues on the ground
  17. Show me an AI that can generate a textured 3D model that's usable in a game. This task is orders of magnitude harder than making a 2D drawing, and training data is much more sparse, not to mention not easily extracted from free content. In fact, this is the very reason why 3D models are more often sold than offered for free. There's also no easy way to steal 3D work, since 3D previews are a rarity, and most models are showcased via 2D images. That's before you factor in very specific requirements for models to be used in a game engine. As such, I don't see LLMs ever being able to do much useful work with 3D. Sure, an artist could figured out some way to use them, but a lot of legwork will remain to be done by hand. There seem to be some AI model generators, but I'm not sure how they work in real world use cases. Even if they create passable models for static renders, they're unlikely to be easy to convert to something that can be used in a game. I don't call that top tier content. That humans have made similar slop doesn't mean it's worth anything. It may make it possible to churn those out quicker, but it's a long way from the top. As of recently, it's being used for SFX in a proper movie, and it supposedly shortened some work that's tricky to do the traditional way, but that doesn't mean an indie director is going to be churning out the likes of Avatar. It can be a good tool, but only in hands of an already good artist, used for speeding up some tedious technical bits.
  18. I'd love to see ED and its partners offer a paid upgrade version of some modules for customers interested in funding the resolution of immersion-breaking issues or encouraging the introduction of new features. A list of potential modules and a customer survey would be helpful. Most of the upgrades would certainly be a success (ATC, Dynamic Campaigns, Terrain improvements). Let's be clear. I'm not saying what's been done so far isn't good, of course. Excellent modules have been produced so far, and ED has delivered on all its promises over time and beyond (see F18, F16, A10, Wardbirds, the fantastic Supercarrier module, the weather system, etc.). However, in my opinion, there are areas that need a boost.
  19. Today
  20. The Oasis driver which will negate the need for the WMR Portal should be coming later this month, the only downside is just for nVidia GPUs: https://www.roadtovr.com/oasis-wmr-driver-release-date-microsoft-pc-vr/
  21. There are no stupid questions, only stupid answers. From the ASC website: "Upon purchase, you'll receive your license code via email within minutes. You'll use this code to instantly activate your C-130J when it's released."
  22. I'm afraid too! I ceased buying modules in fact. Each new one introduces tons of issues that I'll will never see fixed. All of them (ED, UgraMedia, & co.) had better propose a payware enhanced version of their modules for those customers interested in financing fixing those issues instead of releasing tons of new aircrafts and terrains. Surely most enhanced versions would be a hit (ATC, Dynamic Campaigns, Terrain enhancements). I'm not saying that ED is not doing well, of course. So far they have produced great modules and have fullfil promises (see F18, F16, A10, Wardbirds, the great Supercarrier module, weather system, etc.). However, in my opinion, there are areas that need a boost.
  24. i think what it is, is that now the kopp message doesnt go away automatically. you have to press the reset button to get it to go away. but the actual fix still works
  25. AI might change this. On Youtube I already see some top tier content where people use AI, like this: AI doesn't replace the need for a human contribution to create quality, but it can make the required effort a lot more manageable.
  26. Would it be possible to fire hellfires like in the video? Thank you.
  27. @MiG21bisFishbedL Excellent write up! Word of note, Sidewinders are coming to the MB-339. [emoji6] Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk
