Strangely other modules are fine and maps are fine

Possibly. But even 1 CPU core shouldn't be struggling with stuff like this, I suspect it's more a poor implementation than it is a single threaded problem. You can also see the game struggle to update the list of MP servers, and when initially choosing a role on joining a server with lots of slots. And even when you aren't getting stutters when players join/disconnect during general gameplay, if you keep the score tab/player list open you will start getting them when players join/dc. You can see it struggle to update/refresh the player list. Something causes the CPU to come to a standstill if only momentarily. They could all be unrelated to eachother, but they all feel symptomatic of a single problem imo.

Hopefully, this will integrate far better into the mission computer as the DTC is fleshed out more. Cheers! Sent from my SM-G998B using Tapatalk

So I spent some time adjusting the SKP file from Ausmumbles and I've sent it off to a local CNC shop.... Just waiting for them to get back to me with a price..... Who knows, maybe this time next week I'll have a Tomcat jigsaw to play with!!

Guess we won't see improvements until the server is "completely" multithreaded for these types of scenarios. Like a split between the mission running, the AIs, bombs, missiles and various aspects of the game. And then "the multiplayer technology" that binds everything together.

Hey! Welcome! I personally think its a great idea collating all the information into something that is easy to navigate and use. There is a lot of fantastic information on here but it can be hard to find what you're looking for. I have recently spent a lot of time jumping back and forth looking for particular things that I know I've seen somewhere or other! Open Hornet has a website does it not? Personally have zero experience coding/website building but I'd be happy to chip in with anything that I could help with. good to give back to a community that has given so much.

I stand corrected then. I know the pattern is irregular, while I thought they had stated they would aim for a six weeks cycle. Anyway, I'll hope for you that it comes sooner than later. [emoji6] Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk

Except, that it's not middle way, it's just "realism on" or "realism of" setting. It's same middle way that man and his dog on avarage have 3 legs. Solution is not change realism, but to change enviroment. We will be in same spot with F-100, F-104, Mig-17, and then EF, F-35 and non announced Rafale. People will be asking to adjust them to fit pseudo Fox-1 servers, instead of making one that suit those planes. Like add fictional chaff/flares dispansers on first 3, and/or disable some features of most avanced jets.

Looking at the dates, I wouldn't always stick to the same intervals between patches. However, the goal is once a month (for the bigger one). https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/news/changelog/

I've seen it given false positives in IC checks. In any case, you should perform a full slow repair and change your shortcuts to start from bin and not bin-mt, (they're actually identical, but bin-mt will be removed at some point). I guess you don't do any overclocking neither, right? Have you tried different maps/missions? Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk

I was wondering if there were any procedures for using the NAV lights for start-up, taxi, and in flight? I realize this will differ between operators, so I was thinking along the lines of how they were intended to be used, so how the Russian's/Soviet's/WP would use them. Flash on the ground and steady in flight, for example? The same for the landing light? Would this be turned on for approach during the day like western aircraft do?

It does not always make sense, but here are a few things for your consideration: 1. Planes on the ground are notoriously tricky because the logic deciding when the plane is actually destroyed doesn't always trigger there, as there is no final impact. You need either an explosion, a pilot kill or have your opponent eject, to have a kill counted. In other words: people who just remain seated in their wrecked up plane can screw you over here. 2. Head-ons are a bit of a crap-shoot anyway, and doubly so here. The same logic applies, in that your opponent having a singular lucky hit in your forehead will grant him a kill, even if you are both equally dead. You cannot collect on kills once you are legally dead, so only one of you gets a kill. 3. Some multiplayer servers don't actually have a full scoreboard going. It is possible that only losses are counted as well. 4. I don't know what to tell you, why should the - arguably not very important - bit of the multiplayer scoreboard, out of all things, work without bugs?

Hi Kang. Yes I think we find ourselves dealing with a different situation. ED, through they're own admission, have realise that the new AI/GFM has proven to be a bigger challenge than originally thought I believe? Plausibly, the dynamic campaign would trail behind this too, and with 4 whole modules (plus a 5th nearly ready) now gone too, I don't see why a new FC package wouldn't help. After all making modules is what ED knows how to do best. Why not focusing on this strength?

Why hasn't this campaign been updated?

Wait, what?! Humvees?! This is priceless! A true testament to your design and story skills that draw you in real quick. I could've sworn there were Willys larping as MUTTs. I'll be damned! -
I'd point out that ED has previously stated that they had no interest in further pursuing the Flaming Cliffs project, but then, they have released what is effectively Flaming Cliffs 4 in the meantime, so... why not.

Sounds a bit far-fetched. How do you determine percentage? May I ask (not in accusatory, but genuinely curious tone) are you part of the developer team? But let's imagine you were correct with this 20% (which forgive me but I think as for now as a guesstimate) 20% off many yrs of development, would still save us a considerable chunk of time? In any case, to develop a product who's flight dynamics falls under the AFM (advanced flight module) category instead of a PFM, as well as having standard system modelling instead of advanced, I presume would contributing to reduce production time significantly? From there they can always be improved/upgraded to a higher fidelity level (like I believe it already happened for most current FC content).
