  2. It's a suggestion. And I have complained before to ED that they should change the text, and NOT suggest Google. @NineLine @BIGNEWY About time to change it now, ain't it? Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk
  3. Thanks to the advice of an online mate, before taking off I now fully cycle all trim tabs and then set them to 6, 6 and 1. This seems to mitigate the occasional hard right roll on take off.
  4. Ouch! I misunderstood. I thought you meant the post where ED clarified and debunked Enigmas claims. My bad. Cheers! Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk
  5. So, @NineLine, we would love more details on this null
  6. So, what, western RWRs are just magical with perfect bearing accuracy, range etc. Despite many accounts to the contrary? Meanwhile we have evidence that the 29's RWR is blanked, cuz its not really that hard to do. We have pilots and techs saying it worked, and some that said it was broken. I mean its not hard to believe both are true. Parts ran out after the collapse of the SU, even likely in russia. And the few parts that existed likely were held back for actual wartime use. Moreover the SPO-15 worked on plenty of other aircraft with radars, and you want us to believe that for some reason the Soviets "forgot" to make it work with the mig-29.... Sure thing...
  7. In these attachments, the R-27R appears to miss by a lot but still kills the enemy planes. The missile does not appear dsynced to the player launching but does for everybody else. The track file named "Zipper 1-1 TRK" is from Zipper 1-1's perspective. In this track file, his missiles appear to be tracking the plane he fired on all the way until impact. However, the opponents missiles do not appear to track at all but the engagement still ends in a trade. In my track file named "R27T-20250928 etc" the opposite is true. My missiles appear to be tracking my opponent but his are flying in a straight line not tracking me. Despite this, the fights still end in a trade. The track named "R27-1.trk" shows every missile from both players not tracking while they both still get shot down. This was repeated every time in a small multiplayer server made with no scripts or mods. Kill3.mp4 Zipper 1-1 TRK.trk R27R-1.acmi R27-1.trk R27T-20250928-194543.trk

  8. Нашёл видео по TF модификации. Мне кажется, у них там вместо штуки с прорезью, стоит сплошной упор.
  9. Hi Falong here I have had this certain problem with the Jester Wheel not showing up I've had this problem since I bought the product. I've tried repairing DCS and uninstalling the product and DCS itself toggling the "HB UI override) I am on a pc with no VR, and with 32 gb of ram GTX 4090 and a compatible cpu I have set all my graphics to low. The Jester context action is definetly bound to a and on every device I bind it to it still does not work. This is quite a bad module to be honest had it for a long time(1 month) still cannot work properly. I understand it's hard to make something like this but c'mon really? No image sorry will send track file en request
  10. Oh, you're right. It's a new-ish addition and it's glorious. https://youtu.be/oV0oZvng3Pc?si=Krqa8SiYP1--eH4D The clearance guy in the tower also sounds a bit like @Wags. They have made their own small LLM, but they run it on their own server - not client-side, so there is no performance impact for players. You're right that this might not be commercially viable for DCS (i'm surprised it works for them to be honest), but ED could (and should) copy their approach. In a way it is very similar to my proposal, only that BATC have their own cloud-based model, while i propose an API hook at a similar position in the pipeline. In both cases the key is, that the LLM doesn't run the show by itself but is more "informational", while actual decisions are made on the scripted level. I hope ED watch the linked video and get inspirations from it. It's important to understand that such a lightweight LLM like BATC uses will soon run on every gaming PC - either on a few CPU cores or on a cheap, dedicated AI accelerator card. The complex part is not the LLM. The LLM is only an economical hurdle and won't be that forever.
  11. Been years, and surprisingly this still is not fixed. COMM1 button missing on ICP during external views.
  12. Hey Max thanks for trying to clarify things . My apologies but I still don’t see any posts directly saying that Enigma “worked for or spoke on behalf of ED.” I see a few of us referencing two of Enigma’s video’s and that is all. Did I miss something? Thanks.

  14. As for SPO-15, when the mission editor option “automatic” is chosen it will filter out friendly radars. I’ve had great luck with the IRST, I can pick out Mil power fighters up to 30 km. I have one tip I can mention, turn down the gain!!!! Turning down gain doesn’t affect the target marks. Only the interference. So if you turn it down enough, all interference goes away and you only see target dots. Then it’s just a matter of point the IRST scan mode in the right direction, not too hard since it’s a 60 x 30 degree scan zone. You move radar left and right with the left/right scan zone switch. It’ll be in controls if you look for it, top left panel by weapon mode selector.
  15. dd I'm with you. I don't use Google's authenticator. I have an issue with their terms and conditions. But you can use any 2FA authenticator. What devices are you using, and we can suggest a few for you if you want.
  16. @silverdevil Sorry for this thread getting no attention from me recently. Some family issues had arisen and I was called out of town for over a week. Still dealing with assisting family. I have the new drive but don't know when I'll get it installed - certainly not in the next week or so. When I get to it, I'm thinking I may just take the opportunity to do a fresh install of Windows and applications anyway. If needed, I'll return here or repost my issues. Thanks very much for the initial offer of help!

  19. Anyone now if Mag3 is tracking this? We get it often on the vCTF-58 server, mostly because we fly the F4U exclusively. I used to get it once in a blue moon but it is happening more and more. Tonight it happened two times in a row, the other night one of our members couldn't attend our training because it was happening every time he tried to take off.
  20. Sooooooooo I'm flying the MiG-29 since its release ( but I'm still learning it ), and so far I've found out a lot of interesting things ( that I would like to discuss, because that's how I learn, by trial and by discussing things ). But it's amazing! If you deploy the brake chute and then take off again ( or if you deploy it while in the air ), you'll see the cover closed if above 200 km/h , but if you drop below 200km/h it pops open ... only to close again when you pass 200 km/h. The inboard /outboard switch is super strange ... Or, better, it requires careful consideration of what you load and where. I was trying with 2 R-27, 2 R-73 and 2 R-60, mounted with the R-60 on the outboard most pylons. Till you haven't fired the R-27, the 2 R-73 aren't usable. The inboard / outboard switch switches between R-27 and R-60. BUT, if you launch both R-27, then it switches between R-73 and R-60. I guess it's correct , as it kinda follow the air to ground logic, but it expands to the outer pylons too. But it's weird and you need to know about it while loading the aircraft. Super fun and characteristic. The radar is ... well ... challenging. It needs like 3 to 4 seconds to lock anything. I press the lock button and the little rectangle becomes a bigger square, and finally it locks and the full symbology appears. However, it seems that there are A LOT of fake contacts ... like, I've created a training mission, with a single aircraft in front of me, to test, and I clearly saw multiple contacts, vanishing after 3 or 4 seconds ( often after I've tried to lock them ). Is this normal ? I mean, I know , that radar is for sure not the system we have on the Viper / Hornet , that gives a full picture and a nice interference free scope ... but it seems to be a little exaggerated like this, or am I wrong ? I still haven't tried to change radar pulse, repetition and so on, so it might also be that ... but ghost contacts when there's a single aircraft not even that low ( we were both at about 4000 meters ) might seems to be a little too much. I don't know though, maybe it's correct like this. What are you experiencing ? What am I doing wrong ? The IR sensor is not seeing anything ... like ever ... AAARGH. But again, I might be the one not knowing the limitations of the IRST, so at the moment I'm not commenting on that too much, but, are you seeing the same ? I'm still studying the various modes, and I'm also followings Wags and Grim Reaper's videos, so I'm probably missing somehting. The navigation system ... well, I'm still studying that thing ... so for now nothign to say, besides that it's quite complicated. The landing gear can be retracted while on the ground... and it ends as you would expect ... badly. The landings itself seems to be too ... well, easy ( for me at least, I'm not that great with landings usually ), but hey, not arguing about that. Did you had the same impression? The SPO-15 ... this thing screams all the time. Constantly. I've resorted to lower the volume to 0, as it's useless. I saw that it senses my wingman's radar and starts screaming. The issue is that it sense the wingmans radar while the wingman is in it's correct's position at 4 o clock ... So, either my AI wingman starts to move more at 3 o clock , or he needs to keep his radar off! AAARGH. Did you had the same issue ? Also, if the SPO-15 senses anything and the switch is on "ground protection" , that things will starts pumping out chaff and flares ... but if your wingman is in the correct formation position and his radar is on, then SPO-15 will panick and starts dropping chaff and flares. AAARGH!! ( Nice touch: the Chaff / Flare counter only says 60 / 40 / 20 / barber pole ... so again, it's always a guesswork ... nice ) Radar left and right movement ... HOW!?!?! I mean, how do I move it left and right ? That said ... This plane is really fun!
  21. HEVC , Pico 4 , Wifi 1200 mbps , Virtual desktop "The problem is that even before launching, when you click on the desktop shortcut, you can already notice that the game isn’t running properly. When moving the cursor in external views, there are obvious performance issues. If it doesn’t work smoothly on a regular screen, in VR those stutters become extremely annoying."
  22. How? The only option that the DCS website gives me is Google Authenticator. It doesn't show me anything else.
  23. BetAB are terrible now, before they hit their mark, and with 2 you could always destroy the weapon bunker, now even with 6 plenty of miss and not fuzing ones, please revert back to the old ones that were perfect
  24. Drop your DCS log file here.
  25. Some auth data is stored in Saved Games.
  26. BATC will probably not use an LLM, but simply sth. like STT->NLU->Clever Scripting->TTS This is also a very realistic expectation for DCS i think. It could have a small performance impact, but should not be noticeable on modern PCs. Arcade players could always ignore the ATC as they do now assumingly. Wags said that ED would be exploring the possibility of using TTS. Can't remember if he said anything about STT/NLU though... Of course it would also be possible to provide an API to have STT/NLU externally. Similar to what we have now with external STT software. An integrated system would simply be more convenient and robust. All the needed models are open-source and can be used commercially even. The only economical "road-block" - with current hardware - would be the LLM component. That is why i propose to have that as an optional thing via API hook. Early adopters could just use a cloud-based LLM if they want. Eventually every PC will be able to run those LLMs locally for free...
  27. As far as I know, per combat employment manual, all slant ranging is done by either laser or radar altimeter elevation method ( like Mi-24)
