  2. Helmets mess up their hair. I'm a civ (former Air Wing Marine) employee of a company currently working at Davis Monthan with a C-130 unit. USAF Herk bubbas don't wear helmets. Marine Corps Herk pilots don't either. Not even the Blue Angels Fat Albert guys and they are slamming that airplane around every demo. Please get rid of the helmets on the pilot models. You made a beautiful airplane but I just watched Ralfidude's video and it's the first thing I saw because it's the most unrealistic possible. Give them medium reg haircuts (with product) and David Clark headsets. Make it realistic.
  3. I agree with your sentiments, but personally I do feel it should be among the highest priority items. The flight starts on the ground, and ground handling should, at the very least, feel as if it lines up with physical realities. If it feels completely wrong the second you start your taxi, it's very off-putting.
  4. No, the grips don't have the slider (although the wheel can be a substitute if you don't also need an analog rotary), the latching 3pos or the spdbrk switch Closest currently is the virpil cm. No spdbrk switch but the slider can be configured as a latching 3pos.

    Carrier landings

    The few times that I've landed on the carrier, I've been able to catch a wire for the most part. But I have noticed that it takes full pitch input with nearly full nose up trim to get nose angle high enough for a three point arrival on the deck. Seems to fly like a very nose-heavy aircraft with full nose-up trim.
  6. Yeah, the current situation pretty much sucks for everyone. Unless you can move to a country with a stable trade policy, there's not much you can do about it.

    The instantaneous acceleration when they are using the cat shot seems pretty intense. I get a headache just watching it lol.

  9. It looks to me in both tracks you are notching the radar on the enemy Tomcat as soon as it fires a missile. If he's not STT'ed, the track is lost or put into memory. In both tracks, the first missile fired reacquires you using it's own onboard radar and then either doesn't have enough energy to reach you, or runs out of battery power.
  10. The Maverick isn't really maneuverable either, so make sure you fire at an acceptable distance within reasonable limits. And like Czar said, you should upload a short track for us to see what's happening.
  11. CPR is Central Priority Rendering (tick box in the Pimax PLay settings), but it appears it might be making IL2 crash.
  12. Yeah...maybe that's the case. This whole situation is gonna suck. I hold very little hope anyone would think it makes sense to be making FS peripherals here in the US. Besides maybe guys in sheds making them like the guy that does the Rhino FFB stick. As it stands, home-building one of his kits may be the only way to get a decent FFB. I was looking forward to Wingwings offering, but unless Tuesday brings tacos and good news, I doubt it will be worth buying it with tariffs added on to the price.
  13. 1) Set a waypoint/tacan steerpoint 2) Set runway heading 3) Break as normal, pull until you reach desired reciprocal heading while at desired distance from courseline. Use the distance from courseline indicator (it is in the bottom right of the HSI after 1 & 2 have been set. (You may need to add/substract from your desired distance if the tacan station is not directly on the runway) That's it... no fancy methods required.
  14. Pretty sure I’ll purchase, it will be interesting to say the least. Somewhere waaaayy down the line, I would actually like to see a ‘H’ model (UK equivalent being the ‘K’). Good ‘ol’ steam gauge cockpit! Bring it on!
  15. Most likely because when you hold down half action the radar runs automatic gain control, ruining your perfect gain setting and hence the contact dropping. If thats the case, it is intended behavior.

  17. dcs.log-20250802-225526.zip Restatred my PC and attempted to launch as 'Administrator'. Its still a no go.
  18. Since the update I just did, I cannot gte DCS to launch. The splash screen opens. Then I click "Launch DCS". Then nothing. I repeat the issue 6 more times like an insane person. Has anyone else experienced this?

  20. If you made your own mission. Make sure that the radio presets are correct. I have my flight on radio 1 and carrier on radio 2.(I think historically it's home base on 1) but make sure the frequencies match. The Essex ATC is odd. There is a female voice. Waiting doubt would be a thing in WW2. It also seem go give wrong directions. Several degrees off. Maybe it's to place me behind the carrier at a certain distance. But the directions are off by enough degrees. You'd be hard pressed finding the carrier by following those directions.

  23. I've been messing around with CCRP rockets recently and right unfortunately CCRP doesn't work with APKWS. Thinking I was clever I had the idea to manually load it as a standard rocket type but when I do that DSMS shows the station in RED indicating a stores mismatch. So I'm curious how are you loading APKWS as a non-APKWS rocket type without the DSMS error?
