  2. There is, indeed no going back. Here's another cool VR thing. Eject while sitting on the runway and just walk around and marvel at your jet from the outside with the POV of a person-sized object on the ground vs. the usual outside camera view.
  3. A mod manager is basically a script that copy and pastes certain files and keeps backups from the originals. The neat part is, that it keeps track and offers a convenient interface for all of this. The only thing you have to do, is to put your "mods" (altered files) in the same subfolder structure as the files you want to replace. I'm using OVGME, because it does what I need and is very simple to use. Yeah, I get that. But doing it manually got out of hand quickly. Actually, I could've kicked myself for not learning how to use a mod manager earlier.....
  4. Did you try Reflected's "Corsair , How it works" ? Also his other videos (Same place) It's in the Corsair main forum.
  5. Yes and I know that this thread would most likely get moved there like it did. Which is why I bumped it.
  6. In germany we say "haben ist besser als brauchen" which means "having is better than needing".
  7. I think even in the worst case, considering DCS liveries as Microsoft bloatware is just an exageration of bybical proportion.
  8. I have not gone above 12.5 GB even with the Phantom over Germany or Marianas. I agree that 24 GB has better longevity than 16 GB though. If the rumors are true.
  9. I'm sure there is quite more to this and now I have the picture why it is so hard and slow. Anyhow I'd like to learn how to do it myself if there is someone to teach Thanks!
  10. Theorically in September (or October if you are pessimist) this is what they said
  11. You need to open the controls panel and open the axis comands section. Right click on the bindings you have assigned RDR Cursor Switch X/Y and select 'Tune combo axis'. You should see the following box (see below). 'Curvature' changes the function of axis input_value/output_value. When done save your changes with 'OK'.

  13. Getting back into the Jeff and was wondering if anyone has a good method for both generating own ship bullseye positions and recording the position of a bullseye call in the destination page? I guess we have OAP but given that it works in feet some calculations would be needed.
  14. Stock is Sold. Restock shortly available (one Standard Edition from monday on ready to Ship.
  15. Hello, could you show your curvature as I can't imagine what you mean and how to reproduce it? Thank you!
  16. Beautiful aircraft but after update it's very hard to manage engine. Is there a good tutorial out there?
  17. The Jeff can’t do MGRS. MGRS is a western / nato reference system, whilst the Jeff is a Chinese/Pakistani jet. So, you do LSS to capture the jtacs laser. I think on some servers the JTAC uses the right reference system for the Jeff automatically if you spawn in one. But I forgot where
  18. I assume the choice of seat was two fold, i.e. SimReality were I believe primarily focused on the racing sim market As the units can put you at some somewhat unusual angles, being fairly well held it is probably rather prudent, especially so as they're demonstrating the units. Imagine if a customer fell out and hurt themselves? Personally I use a seat from an older (NB) MX5, which I find much more comfortable than say a race seat, cost peanuts and makes me smile having owned three of them.
  19. Do you use "enable afterburner gate" special option? For other problems remove mods, perform DCS repair and upload your dcs.log.
  20. Hello everyone, I would like to propose the possibility to give units (ground and naval only) the capability to create F10 marks using sensors (radar, optical or passive) and troops upon LOS only for enemy ground or naval units. This will allow editors not to use scripting for marks on the map. For example in the trigger list: Once -> unit xxxx detects enemy -> create f10 mark Thank you.

  21. Well, for a starter, you would likely have to model them in blender/3ds first. After that, you have to give them some collision model so you don't fall through. And then, you can use either existing invisible FARPs for resupply, or try coding it as a FARP directly. However it seems like there is a size limit. If you make it too big you might get weird shadows. There's also someone who built a ramp for DCS, so if you experience weird glitches with the collision model, perhaps that ramp has something special, if you need guidance.
  22. Thanks for the support. It feels like a grind and takes an age, nice to know folks enjoy it.
  23. Tor and sa10 can shoot down big gbu31's since a few updates back, that i know for sure. But the Gbu 38 will go trough defences
  24. Nobody has found a solution yet. And they have tried! So, I'd say that currently the answer is "no, unfortunately not"! Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk
  25. What would you look for in case 3 anyway when you're supposed to be glued to the instruments? If you overflew the carrier due to bad approach it's easy to do 180 keeping steady bank, speed and alt. Then you do the same 5 miles downwind and you're back on the same course. You have to decide before if you do ACLS (you use data link then) or manual using ICLS. TACAN points you to the mother but you set the HSI course to the final bearing number so you can line up miles before trapping. SC guide contains good follow up on procedures so you don't just start your approach from anywhere. You get your distance, alt and bearing from mother after inbound call. Why trial and error and come up with your own "gaming tips" when all is there already proven IRL?
  26. I'm sure they did but two days searching bare no fruit on that matter that's why I'm asking. So it is not possible or no one knows how?
  27. Confirming, was in a higher energy state than AI FW190 A8 as I was several thousand feet above it and yet it flew faster in a climb than I was flying towards it in a dive. The only way I caught up to it was because it started attacking B17s. We were also at an altitude where the A8's performance drops off significantly. Sadly, I have no recording.
