    I'm pretty forgiving about map update cadences but, the cadence on Sinai has been truly awful and that has no doubt soured the view of OnReTech for many virtual pilots. Orbx proved it doesn't have to be that way and love or hate Kola, the update cadence has destroyed the competition including ED themselves with only Ugra coming close. Do I think the Balkans is a worthwhile map for DCS? Absolutely, but ORT needs to pull their finger out if they wish to have the full support of the community at early access. This may be the first map I pass on EA for.

    Very very cool...but can you please tell us, what we can see on these pictures? Are these mountains only the Alps or some mountains on Balkans too?

    CPU struggling. Can be caused by the unoptimization with DX11 as Raven pointed above. CPU bottleneck is not always steady frames. I'd say is most often uneven spiky frames than it is steady. Source: Experience with gaming with absolute <profanity> CPUs throughout the years. (That is no more, gladly) A remedy to this is to cap the framerate to something that you know your hardware + Sim will achieve 99% of the time.

    Sorry friend... it's still happening. 10 degree celcius Normandy. About 70% maximum weight. Take off from ground. Worked perfectly hovering at 20 feet. Flew a few kilometers as pilot and then slowed to 0 knots 20 feet in a clearing. Trimmed it stable. Switched to the front seat and despite the ordered altitude set for 30, George raised me up to about 110 feet and would not sink back. The issue is occuring mid-flight and never on take off. I tried for an hour to grab a track file but it always happens (IF it DOES happen) later in the flight making any file I save useless.

    Let's say that on my little own I substantially agree... Decimomannu training and exercise area in Sardinia seems "too far just a little bit" even to be, but... oh, to be fine, it's fine. Just we can get it soon, let's see what and how many goods has it in. With best regards.

    There are lots of posts and threads on this subject, so apologies if I'm not up to speed. I thought that the airplane either gets the slant range from the laser, or else, computes it trigonometrically with radar altitude and body angle. Now we're back to having to input some target altitude in the DTC, but only in MP? I thought that was previously fixed.

    With the East, they added some real FOBs and PBs. Daysie, Clark, Thunder, Gardez for instance, and they look fantastic. Zoom in and you will see a little green triangle where these are. null

    It means you have it set optimally meaning you use your hardware for what it's made for.

    I changed to a better mobo, got the largest ssd as the main drive, with the dcs installation on it, in the PCIe 4.0 slot, and I finally finished the mission. I still need to get a largest ssd, as I'm running out of space, but looks like I can finally move on with the campaign.
