lack of suitable evidence SPO-15 is way worst then it should be.
Muchocracker replied to LaCiKa's topic in Wish List
ED's claim in the manuals is that it specifically cannot blank out the radars HPRF waveform. My question would be then is does the forward hemisphere not get disabled when the radar is in persuit (MPRF) mode. Somebody will need to find evidence to back that theory up. ED seems to have modelled it as just disable it with no nuance. Instead of disabling it depending on what waveform it's transmitting. Details matter. -
So you get "nails"? If yes, then assume that you are being targeted. If this helps in any way, that is.

Today I noticed that the Redfor AWACS’s BRA callouts are broken, while the Bluefor AI AWACS works fine. Redfor AWACS’s BRA callout range is off by over 100 miles and altitude off by 20k or more. The contacts bearing is called correctly thought. At I first thought this was a bug related to the new MiG-29 module because loading into a Bluefor F-16 or F-18 had correct callouts from their corresponding Blue AWACS. But switching an F-16 to Redfor and the AWACS BRA would break again, or conversely, switch the MiG-29 to Bluefor and the callouts would be correct again. This was tested on Syria, Germany, Kola, and Afghanistan with the F-18, F-16, and MiG-29 from cold start, hot start, and air start, but the behavior remained the same. Switch E-3, E-2, A-50, or GCI units made no difference either. Only changing coalitions fixed the AWACS.

Yeah, I agree. I'm already to the point after having the module for about 24 hours that I'm done getting whacked by SAMs and AAMs. It simply isn't much fun to start up, take off, fly to a mission objective, and get thwacked without ever knowing it was coming. I play Retribution offline almost exclusively, and even with careful mission planning, it just isn't much fun to fly the -29.

Honestly…. I don’t know haha. I came from a G2 which was doing very well for me. FOV never bothered me. In the F18 with both headsets I can see just to the bottom outer edge of the canopy side mirrors with both sets. Never really minded on G2 and don’t mind now. Probably will order the ultra wide module for the headset and see if I prefer the extra FOV but I must say the 57PPD is so clear, it’s like I’m sitting in the cockpit. Don’t have to lean forward for a god damn thing, as clear as RL to be honest… it’s wild.

Both throttle of F4E and F14 are too sensitive
Moose_Jaw replied to LuckyArc3's topic in Heatblur Simulations
null@LuckyArc3 Hi mate, maybe set the afterburner detend from 70 to 80. It might help you with your problem that the throttles are too sensitive below mi power. Cheers -
The issue seems to be the full sized HAFU disappears but the 75% SURV track stays. Then the new radar contribution circle overlaps on top of that SURV track symbol. I only observed it happening in Track While Scan. I'm on vacation so i havent been at my PC to see if the issue still persists and in what fashion.

Dudikoff agree with your point in principle, its probably not that high though, alot of community are rivet counters ( I will add i'm not, its a game etc etc but i do like to be able to do the basic's when it comes to damage and being able to control the systems, i mean it is a "combat" sim after all). I think my primary concern is the fact we have this clear distiniction in the manual of not available, and not available yet. Being able to turn off the fuel to each engine i would say is pretty elementary stuff, and makes me wonder about the overall damage model etc and the model behind it. As i say its about branding this as full fidelity if the manual is correct and these systems won't be available. Thank you for your feedback on the thread.

Та не, с игровым мануалом все ок. Я искал то, что есть в доступе и на которое все ссылаются. Но нашел пока только англоязычное.

Wags showed the wrong switch in his video. Please use this one: @BIGNEWY maybe this should be corrected! -
ПО носкам очевидно, и это уже выше Fighter 29 подтвердил. Но про закрылки я на скрине ничего не нашёл. Они просто от скоростного напора убираются, причем тут СОС?

Not sure what's happened, but the kneeboard on the pilot's knee in the Hornet has become super low res to the point where it's unreadable. Pics/track to follow. This is on Sinai map currently, haven't check others.

Pantsir and Tor M2 shoot down Hellfires
void68 replied to Ian Boys UK's topic in Currenthill Asset Packs
SA-22 destroys everything that's in the air. I dropped 6x MK82 (pair, 3 RP) and one missile killed all of them at 1500ft distance due to its probably nuclear warhead . Another instant was 2 GBU-38 dropped in short succession at about 4nm with the first acquiring took about 5s for the first GBU38 to get intercepted (with direct hit and no blast damage to the 2nd, no nuclear anymore?) and then the 2nd missile launched immediately upon destruction against the 2nd GBU riding in the first's shadow. GBU38 were sometimes acquired as fast as 2s, sometimes as slow as 5s, sometimes immediately. The missile operator is a very fast guy. Settings was veteran. This thing is completely over the top. -

Can we expect the Hornet (and a few other recent out of EA planes) to get a 3D scan and render with quality like the current F-4E and now the Mig-29A? Are there any plans to update these models?

Always had a fight getting it to work correctly. In my notes a screenshots I saved, I have that highlighted so it must be important

My resolution is set for both screens, but I didn’t check “use system resolution”, so that’s probably it. I’ll try when I get home. Thanks man, I was hoping it was something stupid on my part.

Huge Props for the MiG-29 Tinted Helmet Visor!
YoYo replied to Astralox65's topic in DCS: MiG-29A Fulcrum
The work was certainly interesting in several respects (animations, 3D effect, some degree of reflections), but as a whole it only lends itself to one change and should be treated as a problem to be solved. Most likely, the creator of this particular part never wore a helmet or used a visor ;P. The visor isn't intended to hinder the pilot, and in its current version, it would become downright dangerous. The idea is cool, but it requires tuning. Fortunately, it's just a texture tweak. - Today

MiG-29 - The good, the bad, and the ugly
Volator replied to av8orDave's topic in DCS: MiG-29A Fulcrum
For SP, maybe. However, a new sort of GCI has been promised by ED. In MP, good squadrons have GCI. The MiG-29, like all other fighters, was not meant to fly lone-wolf. That is one of the issues with how we use to play MP in a very unrealistic way. Join a virtual squadron, you are not going to regret it. -

Thanks. HB has released for Viggen, and hope Tomcat is next.... Anyway, thanks for the hard work -
