reported Countermeasures dispenses all chaff flares
Viral-51st-Vfw replied to chuckd's topic in Bugs and Problems
Sorry I thought you meant you were getting nails in auto and it was dispensing. To confirm, you're saying with no nails, in auto, you dispense? I'm unable to repro in free flight miz. free-flight-auto-no-dispense.trk -
Sometimes when staring at the F10 map in flight, I return to the cockpit and find my aircraft in an unusual attitude, especially in warbirds even when I think I had them trimmed well. I think a small artificial horizon in the corner of the F10 map would go a long way, kind of like what a TGP has in the corner as well. Thanks!

Anisotropic Filtering: You have it set in both game and Nvidia driver pick one do not use both.

I want a refund for F15E. Probably won't get it because their egos are too big. Won't ever buy RAZBAM ony any other flight platforms.

reported Countermeasures dispenses all chaff flares
nts76 replied to chuckd's topic in Bugs and Problems
So, with no threats it is supposed to start blowing off chaff and flare until it runs out? That doesn't seem to make any sense and it's not how it has functioned in the past. Maybe the old version was in error but this new set-up seems even stranger than before hand. -
There are 2 things that I find kind of implausible with regards to the behaviour of systems in the Hornet, here is the first one. The Dispensor switch has 3 positions: OFF-ON-BYPASS What I find not very plausible is, that when I turn it ON, let it do all its self-tests and then turn it to BYPASS, because....well I come to that later.... But let´s say, I turn it back to ON subsequently, it goes through its selftest again and then remains in STBY mode. Now why do I find that unplausible?: The bYPASS position is a position beyond the ON position, so I would consider it a submode of it being ON. Apparrently you can release Chaff/Flare, so it must be on somehow. Why do I find it annoying?: Let´s think about what the usecase of the BYPASS position might be... There are 2 that come to my mind. The first one is an "items check" during the Fence-in in order to check if C/F dispense correctly. It is kinda´hideous that after that you have to go through all the button presses on the EW page in order to set your desired progarm...let aloe the waiting time for the self-tests. The other use case would probably be training sorties, where you don´t want to dispense that many C/F on every press, but chust want to do it for the purpose of training, but therefor rather more often per sortie. Do I have proof, that my claim is correct, and switching fom BYPASS to ON should not trigger the self-test and simply return to it´s last state? No. I simply think it would make more sense. Clearly you dont. What part of confidentiality, especially in business don't you understand?

F-14A/B Flight Model Tuning - Guided Discussion
Rhrich replied to IronMike's topic in DCS: F-14A & B
Snort quoted Grumman employees who said it was a 13 g airplane and claimed that he had done 13G. The are plenty of claims of over 11g without any structural damage. In fact so many that I would say it’s verified. Before they had a g-meter that the pilots couldn’t reset it was apparently common to treat the Tomcat as a 9G airplane. Back in the old days we treated those limits more as advisory. In any case, it’s clear that both the 6,5 and the claimed design of 7,5 was more about longevity and an effort to reduce maintenance than concern about structural failure. That does not mean I don’t think a pilot in a stateside LFE pulling 9Gs isn’t a douche, but I would recommend and commend him for doing so to evade a missile over soviet backed <profanity>whole countries. -
Quad-Views-Foveated causes a significant drop in frame rate.
EX_AI replied to EX_AI's topic in Virtual Reality
No, you misunderstood what I meant. What I mean is: When QVFR is turned on, the picture in VR becomes blurrier than when it's off, and this isn't an isolated case. As for DLSS, I've always had a positive attitude towards it. Apart from some motion blur, it hasn't brought me any negative changes. I use a Quest 3. When I was using the 4060Ti 16G, QVFR worked really well. This problem only started to occur some time after I upgraded to the 5070Ti. -
Formatting update: Most VR content has moved to https://www.8492sqdn.net/guides/vr/ so that it can be reused for other sims (Falcon, etc.) - there are links back and forth between the DCS page and the VR page where appropriate.

Probably because, once again, legal counsel has told them to keep quiet. Also, if IP infringement weren't involved, this would've been over long ago.
-
if is that so, then a clarification is indeed needed. Is easy to resolve: "Those 3rd party listed here have signed the file sharing program with us:" " Those modules listed here are included in the file sharing program" They can just add " Everything is subject to change" if they feel more confortable. But at least is something we as customers can ask for informed payment decisions within ED Store. Knowing nothing is granted in the mid-long future. But at least we all can know ED have those files from those developers if the worst case scenario someone are not able to keep developing the modules.

DCS completely freezes on main menu right after the initlal loading screen
EX_AI replied to Vnavspeed's topic in Game Crash
My computer has two M.2 drives, and I’ve tried reinstalling (the program) on both, but neither worked well… The problem isn’t here. I recently tried disabling core parking, which did bring noticeable improvements. However, there are still occasional intermittent freezes, and a new issue has cropped up: occasional frame drops when moving the mouse. This can be fixed by restarting the game. (Forums point out that this issue stems from mouse polling rate, but I never had this problem before when using a 1000Hz polling rate.) -
I don't get it. We've got one side saying it's completely over, giving heads up on the situation throughout the conflict and giving a full on explanation to most important details of the agreements both past and the most recent one mentioned yesterday, being open to community questions and literally showing receipts for being ready to cooperate instantly and share the updates and escrow. The other side is hiding behind supposed confidentiality, dodging every single in-depth question and even deleting their own statements from social media, sharing messages that contradict each other and dropping their main claim which I don't think anyone believe by now with all that IP infringement trouble.
-
It technically isnt incorrect, its just very misleading. It absolutely should be made explicitly clear though as there is no such thing as too honest.
-
Why is so hard to understand? Right now there is an official statement: "To avoid such issues in the future all 3d party are now required to make the game files available in case they are no longer able to support their product" It seems "incorrect" as far as i know today. So i want a CLARIFICATION from ED for this official statement about what 3rd party products are under that files sharing contract and what products are not Im not asking about what could happen in the next 20 years, or any future guarantee for life. i want to know as we know what 3rd parties are in the ED miles program and what developers are not, what 3rd parties have signed that file sharing and what modules are involved within. No so hard to provide from ED as we are costumers after all.

AN-AAQ-33 - Maverick not staying boresited with TGP
swartbyron replied to swartbyron's topic in Bugs and Problems
Thanks for replying TMS down dose indeed work to bring the Maverick back on track. This step wasn't needed with the previous TGP and now seems to be an extra step that needs to be taken before shooting a maverick unless flying straight and level. Comparing the behaviour of the Maverick when the weapon page is SOI in both tracks shows the difference between both TGP's clearly. I guess what I'm really asking is if this is set up this way as intended or a bug with the new TGP? -
Changes to the behaviour of net.dostring_in()

next time tell us that 1 second before patch, thanks. -
I'm also wanting to know who Killed Jeffrey Epstien, but I'm not likely to have that information disclosed to me. There's no such thing as a safe module, or any other software, nobody can guarantee this, nothing even in life is guaranteed, except death and taxes, not even the mighty Bill Gates, with his windows upgrades... expectations v's reality can be brutal.

That's what I assume the case may be for the F-15E and Mirage, maybe the AV-8, but I have my doubts about that being the case with the MiG-19. Still, in such case, that's cold comfort because that means *A LOT* of modules can be boned.

Ok, so you don't have injection on. That's a separate key press. So you're maxing out and Military power, not WEP.
