It will be worth waiting for. Once it does arrive we can all live long and prosper.

Protect the leader (Mark) from the enemy pilots! The leader will be carelessly flying around oblivious to his surroundings in his beautiful newly restored Yak-52! Prevent the enemy from shooting him down!

Yeah I prefer J2M but M3 choce to make A6M5 then maybe ED took over it.And Zero can land on carrier. But anyway,I think DCS is a study sim not a game that focus on MP.I want Ki-84 too but as they have chose Zero we have to wait for years to see the opportunity.

julpeuz started following Making some units common with the ETO assets pack ?

Hi guys, Would it be possible to make some of the US units that also served in Europe common with the original WW2 assets pack ? Not an expert on which ship served where, but I always found a bit weird having only Samuel Chase on D-Day missions. And I know for having asked to the concerned campaign makers that adding yet another assets pack required to play a campaign will not be considered given the added paywall. Thanks for considering.

"You also have a huge page file. With 64gb of RAM you don’t need that and could reduce that a lot." How can I settle this? Comment je peux régler ça ?

If you have your CPU, GPU or RAM overclocked try to run at factory settings. I'd also test disk and RAM for errors.

What capabilities should we expect from the F-104?
Bremspropeller replied to Hatman335's topic in DCS: F-104
Weren't there Victors in the air most of the time to support EELs farther out over the North Sea? I mean, it is a compelling AEROPLANE, but the cockpit and it's overall aesthetics are a b-side Monty Python sketch. F.2A out of Gütersloh go brrrr... -

Honestly, budget PC and DCS (or sims in general) don't really go together IMO. You can get away with using an older CPU, but VRAM is a must. Especially if you are considering VR. Personally, I wouldn't get a card with less than 16GB VRAM. 24GB if you are planning to go VR. Despite sims becoming more optimized, they are also becoming more intensive and you don't want to be upgrading GPUs every release cycle.

The Super arrived today minus DMAS, they will arrive later. Ordered 12 Feb so one day short of 6 months to deliver. Early testing shows amazing clarity. I borrowed the DMAS from my original Crystal and that worked just fine. Still exploring software tweaks, but 90 hz produces best frame time over 72 hz.

Another video showing the wing reactions while folded with the engine running. They do bounce around quite a bit with the engine running while folded. The effect on the carrier with the engine off is unrealistic but maybe Magnitude 3 LLC can make it that the wings shake and bounce only with the engine running. Cheers, John

Here's a good in-cockpit video of a F4U in flight. Although it is a non original cockpit restoration, it shows the proper MP gauge operation. You can see the MP gauge (below HSI) is rock solid with no fluctuations. Cheers, John

investigating Takeoff rotation is too slow
RubberDogSh1tOutOfHKG replied to VarZat's topic in Bugs and Problems
I've tested a bit too myself. Never flown the F16 IRL, but I do fly A330 for a living. I've switced from from the Thrustmaster Warthog to the Winwing F16 set with the MFSSB set (no movement, only force sensing). Have flown the F16 in game since launch. The F16 used to feel very easy to takeoff in, but lately has felt very heavy and sluggish. Spurred on by this post I also did some testing myself. And have to agree if you follow the numbers you do get a takeoff as advertised. For me the main take away is that I am not as strong as I thought when adjusting the power sensing sensor inside Winwings Simapp. After some more sensible tuning, and starting rotate around 150ish I can get the aircraft off the ground around 180-190. Watching the replays I note that the first few seconds after liftoff doesn't really register in pheripheral vision, then as you get out of ground effect you get a more sharpish pitch up moment (which is odd as when in Ground Effect you have less drag than when above - perhaps an IRL F16 thing or a DCS thing?) So what I conclude is that there is a smaller pitch up on initial rotation and lift off, but it does actually happen. Before FM change the initial still in ground effect pitch up was more pronounced. So yeah, feels a bit scary zooming towards the end of the runway but flying by the numbers will get you up in the air. -
Would like to see a Video on the upcomming AI George Search options

Yes, because I want to see a couple items cleaned up before creating a video that may soon be inaccurate.
