  2. Yes, I find it a bit frustrating too... But one is a third-party provider, the other is ED. One does it this way, the other does it that way. We have to stick to ED's standard motto: be patient...
  3. Can you (since we already have the helmet) also add a sun visor (on/off) for the player's seat in the C-130J? Of course, this may depend on the type of helmet, but simply putting on or taking off the sunvisor (with a darker screen effect) is also a good option. Some modules have this, such as the F-15E and MiG-29A FF, and other DCS modules will soon have this option. The model: Example of animation from MiG-29: Btw. Of course, it must be VR-compatible, as with other modules. Some also have animation (hand movement). The logic here might be quite simple: - NVG present on helmet - no sun visor (but glasses are possible on/off) - NVG removed from helmet - sun visor present on/off

  4. That video answers it I've seen it and it looks like big old boom, no new effects. They said "brakes arm, all 4"? Maybe that was it?
  5. So see this: They wear them, they wear them. This is evident in most videos related to night flying (due to the NVGs), but not only that, they are also used during the day because of the sun visor as well. For example, Hercules pilots wore helmets in both Afghanistan and Iraq. Of course, I'm not saying that 100% or most flights can be conducted without a helmet, especially in fully controlled and relatively safe conditions, but it's always a protection in the event of a hit and a forced landing. Therefore, it's not a mistake that the ASC designed the crew to wear helmets, although, as I wrote, it would have been nice to have the option of having the crew in the cockpit without them.
  6. Hey, it If it works it works. The 50% jump shouldn't happen in the first place, though, so something's fishy. MFG crosswinds here, set to full linear without curves, deadzones or anything. They modulate smoothly from 0% as they should so I'm puzzled why your Saiteks are acting up.
  7. Just tried M01 of the Apache Outpost campaign and it wasn't a pleasant experience. First off, the voice overs, especially of the pilot, are bad. The pilot's is in fact terrible. But that didn't bother me as much as the glaring mistake in the briefing about the loadout. While the briefing states that you have 2 Laser and 2 Radar Hellfires, in the mission you get 4 Radar Hellfires something that I discovered only after I had engaged the target and being frustrated at George for refusing to change the missile type. In the end, it annoyed me enough to quit. Sure, overall, it doesn't matter much, and I should have checked the loadout beforehand, but one of the reasons I pay for third party campaigns is exactly to avoid immersion breaking issues such as this one.
  8. I think I am looking at the bottom of your plane from this perspective. So, I would say you notched. The first missile is guiding onto you with its onboard radar.
  9. This happens to me as well, and I do not use VAICOM. I noticed this bug as I'm editing a training mission for the Mirage 2000, where you need to have the kneeboard open to reference the starting position when preparing the INS alignment ... everytime the user presses Spacebar to advance on the training, the open Kneeboard will page forward one page ... really annoying
  10. Hello, I'm having a problem with this skin. It doesn't display correctly with AI planes. When they are close to my plane, everything seems fine, but when they are further away, another skin appears instead. Perhaps this issue will help someone. Sincerely, Michael skin-bug.trk
  11. Sounds easy. I `ll give it a try. So in the ME I select Frequenzy for Batumi, then I try the presets until Batumi answers, Is that all right ? And the switch has to show VOICE.
  12. That sounds like you are doing something that requires the use of the HB UI though (for example cold start, crew chief interactions). Those are not captured by tracks and need to be redone manually while the track plays. Otherwise you are leaving the ground with the engines off, hence the aircraft will want to depart down but then gets teleported back by EDs "move on rails" track-system. Which is what leads to visual jitter. Btw, please make sure you test tracks before sharing them. Most tracks (especially if not short and singleplayer) dont really work and then they arent useful for us. Cheers Thanks. If you got some spare time and could redo it on Caucasus that would be very helpful
  13. Just testing in DCS World 2.9.18 and the Brimstone missiles don't seem to show as an option when re-arming. I can find all the other weapons though and they look nice.
  14. If you're getting blue screens of death with DCS you likely have deeper system issues. DCS itself will crash you out to desktop but should virtually never manage to BSOD you unless it's a windows or hardware issue.
  15. Yes I do!
  16. No the issue is that second shot was either not guiding at all (first track) or was guiding and then stopped (second track) - while target remained in the same configuration as few sec before while guiding. For example, what happened here (4m37s into second track)?
  17. Today
  18. Based on Enigma's interview it was originally based on C130 mod but after 2 months of development it was all scraped and started all over again from sratch.
  19. How many modules have you lost? I started with Flanker 2.5, then moved on to Lock On 2, and since 2014 I’ve bought most of the DCS modules. Well, I don’t have VEAO’s T.1A Hawk, but I do own the Mirage 2000 and the AV-8B. These two were really cheap back in the day - that’s the only reason I bought them (I’ve known Razbam since the MSFS days, and their products were very average). When the prices skyrocketed, I decided not to buy any more Razbam modules, because looking at AV-8B, Mirage and MiG-19P... Just meh. And guess whose modules are disappearing now? If you're not sure, don’t place any bets.
  20. Hi YoYo, Just for clarity as in you replying to the guy above saying about US crews, image 1 and 3 are defo RAF lads and helmets (image 3 is clearly lads from 30 Sqn from memory), not sure about the other could be the OTU, it's definately a training flight though as that is defo UK terrain below them. Your last image im skeptical on, don't think its real world the picture looks too professional (re focus lenght/clarity etc) and the terrain through the window doesn't look real world, looks sim as a heads up. Plus again most crew's wear gloves when airborne, not all before the other guy jumps in, but certainly depending on mission set. Certainly it would be normal for RAF crews to be wearing gloves when airborne its just part of the kit even during training flights. But image 2 yea thats US crews clearly, with helmets. You also have to remember with the US, its not just the air force, guard have a large component of crews for people looking at released images etc etc. All i wanted to do was to correct the record from the first comment, which was very inaccurate, especially for combat.
  21. How does everyone feel about the sounds, specifically the exterior sounds? I think the interior sounds absolutely amazing, but the exterior sounds, especially during a flyby, sounds so whiny. I understand the whine is a feature of the j79s, but there's almost no roaring/ripping sound. What does everyone else think about this?
  22. Looking at the DCS log, the DCS crash, and the Windows Error Reports in the dxdiag in the zip I would suggest the following: add a 32768MB min/max sized pagefile to your fastest SSD and make sure it is the only pagefile on the system and the drive still has at least 10% free space after creating it. uninstall ArmoryCrate, or whatever the Asus bloatware is called. check the Asus website for an updated BIOS for your mainboard (important for RAM compatibility, CPU microcode updates, etc) install the latest Intel chipset drivers disable core parking in Windows by following the tutorial here: https://www.dannymoran.com/windows-cpu-core-parking/ disable HAGS, Game Mode, and Core Isolation in Windows, if available consider updating to Windows 11 24H2 (optional) If after all of that, there is still a crash, send the log here and we can look at disabling XMP, and some other stuff.
  23. I have a track of the same thing that happens as soon as the nose-wheel leaves the ground. Of the few MP tracks that work for me, the F-4 always vibrates. I have one track from CCW, and the take-off is shown within the first 10-15 mins, but it's too big for here so I had to upload it to a file hosting site: https://limewire.com/d/3yK3T#kLHyhZKaIY I can try a SP track and see if that does anything.
  24. On July 16, it was mentioned on Facebook, that this fix would not be included. Edit in: And...I already acknowledged this in a few posts above on July 27th
