Hi everyone, I have been playing on the Quest 3 for quite some time. To be able to spot easier, I have switched off all upscaling and AI. My problem now: Crazy amount of shimmer, that starts driving me crazy. (example in the attached video) What can I do to avoid that? Activating DLAA or MSAA just add ghosting and destroys my capability to spot targets properly. Attached also my graphics settings. Would appreciate any recommendations. My System: RTX 4090, Ryzen 7800X3D, 64GB RAM, Quest 3 connected to my PC via USB-C shimmering.mp4

I've been unsuccessful with eye tracking from day one. Calibrations, if I could get them to succeed at all, sometimes took 15 or 20 iterations. Once in game, the performance was terrible and often the eye tracking was jumping all over the place randomly without me changing my gaze. After many hours of troubleshooting with the latest beta 4, I think I found the culprit. My contact lense prescription. I didn't have any issues with eye tracking and my contacts with my Aero. At first I thought it was my multi-focal contacts. Nope, tried a regular fixed-focal set, same result. And, everything was blurry with the fixed focal contacts. Removed contacts entirely. Everything nice and clear. Eye tracking calubrated first try. VR Ootician's web site for prescription inserts states that they "adjust your prescription to be compatible with the VR1." I'm guessing the focal length or whatnot for the VR1 is very short because without any prescription I can't see anything clearly past 24 inches. I had no issues with tracking or clarity with the Aero. But, once calibrated, removing the headset and putting it back on resulted in the crazy, random tracking that basically makes the view seem like it's flickering. I confirmed with the once-again enabled heat map.

I play on that server and it doesn’t require you to download the mod, neither does Heatblur. So there must be a workaround for that perhaps by substituting an official AI aircraft or something. The problem is requiring people to download mods who don’t want them installed, that’s my objection. Whatever is being done there is a better solution. I’m in favor of that. I limited my search to servers with 8 or more players. Probably these aren’t very well attended. It’s quite clear that the vast majority of players online aren’t using mods.

Expanded F-4E Weapons Pack

I would have to test it out again but I believe it does still work with the latest DCS version. If not, I'll have to update it. -

Thanks so much for doing this and keeping it working. Before I install, just wanted to check with everyone here - Does it still work with the latest DCS version? Thanks in advance, I came here for the Standard ARM! BTW, I'd give my left nut for a real Wild Weasel F-4G with all the fancy black boxes and stuff. I get all worked up just thinkin' about SAM's -
I purchased a Quest 3 to hopefully replace my HP Reverb G2. After several forum visits and several videos for tweaking settings, my G2 is by far, better with graphics quality (MFD's for F-18 and AH-64D characters very legible) and on top of that 90 fps steady with low level flying. The only con with the Reverb G2 is the cable and being tethered. I'll live with that, but the Q3 is a major disappointment. It's likely that I am missing a nugget of info to get me the quality and frames I currently have but over the past couple of weeks plus it's too much to sort and troubleshoot.

Aerodrome Data and Frequencies - Updated 06 June 2025

Gotcha, great works! -
At Kobuleti the refueling and AWACS aircraft are spawned with the rear wheels on the front set of marker and front wheel at the turn indicator on the tarmac. this blocks the aircraft from taxing to runway. See attach photo. I would assume another row of cement behind the aircraft to make the turn. This is for the spots 01-21

Have you tried setting your GPU MSI mode ''on'' and prioritized it? Try the little utility attached. 1. Open ''MSI_util_v3.exe'' as administator 2. Find your GPU and turn on MSI mode if supported 3. Set prioity to high 4. Apply and restart It might help also to set everything else's priority to ''undefined'' and only keep the GPU on high. MSI_util_v3.zip

I've never understood their reluctance - women have been flying in the armed forces since the armed forces started flying - sometimes restricted to non-combat roles, but in combat roles too - particularly in the modern age, which is where ED seem to be investing their time and effort at the moment.
