  2. Hello Pluton I had the same problem as you my first day. You need to sync Virtual Desktop with Virtual Desktop Streamer (they are 2 different programs). You will use your Meta Username. It sounds complicated but it is not, and takes like 10 min to set-up it all up. Watch both videos below, they explain everything for you : https://youtu.be/kfoxzgGly3E?si=ZyKoxR1wJnD5NOyA Also watch this one below: https://youtu.be/kfoxzgGly3E?si=SjWpxDIiZfxZahmT
  3. Do we have the ability to program alternative targets for the HARM in the F-16? For example, If I'm shooting at an SA-10 track radar, and the radar goes down for some reason, I'd want to have the HARM start looking for the Big Bird or Clam Shell search radars instead. I know the real AGM-88C has this capability so I'm wondering if this is modeled or not.
  4. i did a finer look at your log and compared it mine on the left are my settings and the left are yours. the red font indicates settings you may change to improve performance. you can make a copy of your options.lua and directly edit the values using a text editor.
  5. This is a great idea. To me it's really bad that the tool is so incomplete that most of the big servers are not using it. That's a huge wake up call to me and a waste of resources.
  6. I am asking myself how the dev use this "debug review system"? For example, the interesting timestamp is around 10 min.... the dev saw a problem and want to review that moment..... do he watch all the 10 mins again and again? I mean.... a simple rewind function would be after all the years something great... isnt it? Not only for devs. We have also longer track replays and no rewing function is just pai.... uncool.
  7. For gaming reasons it's even worse. But I agree, we are off topic and we should stop.
  8. Yes, if it was for me, I wanted to say no new video yesterday because the two last ones were on friday
  9. It wasn't a question of insufficient research, the original Leatherneck dev team simply decided to add it for gameplay reasons, just like UPK gun pods, which weren't used on real Bis either. But it's all too off-topic here and was discussed many times in -21 section of the forum, back in 2014 when module was released.
  10. Like SilverDevil says. You will probably have better luck in the mods forum, and not in the bug section, because it is not a bug. And not even an official module. Cheers! Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk
  11. However, even with Virtual Desktop Streamer, when I launch dcs, the setting remains in 2D. What did I forget?
  12. Thanks for pointing out wrong name, which can only add to suspicion on not enough research when Magnitude decided to use it. Yak-38, MiG-23, MiG-27, MiG-21PFMs and Sukhoi family aircrafts operated kh-23/kh-66 (Zvezda). But not MiG-21Bis, as radar RP-22 is based on fixed beam instead of continues wave (CW). Maybe Yugoslavia upgraded Bis on their own. But I didn't see Grom listed in Yugoslav air force manual for L-17 (Mig-21bis).
  13. To my understanding, that in order for it to be on stream, it has to have a release date. Also Wags has two videos on the Mig already.
  14. Not....theoretically, all variants with RP-21M radar can use Kh-66 missile. So, MiG-21PFM, modernized PF, M, MF. Another thing: Kh-66 never had name Grom, even Kh-23 didn't had that name. Yugoslav variant of Kh-23 produced under Soviet licence had name Grom.....
  15. These look ok. We need to see the bindings of @drspankle.
  16. Today
  17. understood. you may get better results in the mod forum. i just happened to see it and thought i would put in my 2 cents.
  18. Qcumber said You can get a third-party cable with a charging port. Yes, I was talking about this cable, but I didn't realize that you had to plug the charger into the box (dumb guy). Now it's done and it works, thanks. I just bought Virtual Desktop Streamer, and it was a bit of a struggle, and I'm waiting in line for them to install it directly on my PC.
  19. This does not work, just tried it again and definitely not working. Did the restart as it asks after removing module and it just went from a 240gb update to over 340gb because I removed the module. The support team was also no help and they permanently de-licensed a few maps I never use anymore - it still wants to reload them. So I threw in the towel and I just removed DCS and now doing a fresh install to see if this will work. So this is interesting, I have not been counting but been using DCS for way over 10 years, probably closer to 15 and as long as I can remember my login to the forums was a username and now it does not work and will only take an email, and it does not recognize any of my emails probably because it was from a long time ago and I don't remember what email I used that long ago. So I had to make a fresh account to post this question. They say bad things happen in threes so now I'm waiting for my graphics card to take a dump.
  20. That’s actually a problem of the none stereoscopic camera. With two eyes you can look further into the edges than the camera can with its single viewpoint. In VR it’s much better. I guess next to different implementations, it is just a matter of how much excess real estate a given HUD offers. In the A10 it is very little….
  21. I suspect that the AI isn't tightly controlled during replays, and has some leeway it shouldn't have. This causes errors compares to the original flight, errors that will propagate with time, leading to vastly different outcomes.
  22. > This is compounded by a couple factors, including "Strike" giving directions to targets in very uncertain terms ("Bogies to the West", "Bandits flying from Abu Musa") rather than proper BRAA calls. There's a pretty egregious example of this in Mission 14 when the enemy helos take off from Abu Musa about 8 miles from the helos you're trying to protect. The radio call tells you they're at Angels 1.6, so obviously Strike knows exactly where those helos are, but he doesn't give you any kind of range indication at all. A simple "from Abu Musa" or "at 8 miles" would have made it way easier to find these things, I had no idea where to look for them since I know from previous missions that sometimes stuff just spawns in the air hot on you. The entire call is "bandits west angels 1.6 hot." I'm doing my best here given the situation but the lack of SA here still results in a mission fail Tacview-20250906-100250-DCS.zip.acmi - i'm hanging out at angels 20 because based on previous missions i'm expecting a flight of 4 fixed-wings to come try to kill me at any moment - as soon as I get the radio call, I pointed my nose at 270, went to 6 bar scan, and angled my radar down - unbeknownst to me, these things are so close that they're still out of my radar scan - so i crash dive down to angels 4 thinking a nose-on scan will have to see them - but by the time i do that, they're already to my 9 o' clock and i've missed them. i keep flying around and scanning but because i'm scared of AAA on abu musa that limits my movement. never found them by the time they killed my guys Feels very silly to be losing missions to stuff like this.
  23. Hello folks, Currently, I have a i5 10600K, RTX 3070 with 32 GB RAM, which gives me a solid 60FPS on my pancake setup. I was quite content with it until I have made the switch and I purchased a Quest 3 a few months back and I can see that my rig is not sufficient for VR; I can get about 40 FPS at VR graphic preset with 1.1 PD. So, I intend to get a new rig, and I am aiming for a safe 72 FPS to match my headset refresh rate, with DCS graphic settings at High and a PD of 1.5. I am not after getting a top-of-the-line rig; I just need something good enough to meet my 72FPS@High@PD1.5 goal. I've been an Intel/Nvidia fan always, and I wish to stick with the Intel/Nvidia pair. Cost is not a top concern. What do you you guys recommend?
  24. Yeah I don't have a feel for the HARM range yet so I was trying to push it either until the threat ring or until the SA-6 locked me up, didn't realize it was locking my wing (he's a computer and doesn't communicate)
  25. Make sure the default view is in the correct position so that you see the full HUD without anything being outside of the view box. Once the default view is correct, you shouldn't have any issue. Also make a habit to reset your Opentrack view from time to time as it may drift ever so slightly.
  26. I support but it's a wrong subforum for that wish.
  27. In fairness, he never stopped updating this map (and since it's "his" map, he's been the one updating it all along). Razbam was only the publisher and even after they publicly announced they were stopping pushing updates to the F-15 etc, there were still SA map updates pushed.
