  1. Ruggbutt, I am please asking you to stop sending me bigoted private messages and reputation comments. I keep all PM’s and screenshots and will present it to moderators upon request. You are more then welcome to disagree with my posts and my statements. I fully agree to disagree with you. However, there is no room in my hart for hate, racism and bigotism. Best regards,

  2. We are looking for software that will allow the .lom files to be extracted and edited to .3ds. It must support animation, texture and geometry mapping. We have one we are checking on now. If someone knows of any software that will do this, I have great news. Walmis will finish the F15 model but he needs this software to do so. If anyone has any info PM me or Super so we can check it out. It will be payware but this does not matter right now so pass along any info pls. Cheers.

  3. I just tested the F-15 ingame. I went vertical straight off the runway with 30% fuel clean config. It does accelerate verticaly for about 800 feet.past 1300 feet it will bleed off speed. Its still under what we should see but its not terribly off as I thought. Also did high altitude zoom climb in AB and managed to accelerate with dry thrust at 35000 feet level flight. I usualy take the standard missile load and just 1 tank and perfomance difference is apalling. This leeds me to conclude that the only thing that makes it sluggish and causing the horrible underperfoming F-15 we see in missions are the weapons and drop tank drag factors. I had no idea how badly they were overestimeted untill today, even sparrows in smi-receded hardpoints will PWN the perfomance figures. Im am now very convinced that it beats for ED to change these drag values and we are set for high altitude cruise without afterburner all the time. There wont be any complaints about SFM then. :) tracks are included for the 2 test flights I described:

  7. Hajduk I have known Ruggbutt for almost 3 years now, and I have never heard or seen written any bigotted or raciast remarks from him. I have come to respect him as a team member of BSR, a fellow flight simmer, FPS squad leader, and a good friend to just talk to any time. I have known him to stick up for what is good and right. He speaks his mind and knows what is good and true. He has always been there for, not only this community, but a lot more than I can mention. He is a very passionate man and wont let any stone be unturned until the truth is found in any given situation. Now, for you to come out publicly and accuse him publicly like this, is not only wrong, but shows your character is very much flawed. What ever his dislike of you or your politics, he didn't do it openly, but kept it between you and him, like it should be. Now, I guess others will get into the fray and what ever Rugg was seeing about you will be open for all to see. Before one does anything, they should first consider the consequences.

  8. Hi everyone ! I'm Nir from Israel. "28 YEARS OLD AVIATION FANATIC KID" (My wife calls me that) Anyway, finnaly got into the forum after using LOMAC FC for a decent while... I had the chance to see Mnemonic's ---GREAT!!!--- LOVP and currently using it as a standard... Great Job on this one buddy !!!! Its nice, elegant and most of all very - practical-. PRACTICAL ! thats what i'm talking about. I have the microsoft SWII stick for about 4 years by now and I'm had it with this little tiny throttle !!!! So.... I made one ! WOOOO HOOOO ! I hardly had electronical skills at the time and while building it I got myself Involved with lots of Circuits schems and stuff and it really turned out to be usefull (no only) with the projects I made for my hobby... Here's the last of 4 developed projects made of some electronics and materials you can get in your local hardware store... It's a throttle with 24 buttons and total of six axes.(may be used as you like...) Her's the gut's of it ... (gut's !? did I spelled it right??? my English need furnishing I know .... please forgive me for that one...) And this is how I fly today...(my table usually cleaner than that. Its all because of just finishin it I SWARE !!!:D Add to the following TRackIR4PRO and another screen with LOVP and you get the picture.... I'll get more recent pictures, find the old one's of the former projects and upload them in here for you to see how much you can do with almost nothing... Just use the right hand's (pilot's hand are best there are...) and have the right community to share info with (if youre reading ,your'e probably in the right place...:smartass: ) and let you'r imagination and creativity work.... Hopefully,we could all share out knoledge and creativity to enhance out CRAZY hobby experience. BTW This throttle may not be good looking and high fidelity brand . Yet,it delivers high accuracy, its very PRACTICAL and it's damn deadly at the right hands...(I'm still learning how to get bogies 6...) Based on the circuit you can make a stick, a throttle and anything you might want. I'll expand about it later. C'ya pepole around... Nir Bar "Schredder"

  9. 3sqn-fudd, carry over from the old system will be nothing, i have an antec 1080amg case already. dvdrw and thats about it i guess. the old system will remain essentially intact and be inherited by my son. as for when, soon, two weeks, in 2007 :) (think release dates j/k) realistically i would say june/july which is really only a 1 & 1/2 months or so away. pilotasso, the 680i is the one i think i will look at getting unless things change dramatically between now and then. i like asus boards, so i think thats the p5n32-e sli http://www.asus.com/products.aspx?l1=3&l2=11&l3=397&l4=0&model=1459&modelmenu=2 yes that looks nice :) and it say quad core ready. shadow, groove, appreciate the input, you guys are running system roughly equal to the a64 x2 6000 setups, yet you can update the cpu to a quad core cpu later, good thinking. kuky, a man can get old waiting, but i have a little time to spare, i have more than once priced up everything just to see it come and go, then the next big thing hits and then it too is soon replaced by something new :) i would predict a mid to high end core2duo cpu will be the choice. with room to go quad in the future. it will be 2 gig ddr2 possibly 4 i see some games are getting dualcore patches, would be great to have something like this for lomac, as i am sure a core just sitting around would be happy to help run lomac, just imagine how nice it would run then. i wonder if its even possible for some software to convince the game that all the cores are just one big cpu?

  10. yes, my last post, minimum sustained speed in level flight, I think this is what is partialy causing the issues SK and GG are talking about, you cant fly up there without afterburner, I know for a fact that IRL you can. this is why they are saying the plane feels underpowered. I would like to see those charts. Its too bad my brothers F-16 -1 manual is not at home at the moment I would tell you that minimum speed above 30000 is closer to mach 06-07 NOT 0.8-0.9 and you are not required to lit the afterburners to maintain level flight or climb. Naturaly if you dont speed nearly supersonic youll never be able to climb there. Wish is not IRL, you can do that without afterburner, even if much slower. Yo-yo take note of the manuevers described in the pics I posted here: http://forum.lockon.ru/showthread.php?t=22448&page=6 and then try replicate them...you cant, why? if you use the speeds and indicated there your fighter will stall. Further more your fighter will never accelerate in vertical either.

  11. No offence Veljko, my impression of you your sig is not quite the best (most don't understand but some do) and there were few times where your posts did not make me think in good light of you, but anyway like the rest of guys said this is best sorted out in private or it will get really ugly...

  13. Theonlhy reason the streak eagle should be considered in this thread is it is an F-15 before discounting the thread list the following. 1. thrust to weight ratio of the Streak Eagle 2. the strak eagle's climb to hight 3. Thrust to weight ratio of a standard F-15C 4. an avrage climb to hight table published by the military. We know the Streak Eagle was stripped down and the engines were supped up so to expect identical performance between the Streak Eagle and a stock F-15 would be out of the question but be can use it as a yard stick if we can not pick up the facts to fill in number 4. I would asume that if the Stock F-15C has 10% less thrust to weight than the Streak Eagle then it should reach 9000 feet in the same time the Streak Eagle reaches 1000 feet with the throttle wide open and on full after burner.

  14. For the record - Comparing against the Streak Eagle records was not my idea, but rather the suggestion of an Eagle crew member. The same crew member was of the opinion that with the CFTs removed, the F-15E would easily out-perform the Streak Eagle, by virtue of its higher-rated engines. However for "political" reasons, USAF F-15E pilots are forbidden to do so, since this would reduce the apparent relative superiority of the F-22, when it breaks those records in the near future as planned. The question should not be whether the F-15C behaves like the Streak Eagle, but rather whether it behaves more like the Streak Eagle than it does like the Lock On F-15. And it does - the unclassified Dash-1 manual of the F-15 specifies how much the performance is degraded by weapons pylons, various stores, even the presence/absence of engine exhaust "turkey feathers" (IIRC). As D-Scythe correctly estimates, the degradation is very small, nowhere near the ~30% we see here. Taken together, there is plenty of unclassified material available for verifying F-15C performance in Lock On - for anyone who wants to. To suggest that flawed research is inferior to no research is indicative that we don't. -SK

  17. Well this is a little bit away of my area (airframes and power plants) but since you are asking about my opinion I'll give it a shot. :) This is how the russians implement the special operations. But I would exclude the Ka-29, it has been used as an airborne command post in Chechnya because of the lack of operational and fully tested Ka-52. The idea is, as I said can't-remember-how-many-times :D, to use one Ka-52 as a combat coordinator/target selection and distribution to the wing of 3-4 Ka-50s. For that it is two-seater and has the necessary avionics. I can't say how the Shkval only equiped 50s would perform in such tactical environment. They also might need some additional equipement especially for night operations. I'm pretty sure the weight is not an issue. The coaxial rotor can handle more than most people think ;) The problem is the development and the integration of the new weapon systems. In any case the modern combat helicopter must provide multirole implementation. You can't create a platform specialized only on CAS, antitank or whatever. The fact that the Ka-50/52 fits perfectly in mountain terrain doesn't mean that it can't handle antitank or CAS mission in flat terrain.
