Is this really true? although I agree with this decision (or rather, considering that I cannot do anything to change it), I'm deeply wounded. Why of this tightening of security for the European versions? I am not a thief and I do not piracy. Yet we are treated as if we were thieves and hackers. I am deeply disappointed and hurt. Peoples buying your products are peoples who appreciate your work and are willing to pay for your work (even twice, if necessary). Perhaps we deserve a little more confidence!!!!! I study and know russian language, and it was my desire to buy only the Russian version of BS. And now I must wait unnecessarily touches nearly 4 months, in order to buy, even if it's already available. I'd like to buy directly from 1C, but it appears that's not possible for peoples living in Europe. Really hoping to be able to buy russian version and not be forced to buy the english version. I say this because if you changed your mind once you can do it again. to what end? to continue to read: "that looks beautiful", but you must wait ... be patient ... wait ... or to continue reading unnecessary speculations on releases time, useless whis list and who knows what other things ... sorry, but at the moment I'm furious ... will end ... I cannot do anything to change any things ... however I wrote what I thought! antonio

I'm sorry, but I just don't understand how denying the west an option to legitimately buy the Russian version which has already been compromised is in any way helpful to anyone, surely all it does is lead to temptation and thus more piracy? Maybe I'm missing something?

Привет, Доблестная ED Team! По существу: 1. Начинаем сетевую игру. Выбираем подключение по IP. Поле IP пустое. А можно запомнить предыдущее значение?.. 2. А список серверов по IP сделать?.. С возможностью редактирования... ... В итоге сложилось такое мнение... За оффлайн пять с плюсом... За онлайн... ну, "типа", "смотрено". Ну ясен пень, впечатление - не результат названных предыдущих двух пунктов, а общее представление. ... Несколько раз сим зависал (только в онлайн). Помогало только снимание задачи в деспетчере задач, поэтому треков нет :( Что сделать, чтобы дать вам информацию для тестирования? Thank you very much for useful information and excuse me for dumb questions :doh: 1 years ago I participated in a similar project "Mi8T, Mi8MTV, Ka225 helicopters trainers" as a leader of airborn systems modeling team, so I was a little bit agitated when read about your project. Here is a link to our department page and the videos. Not much information unfortunatelly. Comparing our systems I can tell: * Our rotor model and hull aerodinamics uses finite elements method. It's based on TSAGI wind tunnels blowing statistics. I'm not sure but it seems more precise. For instance, we are modelling turbulent streams during landing on moving aircraft-carrier. * your damage model is much more detailed. We only imitate "the whole helicopter destruction" and some landing emergencies like "tail boom touchdown". * our environment modelling is also primitive - just some vehicles, aircrafts and ships, moving on predefined trajectories. * our visualisation/sensor system looks similar. It models various weather conditions like different kind of static clouds, fog, rain, day/night cycle, primitive dynamic shadows * for airborn systems modelling we used discrete integration with fixed step and executable statechart diagrams. Our airborn system models seems more detailed. We had implemented most of airborn systems malfunctions, specified in flight engeneer's manual. For instance for Ka226 we modelled such systems as "air system", "anti ice system", "electro system", "fire system", "fuel system", "heating system", "hydro system", "start system", "anti dust dumpers", "communication system", "transmission" and all navigation equipment. Example of Mi8T electro system malfunctions: "left/right generator failure", "accumulators failure", "main/aux current transducer faulire", "voltage loss during warm-up" The differences in level of detalization of our systems is due to different purposes: your model used in gaming, where higher level of interaction needed, and our is used to train newbie pilots, so we need more precise aerodynamics and airborn systems modelling sacrificing realistic environment. All this bu****t about legitimate customers blah blah..... This game will be able to be bought from shops around the world do you REALLY think that ONLY "legitimate innocent honest" people will buy this game. Piracy of software is EVERYWHERE (EVERY COUNTRY). And anyway who are some people on the internet to say that there shouldn't be an increase in protection (of a obviously insecure product) because we are "Innocent cute cuddly honest people". About the whole "it got cracked before so whats the point" ???????? WHAT?? Wife: You know the people next door got robbed and murderd the other day and our alarm systems broken. Husband: Really!! Gosh lets save us the hastle and money in getting ours fixed and improved, we gonna be robbed and killed anyway, Oh well. This is a good point though, but I am sure a plan can be made as even when a company goes under (doubt they will but anyway), the software and rights to it are still worth alot and will probably be bought where either the service will be continued at a low level or some other plan OR they drop the service completely and your F***ED.

While like others I am disappointed by this news, I can't say i'm truly surprised. I agree fully with ED that they have to protect their investment, Sadly its a fact of life that things get ripped off. I am peeved that some have taken the choice of illegally obtaining a copy which has led to the rest of the community being let down and creating a PR nightmare for the hard working people at ED. While I had already made the choice to get both versions when they were realised, I was only going to use russian one to get used to flying and try and do a OCU on the aircraft,before the real fun began next year. So I guess the fact its not avalible is no biggie, Just gonna have to wait for the demo and hope it gives us enough time to learn how to fly it. :) I want Ed to know, that despite the fact i'm sure they are feeling very let down by some members of this community at the mo, The vast majority of us are still here, and will support whatever action you feel is right to safeguard BS. This is going to be THE heli sim for the forseeable future and a new benchmark, one which will be worth the wait. I will wait and see what the new year brings for us, and all being well will be flying in a few short months. I just hope the pirates remember, Yes you may have been excited to get BS and couldnt wait, BUT you have screwed your fellow simmers and MAY have jepodised the rest of this project, BS has a chance of becoming amazing as more and more modules come out, BUT if you guys steal EDs work, then WHY should they spend time and money for you guys just to steal it. Maybe some of people will not like my idea, but in my personal opinion I don't like some of ED decisions which they made in last years. An example start to sell BS in Russia earlier than Europe/Usa. Maybe there is some difficulties about releasing the software in Europe/Usa however it made me little bit upset and I felt alternating standard in me. I think I voice the feelings of a Turkish people crowd in that case. My message to person who use cracked version... Buddy, if you want ED to produce more simulations and release them, you have to support ED. I bought BS Russian version already and going to buy English one too. How about you?

Hi, I was refraining from replying, but I'll post anyway. 1) I'm quite disappointed that I'm being treated like a criminal because of my geographic location. You say the Russian version is already cracked, therefore it is too late. 2) There is nothing stopping me jumping on an aircraft, flying to Russia and buying one. A tad expensive, but possible. Given the above, I see little point in restricting *legitimate purchase options* to those of us in the "West", because of the fear of piracy, when it is already available, is still available, and could still be pirated by, people in Russia/CIS. I hope political influences/powers have not stepped in here. I for one was looking forward to getting a wholly Russian version. Right now, I'm limited to getting a western version including draconian anti-piracy measures, simply because of where I live. I'm not happy, and quite upset at being viewed as a criminal by default. Why didn't they secure it like LO:FC in the first place. Also CDKEY should be a must for online-play and updates - this encourages more people to buy the game.

I'm totally aware of the whole .. lets say B. T. Wagner debate and I totally agree with the measures being taken to secure the product however I am less than impressed with this solution. I'm sorry but could someone clarify why those of us that are going to buy the DCS: BS DVD need to activate the product? LO: FC DVD has never needed activation, which is why I purchased it over the DL version, and that still remains uncracked. Are we being punished becasue a few num nuts were able to breach the security of the Russian version of BS? If LO: FC is still secure then why not use the same version of Star Force for the western DVD of DCS: BS? And how would you activate with out an internet connection?

Ive purchased all 3 versions of FC (download, gold and standalone), and even went as far as to buy it for a few other forum members here as well, and gave my downloadable copy to someone less fortunate than myself. Even though I dont see eye to eye with certain others here, that doesnt hamper my support to the devs one bit. I may not play BS, but Ill get it just to support their product (and hopefully obtain an A-10 trainer).

I'm sorry to say that I fully expected what has happened to have happened. It's very regretable, and unfortunately the people that it hurts most are those of us willing to pay for the product in the first place. Another victory for those that believe that piracy is what the internet and freedom of information is all about. Well done guys, you've forced a company to re-engineer a piece of software, and probably forced those with BS on their Christmas lists to wait until after the holidays. What makes it all the more upsetting is that this is one of the few remaining companies with the skill, expertise and willingness to put years of detailed development work into piece of software to feed an ever demanding and ever decreasing audience. It does make you wonder why they bother and dont just join the majority and make half assed console titles. Hats off to all at ED, TFC, XSI, Thunderworks, Microsoft and all the other flight sim developers out there. I for one appreciate your effort, and my dollars are waiting to back that up.

Considering that some members of this forum have posted on torrent websites using the same nick name as they have here looking for help in getting pirated copies of Black Shark to work they deserved to be banned.

Carrier landings are the coolest... I wish ships would roll and yaw on the sea like they do in IL-2. Landing on carrier in IL-2 in stormy weater is really, really hard.

Due to the mutual disappointment in having to change plans about the availability of the Russian version in the west, we are going to try to release the demo as fast as possible now. Previously, we had planned to release the demo in December but we'll now try our best to provide it much sooner to you all. At this time I do not have details of what exactly the demo will entail.

Чтобы поставить 6.0.10.7 надо плясать так: 1. Установить дрова для каждого устройства от сайтека - очень желательно, самые свежие. 2. Установить новейший SST. У меня после установки он не появляется ни в панели ПУСК ни где-либо еще, при втыкании девайсов профайлер в трее тоже не появляется. 3. Теперь надо в папке Windows\Temp\Saitek\Saitek_Cyborg_Command_Unit_SD6_32_Software\00000006\ найти и запустить файл software_loc_9.msi - этот файл добавит в систему те самые Magic Keyboard и Magic Mouse. 4. В этой же папке надо запустить Setup.exe - теперь произойдет нормальная установка, и в меню ПУСК->Программы появится закладка Saitek SD6 Programming Software со всеми необходимыми причиндалами. Только там заморочка для меня осталась, мне по душе 4 версия. Но чтобы два раза не переделывать лучше ставить поновее. У меня для ЛО в 4-ой сделано. Все же кто пользуется X-52PRO может поделитесь (хоть и не доделаным) профайлом.

There's a little bit after that quote about needing to develope the WAFM to coincide with releasing air to air-capable planes. So I'm fairly certain that the A-10 will be next.

не хочу я ничего крутить, оно того не стоит ради одного сима, ладно если бы везде так, какой резон, я не тока в Ка-50 летаю на нем, в других то все нормально летается. Если будет напрягать, ну его тогда этот симулятор, удалю с винта да и делов то!

Спасибо, но нужно кое что добавить (прнк резервные курсовертикаль и обогрев и т.д.). Но я побыстрей запускаю без лишних перепроверок, а то так долго :) По сув там сзади галетник, если надумаете сменить на другие типы НАР, то нужно щелкнуть для изменения баллистических поправок, а то попадать будут не туда где ПМ. Можно тоже добавить это туда.
